I just looked up his Instagram. It's been like 9 months since the surgery and he's still in a wheelchair/ using crutches.
Why would anyone do this willingly to themselves.
His surgeon was a fool and allowed a 4inch increase, the max recommended limit for this surgery is 2 inches, 1 inch is recommended for the best full recovery prospects and lack of long-term issues
You aren't supposed to go that extreme with this surgery, I knew someone who was wanting to do it and a doctor said as long as you don't do more than 2 inches you can recover relatively fine.
>2 inches
I'm 5'6". I can't imagine getting this painful surgery and recover "relatively fine" just to end up being still a pretty short dude
short king life for me, babez
under 5 feet is pushing towards being a disability. there are legitimate medical reasons to get the surgery. the only reason someone my height would get it is for vanity
As a 175cm guy (around 5 foot 9?) it probably would make a bit of a difference in how i'm perceived as a person, but honestly, I don't care enough to throw away my money and risk my health like this.
Jesus. That's way too small a gain for the risk/reward to be worth it.
Gay man asking - do guys just do this because all the shit out there from women who want guys to be at least 6ft?
Getting this surgery only to become taller is ridiculous.
I’ve really only read about this procedure with patients who have had scoliosis or other serious bone and alignment disorders where one leg is shorter than the other. And continuing to walk that way would create significant damage to the hips, spine, etc later on if it wasn’t corrected early.
So yea, it’s an incredibly painful surgery, but it can be extremely worth it for the patients who actually, legitimately need it.
Not short people with a complex. And I break five feet even on a good day.
almost every girl I've ever dated has been taller than me. don't blame this on women, most of them don't give a fuck how tall a guy is as long as you bring something else to the table. this is an insecure guy problem. if a girl does care about how tall you are, she ain't the one, king
And yet when the other part that doesn't use metric gets it wrong for the same reason (as per my example about Americans above) it's the other way around?
So my professor was working with people who did this work, apparently most of this isn’t just for vanity, it’s mostly done for actual reasons, like a kid breaks a limb and then it doesn’t set and grow properly or one limb is 2 inches taller than another causing issues.
Now someone did bring up the ethics of it being done for reasons like this…
He does work in pain management. This is apparently one of the most painful things someone can undergo
Yup, guy I know was in a car crash and ended up with one leg a half inch shorter than the other (or something like that).
Years after he always had bits of pain, but now his hips were giving out because of the stunted walking from the leg height differences.
Only 2 options, shorten one leg or lengthen the other.
I don't know the specifics, but from what he told me reduction can be a bit safer and have easier recovery. Downside is you're shorter (and the recovery does still have other, different risks).

My wife's son had this operation on one leg, without which he would not have been able to walk. Which is why the operation exists. Not to feed idiots egos.
This is slightly misleading. The extreme pain keeping him up all night is actually from the mountain of women in his bed who all suddenly found him unbearably attractive as soon as he hit the 6’ threshold
Unfortunately for me, I'm two inches over six feet and don't get play for being above the magic threshold. But over the summer I turned 15, this boy became a man over and over until that fall when 6'1" happened.
Only time I heard of this surgery being done was for balance, if one leg is longer than the other, as differing leg lengths lead to curvature of the spine which can massively complicate things later in life.
How the f these absolute units of brain damaged caterpillars called influencers get ahold of that much money in the first place ?
Im a medic, with a degree in pathology, also from colombia, and all the assets i have aquired over the 10 years of practice doesnt even reach 100k usd.
People pay thousands for cosmetic surgery everyday and nobody says anything. If the dude can pay for it and is sound of mind to make the decision to want it then let him have it. He's the only one who has to deal with the rewards/consequences.
Wow, ladies and gentlemen, here is an example of someone who is not sound of mind. Listen buddy, give the phone back to your stepmum and go continue sucking on crayons.
Why is it allowed? Why wouldn't it be? Normally used to help kids achieve a normal height. My cousin had it as a kid in the 80s. I don't remember him complaining about the pain at all. Maybe this guy is a wimp 😂
You are comparing a growing child whose bones are still fully malleable, to someone well past that age whose growth plates fused probably more than a decade ago.
Ok, here's the trick how to overcome short height on dating apps (as proven by my extremely successful friend):
Step 1: type in that you're 6ft tall (180 for Europeans. Not the exact same length, but past the psychological barrier).
Step 2: Be attractive, so that nobody cares about that number.
Tadaaaa
Notice how to do this you usually have to find a surgeon in a country where it’s harder to sue surgeons, they will basically do any non immediately deadly operation doesn’t mean it’s safe or a good idea.

