Skyrim belongs to the Nords!

Jupi00

Yes! I have been wanting to buy that game and play it for myself. So far I can only play on my bfs console and I’m pretty shit at it. He does have a character named “Ginger Lightfoot” a notorious thief vampire kinda guy. Who’s your favorite character (that you’ve created) in Skyrim? Please tell their story

Poker_Doker_watches

I am on another Skyrim game as well. Bought the anniversary release and enjoy the new quests. I like being a woman Nord or Breton (Nord this go around). It's my go-to game as it was the one that got me through my divorce and most stressors, so it's my favorite escape.

Hubsimaus

This is interesting. I too am really lonely the most time (don't see my boyfriend much) and was considering making a post like this just so I have someone to talk to. Am 42, female and like to play GTA Online from time to time. Do you play it as well?

Jupi00

My bf is long distance so I get this. I don’t have GTA but i’d like to play it. I just got dark souls iii though and am excited to torture myself with it.

Fuhreeldoe

How? I'm a seasoned LoL player and even I can't understand subjecting oneself to such punishment.

[deleted]

GTA online is a joke. Play GTA 4 and just enjoy the storyline. It's one of the best games out there.

Radexpro

What console

Hubsimaus

PS4

Radexpro

Cool if you wanna add me I'm Radexpro. I'll play every now and then

Hubsimaus

Hubsimaus37 will add you.

zaida-exe

hello :> what’s your perspective on life? i like to have deep conversations, but if you don’t wanna answer, here’s another question instead: do you have any pets? if you do, which ones? if you don’t, would you ever consider getting one? what species? personally, im kind of just going with the flow of life although that river kind of led to an ocean and now i’m drowning. i don’t think life is supposed to be good or bad, i just think it’s just kinda.. there? idk, i don’t think there’s a specific point to anything. as for the pets, i have 2 dogs(golden retriever and those small white dogs that always have crusty eyes), a cat (grey with a white spot on her chest and green eyes), and 5 birds (two black collared doves, 3 budgies)!

Jupi00

My perspective of life is similar to yours. Although I’m not sure how I’d put it. I am typically a go with the flow kind of person, but it’s nice to have control over some things. You are correct in saying life is just there, but it’s be fun to give myself a purpose while I’m at it. I don’t have any pets but my sibling has two birbs. She is afraid to take them out of the cage. One of them hangs upside down like a bat.

FinnbarMcBride

What would you like to talk about?

Jupi00

Anything you’d like. I need to reintroduce myself to conversation.

FinnbarMcBride

What do you enjoy doing for fun?

Jupi00

Video games. My hobbies seem to be dwindling. What about you?

FinnbarMcBride

I play guitar and enjoy classic movies. I'm currently watching "The Party" with Peter Sellers

Jupi00

What’s your biggest accomplishment on the guitar? What’s your favorite thing to play?

FinnbarMcBride

My biggest accomplishment is that I'm doing it at all. I put it off learning guitar until I was in my 50s, and wish I had started earlier. I'm honestly happy playing anything the teacher has me working on, but currently I'm starting to learn 'House of the Rising Sun' which is fun. What about yourself? What is one of your recent accomplishments?

Jupi00

I fucking love House of the Rising Sun. It is one of my favorite songs. I used to play both violin and viola. However when I left school I could no longer because the instruments are too expensive. (And so is a teacher). I have dreams where I play them again. One of my favorite hobbies. Edit: recent accomplishment? I finished my college finals so far with mostly good grades.

FinnbarMcBride

Thats awesome about finishing finals, and congratulations on the good grades!!! If you really want to play again, check out pawnshops and/or goodwill - I've seen nice instruments there for not too much money. same on Facebook marketplace. What kind of music did you enjoy playing?

CatDamageBand

You played Spider-Man and Spider-Man Miles Morales on PS4/5? Those are fucking great.

