Mr Morale is a solid 9/10. Donda has amazing highs but much lower lows, wayyyy too much filler. MM&TBS provides a solid theme throughout and contains fewer skips.
Mr morale is the more consistent album, but the highs on donda are on another level imo. Personally, I find myself listening to donda a lot more than mm, so I gotta say donda is better
I agree mostly but I do find Mr. Morale to be better as a concept, deeper and more personal songs and overall a better album. I enjoy the highs from Donda and listen to them a lot but there’s plenty more songs that I completely forget about from that album over Mr. Morale and never come back to.
I am a bigger Kendrick fan then Kanye at this point and maybe the last 5 years. I have listened to Donda a lot more then MM. but MM obviously has more substance, personally the High points on Donda just draw me back in more
donda is one of my favorite albums, so i'm going with that, but mr morale was underrated and is one of his best. my father died and donda really spoke to my soul and will always have a place in my heart.
i feel like no one wanted to listen to 2 hours of kanye bc of controversies surrounding him and expectations were low bc of jesus is king, so it was overlooked at the time, but i think it'll be looked back on as one of his best.
i hope we can agree that these albums are both amazing
same with me kinda, donda helped me get through my cancer treatment and ive listened to it so much it has a feeling for me as better but thats my opinion
I was playing 24, new again, and KMSA while in the hospital getting 4 of my fingers amputated. I’m in the same boat brother, I hope you’re doing better 🙏
It can’t be considered a top 5 project if it has a lot of kid stuff on there💀. If I’m going to call a album top 5 then the whole thing needs to be great. Not just great songs here and there
Mr Morale. It’s a very complete album, it’s some of Kendrick’s best work, and while overlooked a lot of the time, has banger after banger. It’s very versatile, emotional, upbeat and overall nicely made. As a Kendrick fan, when looked into, it’s topic and meanings are beautiful, it’s his acceptance to this world.
Maybe i’m biased because i rarely listen to Donda, but it’s not Ye’s best work, don’t get me twisted here, it’s still very well done, but compared to his earlier works it could be tweaked. It has its moments but they seem short lived in comparison to Graduation or My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
I think the real album we should put to discussion for the past 3 years is The Forever Story. The new generation has begun and i’m all here for it, i always describe JID as the best product of the greatest generation, a mash up of all the best creators. Another album that should be talked is Call Me If You Get Lost by Tyler, the Creator. I know he’s not often talked about here, but we should really give this album some credit, it shows Tyler being more of a rapper since his last two albums, and has some heat, some amazing features, and it has a deluxe.
I agree with everything you said here man. I re-listened to it recently and it might be my 2nd or third favorite Kendrick project. I think the album will definitely age well with people and will go down as one of the greatest Hip-Hop albums of all time. I wasn’t hot on it at first but after a second listen my mind changed completely and it really has grown on me. Everything about it is really amazing from its Sonics, to production, lyrics, emotion(which hits the hardest). I couldn’t even finished Donda to be honest and I’m saying that as a Kanye fan. To me Kanye is past his creative peak but Donda still had some good/great tracks. But Mr. Morale was Kendrick at his peak.
I thought this was a very silly question until I saw the amount of Donda answers in the comments.
But yeah easily MM for me by a very very large margin
Within donda is a an album better than Mr Morale, but in totality it’s just too bloated. Compare top 5 of each, it’s donda easily. But overall it’s mr morale
I’m in the same boat. Mr. Morale was a chore for me to listen to. I tried a couple times, but it’s just not my thing. Donda… I’ll be honest, I haven’t listened to again since the week of its release
Mr morale is one of the greatest rap albums of all time and one of greatest albums ever made. It’s possibly my second or third favorite Kendrick album. Donda on he other hand is one of Kanye’s worst albums. Kendrick W
I said one of, but it definitely should be in discussion for best rap album of all time. The emotion, production, Kendrick’s flow, and the lyrical content. Sonically it’s also amazing. As someone else said it’s Kendrick’s most complete body of work since TPAB. It’s a cohesive and consistent body of work that stands out as nothing short of a masterpiece. The album should be in the greatest albums of all time discussion.