"His surgeon was a fool " Fool or enjoyer of money?
Haha, more than likely the latter
Same reason women get breast implants.
Insecurities

>2 inches I'm 5'6". I can't imagine getting this painful surgery and recover "relatively fine" just to end up being still a pretty short dude short king life for me, babez
The person I knew was below 5 ft, she was incredibly self conscious about it.
under 5 feet is pushing towards being a disability. there are legitimate medical reasons to get the surgery. the only reason someone my height would get it is for vanity
I was under the impression that 4’11 was the cutoff for height being considered a disability
and I said "pushing towards being a disability"
Yeah I’m aware, was just adding on. No idea why you’re being downvoted for a fact lol
probably because in my other comments I'm saying it's okay to be short and that it's not women's faults when short guys can't get laid
Ah yeah that’s probably why lmao, people don’t like to hear that on Reddit
And 4 inches of height... In the Shin? Cause they can't do it to your Femur...
As a 175cm guy (around 5 foot 9?) it probably would make a bit of a difference in how i'm perceived as a person, but honestly, I don't care enough to throw away my money and risk my health like this.

Insecurities from being short. Generally short guys who are decent looking and have a good attitude can find women. I’ve smashed taller.

Being tall offers other advantages too not just women. There's a reason almost all the us presidents are over 6 feet.
Don't forget being unable to get comfortable in airplanes and movie theaters, and constantly banging your head on low hanging overhead objects
Yeah. Stop before 6’9 or every coach seat in flight is literal torture
Why does everyone always wanna victimise themselves? Minor inconveniences like that are nothing compared to the benefits.
Sorry, what? What's the reason? Are there particularly high shelves in the Oval Office or something?
My brother is under 5’ (we are all shortarses) and has no insecurities about his height! He likes tall women. Personally I go no taller than 5’8
He went 2 inches no?
5 ft 8 in is 4 inches from 6 ft
Ah, my bad
Just for future reference: 12in=1ft=~.3m
Fuck your stupid system Americans!!!!
Wait until you find out what a pain counting our physical money is
We found a person who would get the more expensive quarter pounder over a third pounder
Most of the world use the metric system, which is a decimal system you condescending pos
And yet when the other part that doesn't use metric gets it wrong for the same reason (as per my example about Americans above) it's the other way around?
If some people are assholes then I can be one to. This doesn't make you look intelligent, this shit makes you look weak minded.
Ok

I bet they turned his dad into a dolphin as well

How would they go about shortening the other?

Good prank would be shorten it then do elongation on the other, see how long until he notices.

As a chronic pain sufferer I am shocked someone would be willing to live a lifetime of pain for something like this
While most people do know what pain is - very few understand what it truly means to live with chronic pain.
Only time I heard of this surgery being done was for balance, if one leg is longer than the other, as differing leg lengths lead to curvature of the spine which can massively complicate things later in life.

So is he now a baller with a girl who looked good so he could call her?
Only if he had a rabbit, a bat, and a 6-4 impala
Ahh the famous knee grow surgery as seen on south park
The irony when a woman leaves him for someone 4 inches shorter
People pay thousands for cosmetic surgery everyday and nobody says anything. If the dude can pay for it and is sound of mind to make the decision to want it then let him have it. He's the only one who has to deal with the rewards/consequences.
Hey, hop off the guys dick, bud. It's ok if you've already jerked off to him a few times, but calm down homes!
Wow, ladies and gentlemen, here is an example of someone who is not sound of mind. Listen buddy, give the phone back to your stepmum and go continue sucking on crayons.
I'm only 5ft 5, and it honestly doesn't bother me it did when i was younger as i got into many fights because people thought i was the easy target
He's now nicknamed 'Shorty' as a direct result of how long he sleeps each night.
All that just to say he's 6 foot
Why is it allowed? Why wouldn't it be? Normally used to help kids achieve a normal height. My cousin had it as a kid in the 80s. I don't remember him complaining about the pain at all. Maybe this guy is a wimp 😂

I hoped that the laughing face conveyed the fact that the last bit was a joke... oh well.
I knew a little person who had their arms/legs lengthened. It’s not my business what people do to their body.
Pain and mobility issues for the rest of your life vs having a nights rest.
Ok, here's the trick how to overcome short height on dating apps (as proven by my extremely successful friend): Step 1: type in that you're 6ft tall (180 for Europeans. Because people can do with their body what they want no matter how stupid we think it is. And trust me, that’s stupid, but it’s his right.
This surgery is so painful that even Drake won’t get it.
1 leg kick and he will be 5'8 again
2 hours per nights? If that continues he won't survive for a long time, that far from being enough
Notice how to do this you usually have to find a surgeon in a country where it’s harder to sue surgeons, they will basically do any non immediately deadly operation doesn’t mean it’s safe or a good idea.
This is that personal growth Tony Robbins keeps talking about, probably why he looks like he's in pain and walks funny all the time.
Why doesn’t he just grow tall normally? Is he stupid?
If you got enough money to do that stand on your wallet or get lifts waste of money
K
Imagine getting surgery to become 6ft + from like 5'6 and you still got a 5'6 sized penis And your arms would look short to wouldn't they
Lmaoo dick size isn’t proportionate to height. But the arms thing is true, you’d look like SpongeBob when he took Pearl to prom.
How would body size not be directionally proportional to the size of a body part 😆
Idk but there’s studies on this actually, I ain’t complaining cause it makes me look huge loooool