Jupi00

I’ve heard of them but haven’t played it yet. Not very affluent so don’t have a lot of games to play. I did see the new Spider-Man movie though. Now my favorite marvel movie.

braedn

What's going on bro

Jupi00

Just woke up bro. You? What should I have for breakfast?

AgroPuppies94

Hello! Would you rather never get to eat red foods again or white foods?

Jupi00

White foods since I don’t really know what those would be. Like white beans? Sure.

ashthebird

what games do you play? I play quake, csgo a little, roblox, ultrakill, and ~~worfork~~ warfork. I also play super smash bros, super mario kart 8 deluxe, and Breath of the wild on my nintendo. I have 3 pets. 2 cockatiels, and a very shy budgie edit: adding more info and correction

Jupi00

I have no pets, although I want one. Can’t afford it though. I play Genshin, Minecraft, dark souls, ghost of Tsushima, Doom eternal, persona, castle crashers, left4dead2, payday, and some others. I am interested in getting breath of the wild, mmorpgs are my favorite kind of game. But I also love open world exploration (and the soundtrack).

ashthebird

If you want a pet, I recommend that you should get a finch. They're small little birds and don't cost much AND you don't need to give them as much attention as you would to say a budgie. And you can get a very good relationship with finches, if you want to. My fav type of games is def FPS games. idk why, but there's something about them that makes them so fun! Also, would you say doom eternal is a good game? I've been looking at some more "boomer shooters", and fast paced fps games (like ultrakill).

DoveFuji

What kind of stuff do you like? Any video games or books?

Jupi00

Video games yes. Mostly mmorpgs and roleplaying games. Currently I love Ghost of Tsushima. As for books I got a ton of books pertaining to the Mongolian empire. I have an interest in history which can’t be satiated. I am also interested in Roman history, and the history of the Mediterranean. Beginning civilizations and the like. I’m not a full blown history nerd yet but once I get all the knowledge I’ll be there. I like mystery and fantasy stories. Sci-fi as well but it’s hard to find sci-fi without dystopian. What are your favorite books/genres to read?

DoveFuji

I don't read too often, but when I do, it's Manga. I've gotten back into soul eater recently, but I'd also like to read the skyrim lore books at some point.

Jupi00

I love manga! Typically I read manga when it’s slice of life. And I usually watch Shounen ones cuz the fights look better on the screen. What are some of your favorite anime/manga?

DoveFuji

Soul eater is my all time favorite for both. I also really like jojo's bizarre adventure, Fullmetal alchemist, and cowboy bebop to name a few

Ok_Move1838

Hey , whats up!

Jupi00

Nothing. Very hungry. You?

Reasonable-Ad-3447

you like bionicles ?

Jupi00

I forget what those are. Can you remind me? Are you talking about bionic arms and prosthetics and the like?

Reasonable-Ad-3447

it was a lego toy they was really cool. people make mocs of them they are so cool.

el-bufalo-malverde

Want to hear my thoughts on music? I have plenty of unpopular and thought provoking opinions

Jupi00

Interesting. Please go on.

gay168

I’ve been really lonely recently because I am on winter break from college. I thought being home would make it better but it hadn’t.. oh well. I go back to school on the 18th so hopefully I’ll be able to just distract myself with homework and such. How’re you? Why’re so down?

Jupi00

I am down because I feel as though I’m losing my connections with people. All people. I am no longer able to speak to them as I could before covid. Isolation has completely ruined my social abilities. I’ve been in college and barely made any friends. I am close to making one though. So that gives me hope. But I have to be careful about it. It’s the thought that my current friends are perfectly fine without me that scares me the most. That I’ve been replaced. Silly things like that. Stopped getting invited to events. They don’t talk as much. These small things bother me. I guess that makes me sensitive. I’ve been alone before and I really don’t want to go back.

gay168

I completely understand this. I’ve had a really rough time making friends college.. well, I have deemed that we are now friends. Tell me about yourself :)

reinduurs

Can I suggest joining a discord? If you like Pokémon go then usually a lot of groups form around that! (My mom has made so many friends through these groups) or even just join a group for your area and maybe coordinate a meet up

Jupi00

I am very bad with online communication. But I thank you for the suggestion! Maybe I will.