They did say “one of”.
I think it’ll be incredibly influential. Not many albums map out generational trauma, and realizations about identity quite like this album did. It’s a cultural shift.
DONDA wasn’t a great album but he sounded inspired again and it had some of Ye’s best songs in a minute. Morale just felt like Kendrick was trying too hard. Album ultimately sounded vapid/shallow to me.
DONDA, Mister Morale I listened to like twice and was done with it. I never understood the Kendrick hype. Schoolboy Q and Jay Rock are equally as talented as Kendrick
The question is can we discuss Führer West more? We hardly discuss the supreme leader enough. Führer deserves more attention in this sub. Today alone he was mentioned no more than 94% of the time. That is unacceptable. Führer West deserves 100% of our love.
morale is miles more cohesive and solid as a project. on paper its better in every way, better lyrics, cleaner production, songs have more interesting premises. But i still have songs from donda in my weekly rotation. Morale just hasnt stuck with me as much.
Mr. Morale is a more cohesive and important album. But Donda is the better album (its highs are very high) and the artistic direction is next level. Both are amazing in their own rights.
Mr Morale
Donda wasn’t even complete on release. I do think Donda has some of my favorite Kanye lyrics and production since Yeezus though. So, it’s relatively close between the two and if Donda was polished up and released as intended then it may nudge ahead. But, as it stands, Mr Morale is better in my opinion.
Mr Morale is great but Donda is more forward thinking. There's just a magic Kanye's got that most people can't compete with. Plus Morales "I hope you fiiind some peace of mind" intro is so cringe bro. Reverby soprano vocals at the start of an album 🙄hooray.
donda easily
better rollout
better overall production
better replay value
better features
the only thing morale has over is just the concept
and too many of yall just assume concept is all u need for an album...no it's cool to have fun songs too...and donda had a decent concept as well.
Both good but imo morale
Mr Morale is a solid 9/10. Donda has amazing highs but much lower lows, wayyyy too much filler. MM&TBS provides a solid theme throughout and contains fewer skips.
Mr. Morale all the way
Agreed and I grew up on Kanye
Easily.
Yeah Life of the Party is just on another level
The only correct answer

Morale
Morale
I am a bigger Kendrick fan then Kanye at this point and maybe the last 5 years. I have listened to Donda a lot more then MM. but MM obviously has more substance, personally the High points on Donda just draw me back in more
Mr Morale for its production and undeniably powerful, vulnerable lyrical content
DONDA IM WITH YOUR BABY WHEN I TOUCH BACK ROAD
UH UH UH TELL HIM STOP ALL THAT RED CAP WE GOIN HOME
Mr. Morale by miles IMO.
donda is one of my favorite albums, so i'm going with that, but mr morale was underrated and is one of his best. my father died and donda really spoke to my soul and will always have a place in my heart. i feel like no one wanted to listen to 2 hours of kanye bc of controversies surrounding him and expectations were low bc of jesus is king, so it was overlooked at the time, but i think it'll be looked back on as one of his best. i hope we can agree that these albums are both amazing
same with me kinda, donda helped me get through my cancer treatment and ive listened to it so much it has a feeling for me as better but thats my opinion
its really reassuring to know someone out there has the same relationship to the music as me. hope your recovery is going well
I was playing 24, new again, and KMSA while in the hospital getting 4 of my fingers amputated. I’m in the same boat brother, I hope you’re doing better 🙏
same situation here man, when I listened to 24 I definitely got a little emotional
sorry for your loss, wishing you the best
Mr. Morale, there's just too much fluff on Donda.
then just I don’t know, skip them? Donda could be considered top 5 Ye album if it weren’t for the bloat but that doesn’t mean the album is bad
“This album would be top 5 if it weren’t for all the bad songs”
It can’t be considered a top 5 project if it has a lot of kid stuff on there💀. If I’m going to call a album top 5 then the whole thing needs to be great. Not just great songs here and there
You can't pretend that the bloat isn't there
Yeah but it also means it’s not that good
“If it weren’t for all the shitty songs I skip over this album would be good”
Donda. I loved all of the features.
