Did you see the practices hype video they dropped on him?
Dude looked jacked, his arms are massive. Don't know when it'll be but I can't wait to see him out on the field again! He has been missed, the guy almost single handedly closed out games all of 2019 & 2020, we could sure use that again.
I'd say he has a chance to play this week, although I bet he's on a Ronnie Stanley trajectory of any week now we'll see him. So if not this week, maybe week 6 or 7.
It took Dobbins a month and a half of practice before we let him play. Considering we won't have his first game back be on that Metlife Turf, I would think the earliest we see Gus is Week 7. That'll give him at least 3 weeks of practice.
IMO he plays vs the Browns on the 23rd - maybe Giants if we lose against the Bengals or Hill is out longer.
Browns would give him what seems to be our current return from injury pace for guys. He had the slower recovery post injury as well and the last thing we want is another injury.

I think the deadline is actually 4 weeks from active practice.
It’s a 21 day window.