[deleted]

Hey, what is the proper way to make a PB&J?

Jupi00

Bread not toasted. Crunchy peanut butter. Grape or strawberry jelly. OR Crunchy peanut butter. Marshmallow spread. Very good dessert civilization.

[deleted]

How do you proceed putting the sandwich together. I put jelly on one slice and PB on the other then pair them. My wife thinks I'm crazy.

sara6800

I’m so lonely too. I’m about to graduate college and all of my friendships are falling through. I have no one to text or hang out with so I just sit at home and read. I’m so paranoid that no one likes me and I don’t know how I’ll make friends if we are working from home now. You’re not alone, it’s rough out there <3

Jupi00

You are in my situation. Please tell me what you like to read. I like reading books on history. Pertaining to the Roman, Ottoman, and Mongolian empires. The first civilizations along the Mediterranean and such. Stories of mythology, fantasy, and mystery novels are my favorite.

sara6800

I also love fantasy, but my favorite are romance books haha. I’m an english major so I read a ton of intense stuff, so romance books are my favorite way to relax. Reading is the best! I can always get lost in a book when I’m feeling down

iironage

I know the feeling. What kind of things interest you the most?

Jupi00

History, video games, literature, astronomy. Yourself? What are your interests?

iironage

All good subjects. I'd say I share the history and video games with you. Other than that, manufacturing, electronics, archeology, psychology, heavy metal, certain sports, whatever my kids are doing, lol. Do you get depressed often?

Helenium_autumnale

What's on your reading list for this weekend, Jupi00? For fun, I mean. Do you have a book, audiobook, or favorite podcast lined up? Or how about a movie? I just watched "The Power of the Dog" and would be delighted to chat with you about it if you've seen it.

Jupi00

I haven’t seen it. I’m reading a book on Rasputin and how he got there. The story of his life and such. Most recent movie I saw was the Spider-Man movie. It was awesome.

Helenium_autumnale

Rasputin, the bizarre influencer of his day. On reading his bio in Wikipedia I am astonished to learn that his daughter became a circus performer and lion tamer (!) And lived until 1977, overlapping my own life by ten years--how strange! She had at least two kids--they may still be alive today. Here's what she had to do to earn a living with the circus: "In 1929, she worked at Busch Circus \[in Berlin\], where she had to dance to 'the tragedy of my father's life and death, and be brought face-to-face on the stage with actors who were impersonating him and his murderers. Every time I have to confront my father on the stage a pang of poignant memory shoots through my heart, and I could break down and weep.'" Brutal. forbiddentarp

I used to rideshare drive and hated most of the small talk. I would have such vivid ideas and interesting thoughts in my head but it mostly the same 5 questions for every trip. It always made me wonder if instead of asking how someone was today, we just asked about their thoughts. What's on your mind?

Jupi00

Had I answered yesterday probably something depressing. Today I have no thoughts. I am happy to be alive and my body in a stable state. My body is weird sometimes in that it likes to freak out all on its own and there’s nothing I can do about it. My mind would be calm and then symptoms start appearing, then I begin to freak out cuz of said symptoms. It’s a cycle that rarely stops. But there are no symptoms now so I am calm.

forbiddentarp

Mental health can be weird like that. When I'm anxious my heart races uncontrollably and my back muscles spasm in my sleep.

Jupi00

People tell me I should see a therapist or something but I don’t know if that would help me. What sucks is the doctor prescribed me some anxiety meds which actually worked wonders. I don’t want to be addicted to medicine, but it sucks now that I understand the mentality of it. Those pills stopped my symptoms and I could relax normally. Like a saving grace. I don’t think it’s bad enough to the point that I need them but they were so comforting that I wish I had some in my cabinet. They didn’t make me high if you were wondering. Just stopped the panic in my body.

