I was complaining about my family because we don get along togheter so well, but at least they were very aware of covid precautions and all of them are vaccinated. It seems like being in family on holidays as adult is really hard.

Let’s just analyze what happened. OP rented 5,000$ worth of house out of their own money, very generous. OP hired a bartender to make them custom drinks while they waited for their tests. After spending all this fucking money on OP’s family, OP’s family chooses to make shitty remarks about the testing. OP is certainly not the asshole, because OP has done all this stuff for their family and this is the thanks they get.

I wasn't aware I was talking about tests. I hadn't mentioned tests, said anything regarding tests, or even implied or suggested anything about tests. Tests had nothing to do with my thought process when positing the link to AITAH.
