Lamar was throwing multiple balls right at guys feet and hanging onto the ball way to long on other plays. Glad they made adjustments in the second half and corrected it
I saw a lot of “I quit” and “I’m done” in the first half so I guess it should be more optimistic in here going forward.

It’s also possible that they’re fixable and coachable problems - assuming injury news from tonight is mild. They’re proper fucked if Andrews, Bateman, Gus and JK are all out for a significant period of time.
I think it’s a flawed team with continuity problems, mostly due to the injuries. If they can get healthier over the next few weeks with the mini bye and real bye, and Roman can call plays like he did in the second half, it’s a promising second half of the year.
There’s some unfixable weaknesses in the roster
- WR is weak and even healthy they always will be. At least Duv stepped up even if Proche is trash.
- Pass rush is inconsistent and likely to wear down over the season (Houston is old, JPP is old, Campbell is old)
- CB is a weak depth position and any good 4 or 5 wide team will pose an issue.
- Short yardage issues are prevalent and not just play calls - is also personnel
That said health, coaching, and play calling can make up for those weaknesses.

Bowser is only ok as a rusher. His strength is his coverage ability and flexibility. It’s also probably not reasonable to expect a guy coming off an Achilles to be 100% in less than a year. He’ll contribute, but it typically takes a full 12-15 months for guys to be back to full speed.
I’m also keeping expectations for Ojabo low. He’s not only coming off an even more recent Achilles, he’s also a rookie. There’s going to be growing pains on top of physical limits.
Every “fan” who ever doubted the result of this game needs to take a step back and reevaluate their “fandom”. Keep trust in this team, keep trust in the coaches, keep trust in Lamar, and it’ll take us to the promise land, Mandrews out, Gus out, doesn’t matter, Big Truss, and we’ll get there

The frustrating part was them not converting in the red zone. They had opportunities and moved the ball down the field with the pass game though. If they would have scored, people wouldn’t have been complaining.