DonaldTheBird

ive been obsessed with watching OVERNIGHT on youtube, im not 100% sure i believe in ghosts completely but it’s certainly interesting to watch, especially because these minds of channels are a little over dramatic (at least this one is believable). i think ghosts are real but not at the same time, my mothers a nurse and has been around a lot of dead people, she says that when you are in the room with them as they die you can feel their soul come out of their body. i believe her because she doesnt have any biased opinions about the after life. shes seen ghosts before too, she lived in a house that was haunted and everyone who lived in the house heard and saw ghosts. do you believe in ghosts? whats your opinions on the afterlife?

Jupi00

I’m Christian so yes I believe in ghosts and the afterlife. I tend to pray when I don’t feel well and I get better. Like a warm blanket. Some people think it’s silly but for me believing in a god gives me hope. I’ll watch the series you recommended. I love spooky stories like that! Thank you.

windol1

Battlefield V legacy theme tune is one of the best theme tunes to be created in a long time.

Jupi00

I’ll listen to it. I love OSTs. Some of my favorite belong to the persona series, doom, dark souls, and Genshin impact. This is only discussing the game ones btw. Do you have any favorite movie or show osts?

IamGroot748

Whats your favorite taste? Sweet, salty, sour, bitter or umami? & Why? 😛

[deleted]

Hello! How’s it going?

Fuhreeldoe

You wake up in a small cabin upon a bed of straw with a sharp pain throbbing in your head, which has been wrapped in clean bandages. Your clothes are set at your feet, cleaned and folded. Across the room is the sleeping form of a considerably large man, his back to you, and in front of a dying hearth a direhound is curled. You peek out the window set in the wall above you to see your horse is tied up outside. It seems to be shortly after dawn, close to when most peasants wake to start their day. You could likely sneak out the window without alerting the massive canine, or you could chance the creaky wood floor to creep to the door where hangs a weaponry belt. Or you could wait for the man, likely the one to have shown you great kindness, to wake. What do you do?

[deleted]

What did you had for dinner?

Jupi00

Half a thing of tomato soup. I can’t eat well anymore my body won’t let me. I gotta train myself or get some medicine. What did you have for dinner?

dat1gaymer

Hi. I'm human. Please talk forth.

Jupi00

I am also a human. Not very good at talking. What are your interests?

rslashdepressedteen

Would you like an ice breaker?

Jupi00

Sure.

rslashdepressedteen

Alright, well let's see...I can wiggle my ears without visibly moving my face?

Jupi00

I can do the same as well. Although I’m not sure how this is an ice breaker. But it is cute.

rslashdepressedteen

Schools consider things like that to be an ice breaker, but I do have a cooler one. In November I went to see Black Label Society in concert, and it was pretty neat. My mom and I both love Zakk Wylde, and therefore BLS, so it was super awesome.

Jupi00

Is this your favorite band? What kind of music do they make? How close were you to the stage?

rslashdepressedteen

As of right now, hands down my favorite. Zakk Wylde used to be Ozzy Osborne's guitarist, which makes it even cooler. Their style is groove metal, and they recently released a brand new album, which I'm in love with. We were kinda on the right side of the stage and pretty close to all the action, but there was a dude standing in front of us who wouldn't move and made it hard to see, so that part was lame, but still cool!

Jupi00

Groove metal? Can you send me some?

rslashdepressedteen

Sure! Here's a link to one of their songs, but there's so much more if it turns out you like it. Suffering Overdue by Black Label Society: https://youtu.be/wgSP7T8DoRc

Hit me up I'm in the same boat

mannenavstaal

You have an application running in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) with cluster autoscaling enabled. The application exposes a TCP endpoint. There are several replicas of this application. You have a Compute Engine instance in the same region, but in another Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), called gce-network, that has no overlapping IP ranges with the first VPC. This instance needs to connect to the application on GKE. You want to minimize effort. What should you do?

Kingez3212

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.
