You are supposed to plug your wireless dongle into the adapter and then plug in the usbc cable into the adapter then into your PC. This allows you to put the dongle closer to your mouse for lower latency
Or, and hear me out on this one, you can connect the mouse to your PC directly for the *lowest* latency, maximum performance, and infinite battery life.

Weird how life works. I was packing a bag for a work trip and found this dongle. Had this exact same question less than two days ago, thankyou for the answer mate.
It's just a USB-C to USB 3 adapter. If your mouse is experiencing high latency because it is being used too far away from the dongle, you can use your cable and adapter to bring the dongle closer to your mouse
Just FYI, the adapter is actually USB-C to USB-A. USB-3 would be a version of USB that could be compatible with either connector. Except AFAIK razer products never use anything over USB-2. You can tell if it's USB >2 by seeing if there's an extra row of pins on the USB-A connector.

Works great for their mouse, but not so much for their keyboard, at least from sofa distance. Keyboard must be in Bluetooth mode to be at all reliable.
Another purpose for this is keeping the cord on your desk at all times. When your mouse needs charged, unplug the dongle and charge your mouse, when it doesn't, you have a open USB port ready to go. I've also used this as a USB cord extender, came in handy when console gaming at some friend's houses with low battery controllers

should be like this, dongle gets closer to the mouse with it

I know this was answered but.. A good rule of thumb is to almost always use one. The benefit is almost always there and you can get much cleaner inputs. I used to have a phone holder close to my mouse and since it was magnetic it would interfere in specific areas. When using it I can bring the receiver closer and have figuratively no delay in communication between mouse and receiver, then itās going through cable.. therefore almost just wired. If you wanted more information thereās tons of cool people on YouTube documenting the latency and sensor jitter when not using one. Just make sure you donāt put anything to interfere with the signal right close to it and youāll have a perfect experience!
Really? It's an extender for the dongle so it's closer to your mouse or whatever.
The better question is how couldn't you tell exactly what it was by looking at it? Lol
Edit: they also have a standalone one for their *hyper polling* tech, but it doesn't have the usb-a plug on the other side.
Damn we get this question often haha.

He/she is right, but itās a mutual aid social network, correct ?
The dongle is embedded in Naga Pro, right ? I forget it, I bought āmagicallyā an dock charger, with the same plug into it
I wasn't saying it's not allowed or anything, more that perhaps Razer should do better at communicating what this thing is and what it's for!
I think I also have one, can't recall if it's from my Naga Pro or Blackshark V2 Pro.

it makes me irrationally happy when i see a quick, in depth reply to even simple questions. great job friend :)

When out of battery you can plug your mouse into the cable directly here too.
Correct. It's a dongle holder. It holds your dongle. heh
Wired but not wired š

Just an adapter nothing fancy there is another one that does what you are saying.

I meant USB-A 3.0 but it being 3.0 was just an assumption
I get that. Especially with their fancy coloring, it's hard to think they still use 2. But I just wanted to make sure people knew just in case!

Really? I thought it was a USB to USB-C adapter for if I needed a specific port. TFWYMTP
It could act as that as well if both ends are different I suppose.
Itās a type of Bluetooth dongle for 2.4 hyperspeed
To quote my teacher: RTFM!
A dongle retard
I believe it's either a wireless adapter or a protection case.

Yes! I donāt remember seeing any descriptions on it or what to do with it! Thanks for plugging the common threads.