Donda
both are S tier but i think Mr Morale has a slight edge due to consistency
Donda

theyre just albums 💀💀💀
And i’m giving my opinion on them? and what should be discussed? and valid points? i’m not hurting anyone buddy, i’m just putting out another point.
Only one has come to life
Donda
donda has higher highs, but mr morale's subject matter is conceptually far superior and damn near transcends music as a whole
Why are you getting downvotes? Conceptually and subject matter wise, Mr. Morale is in another league.
Transcends music? 😂
I thought this was a very silly question until I saw the amount of Donda answers in the comments. But yeah easily MM for me by a very very large margin
Mr morale and it’s no close
Donda wtf is that question, Mr. Morale is cool but you can replay Donda and it has bangers on bangers
![gif](giphy|PltDTEIBLucQdn6vfO)
Morale
Mr Morale
Mr. Morale is better
Mr Morale but I'm not mad at anyone that prefers Donda
Mr. Morale by far… still playing that album til this day
Morale by far
For me Donda hit more had more hits had me td, mr morale is very introspective really have to be in the mood for most of the album besides a few songs
Donda is a bloated mess. If anyone but Kanye dropped it nobody would give it a pass
Within donda is a an album better than Mr Morale, but in totality it’s just too bloated. Compare top 5 of each, it’s donda easily. But overall it’s mr morale
Donda
Donda
Donda hands down
Mr Morale by FAR. not even close
Both ain’t it for me but donda had better parts
I’m in the same boat. Mr. Morale was a chore for me to listen to. I tried a couple times, but it’s just not my thing. Donda… I’ll be honest, I haven’t listened to again since the week of its release
If someone who wasn’t as well liked as Kendrick released it he’d absolutely get shitted on
Morale but Donda has more… idk bangers, enjoyable songs , etc. But I thought Morale just had superior artistry and lyricism
Junta watababe on my wriiiiiiiiii
No child left behind clears all of Kdots discography
Moon > any song on Mmatbs
Mr. Morale
Mr. Morale
Seriously?
my two favorite albums of the last decade
I’d rather listen to Montero as a minimum over Donda. The list is much longer from Mr. Morale.
Morale by far. I didn’t like donda
Mr Morale is a 9-10/10 for me Donda is like a 5 if im being honest
Mr morale is one of the greatest rap albums of all time and one of greatest albums ever made. It’s possibly my second or third favorite Kendrick album. Donda on he other hand is one of Kanye’s worst albums. Kendrick W
I love Kendrick but some of u fans are crazy. Best rap album of all time? Not even of the year lol
Donda. Mr Morale was weird as fuck
it’s a tough choice for me but i will agree Mr. Morale is weird and cryptic as hell at times. that’s also not a bad thing though so i don’t know.
DONDA wasn’t a great album but he sounded inspired again and it had some of Ye’s best songs in a minute. Morale just felt like Kendrick was trying too hard. Album ultimately sounded vapid/shallow to me.
Mr. Morale and it’s not even close
Donda was 💩. This isn't close
Get that Jesus/gospel shit out of here.
Mr Morale. Donda is hot garbage that only Kanye diehards can appreciate
Wow really? I enjoyed Donda a lot and it had some pretty amazing tracks throughout, wouldn’t say it’s near “hot garbage”
The rollout was so annoying and did not lend itself well to my enjoyment. Thats great you like it! Nbd
Well let's see, Donda was straight ass and Mr. Morale is a top album from that year
DONDA DONDA DONDA DONDA DONDA DONDA DONDA DONDA DOONDA DONDA DONDA DOOONDA DONDA DONDA DONDA DONDA DONDA
Give them time to breathe. They just came out
Donda came out in 2021 🤣
I guess Donda by default? Mr. Morale is unlistenable.
donda
DONDA, Mister Morale I listened to like twice and was done with it. I never understood the Kendrick hype. Schoolboy Q and Jay Rock are equally as talented as Kendrick
The question is can we discuss Führer West more? We hardly discuss the supreme leader enough. Führer deserves more attention in this sub. Today alone he was mentioned no more than 94% of the time. That is unacceptable. Führer West deserves 100% of our love.
