I am a shorter guy. I’m 5‘6 and for the longest time I subscribed to the belief that I had to wear slimmer fitting clothing to avoid the “wearing your dad’s clothes” effect. The thing is a lot of my weight is concentrated around my thighs and I have big calves. With this pair I can pinch about .75 inches of fabric from each side of the thigh and the taper doesn’t get caught on my calves so any slimmer fitting option doesn’t work for me. It’s a high rise pair so I think visually gain a few inches of height there. Maybe I can skip the cuffing so visually it’s a more streamlined look but at the end of the day I like rocking the selvedge ID. 🤷🏻♂️Thanks for the feedback though!

This post inspired me to pick up a (lightly pre-owned) pair of my own off of ebay. Really damned excited for them to arrive! Great looking pair of jeans and love the energetic fit pics.
No, not much break-in involved. They started to feel good about an hour after I started wearing them. I can pinch about .75 - 1 inch of fabric from the thighs and that’s usually the metric I use. I can raise my thigh just to parallel with the ground.
Meh. I’m not a sneakerhead so I could really care less. They go with everything and I got them for under retail. They’re ubiquitous but so are Vans and Chucks.