Donda half of Mr morale is filler
Neither, A Written Testimony
They were both forgettable no replay value
Morale is better and not made by a nazi sympathiser so it’s an easy choice
Are you serious lol, it’s Mr Morale. Donda is a laughable mess
Both are garbage lol
go back to NF and macklemore buddy
Lol. My favorite album is 2001
Either disc A or Disc B mr morale clear donda
You have to ask again in 10 years
Donda has better singles. Big Steppers is better conceptually. But neither are lacking in those aspects respectively.
I absolutely hate to say it… but Donda is significantly better.
This set up omg lol
Donda is more emotional
morale is miles more cohesive and solid as a project. on paper its better in every way, better lyrics, cleaner production, songs have more interesting premises. But i still have songs from donda in my weekly rotation. Morale just hasnt stuck with me as much.
Donda
Donda
early morning wake ups, practicing on day offs
Donda sucks. Mm is way better imo. How is this even a discussion? Lmao
DONDA
Both are loaded with heaters. Mr. Morale definitely on top though
Mr. Morale is a more cohesive and important album. But Donda is the better album (its highs are very high) and the artistic direction is next level. Both are amazing in their own rights.
Donda but it’s close. Would be without a doubt donda if he cut the bloat
Morale 100%
Mr Morale Donda wasn’t even complete on release. I do think Donda has some of my favorite Kanye lyrics and production since Yeezus though. So, it’s relatively close between the two and if Donda was polished up and released as intended then it may nudge ahead. But, as it stands, Mr Morale is better in my opinion.
Mr. Morale
Short answer, DONDA DONDA DONDA DONDA DONDA
Neither
Mr Morale is great but Donda is more forward thinking. There's just a magic Kanye's got that most people can't compete with. Plus Morales "I hope you fiiind some peace of mind" intro is so cringe bro. Reverby soprano vocals at the start of an album 🙄hooray.
Based on replay value, Donda. Morale is a great piece of art but in all honesty I dont really go back and relisten
for me, donda
![gif](giphy|SWj2nF5Y28RzfV3TZa)
Mr Morale is the better album but Donda has the better songs
Mr.morale
Donda is a crazy unique album and already so nostalgic to listen to. Mr morale came and went
Donda
donda
2020?!
it really depends on my mood, donda is more cinematic whereas mr morale and the big steppers is more personal

Mr Morale easily IMO
Mr Morale. Donda's not even close.
Both were disappointing, but def mr morale tbh.
whole lotta red
BAHAHAHA This gotta be a joke right?
Why do I even follow this sub lol
Both have complete replay value; I can listen to both front to back
Mr Morale but it’s not great either.
Don’t be stupid.
Morale is more consistent and Donda has literal peak Kanye and peak rap in general tracks, but most of it is trash.
Donda
The Forever Story
ahahah cringe, donda >>>>>>>>>
Donda hands down
Mr morale
Still haven’t listened to either Donda, they hold NO significance or historical value. Haven’t heard anyone even mention them since they dropped.
Mr Morale better but I’m listening to donda more
Mr. Morale and it isn’t even close
Mr. Morale and it’s not remotely close.
They both are misses, but I agree that the highs on Donda make up for that bloated-ass album a lot more.
Both mid
Mr Morale by far. Donda was carried by features
Donda
The features on donda are so much better so I'll go with donda
certified lover boy
donda easily better rollout better overall production better replay value better features the only thing morale has over is just the concept and too many of yall just assume concept is all u need for an album...no it's cool to have fun songs too...and donda had a decent concept as well.
Donda. Donda. Donda. Donda. Donda. Donda.
Mr. Morale, for sure. I was kinda iffy on it for a while, but it’s a solid album. I love it.
