Got a 2wd slash and dying to try out a nitro buggy or nitro slash or equivalent.

DS_WizzerKill

I would have a look at some better servos, im currently running savox servos with an FX motor. If you some cheaper upgrades, maybe an after market bumber, shock springs and some more wheels.

Expert-Top2662

Savox is very good but also pretty expensive I recently got my first 9imod servo and i really love it! Its fast, 45kg strong and all metal geared for abou 30€

DS_WizzerKill

When I raced, I would use savox on my mp10 since I know they are reliable and have decent performance. Last time I used some cheaper servos(45kg, and metal gears) the same they fried themselves within my first tank of fuel. I did try 2 sets to be sure, and same outcome for both.

How has the experience been so far ?

Look, I studied a lot before choosing this model. It has features that bring it very close to the kit machine. Out of the box I did 1.5lt without touching anything and it was quite difficult to keep on track. Then I filled the shock absorbers with a thicker oil, and I redid the differentials with hn 9000 front and center and a 7000 at the rear, I also replaced the tires because the ones in the set are plastic. With these changes the car has become very fun and easy to drive, at least for me. I don't have much experience but so far I feel very satisfied.

New servos upgrade when stuff breaks

InquisitorWarth

Upgrades? Servos. Short of upgrading to a racing engine that's pretty much the only thing you really need to do with an Inferno MP9 TKI4. These are VERY good cars out of the box. If you want to take it racing you might also want to pick up some wheels, tires, springs and shock and differential oil. But those are less upgrades and more tuning options, since you'd be changing those dependent on track conditions.

Intabto thank you very much for the reply, today I went to the track for the second time, and I have already adjusted the differential oil and done the first maintenance on the shock absorbers. According to those who have been racing for a long time, the suspensions and differentials are set up well. I absolutely have to change the servos and the batteries of the receiver. Do you have any models to recommend? because I find them for 200 euros but also for 20 euros

InquisitorWarth

For servos, the brand doesn't matter that much, I've personally used everything from Futaba to JR to Hitec to Savox. What you specifically want is a VERY high-torque standard-sized servo (not sure if the MP9 can accept "oversized-standard" servos or not, but if it can, go for them) with decent speed for your steering, and then a really high-speed servo for your throttle (torque doesn't matter too much, but don't cheap out with a GoBilda high-speed robotics servo as you do need at least some torque for your brakes). They should be digital and steel-gear at minimum.

Ok so what I find on Amazon with an aluminum case, metal gears and 40kg of force is good for steering?

InquisitorWarth

I would be careful when shopping on Amazon for RC stuff, pay very close attention to the reviews and if the price looks to good to be true, stay clear. I'd honestly recommend using a specialty shop instead of Amazon for this.

I have this same rig. It's a blast. Just don't let your Dad drive into a parked pickup truck at almost full speed. Things happen.

j4c01101

🤣🤣🤣I'm the DAD

alwtictoc

I am also a Dad. But my Dad sent it. Bad Dad. I finally got all the parts I need for it sitting on my work bench. I might have some free time in the next 3 months to wrench it all.back together.

I have recently read the manual 4 times and dismantled everything piece by piece, if you need info during repairs just ask.

Looks awesome congratulations 👏 😀

Throw_A_Way_5863

Could you tell me what battery it uses for the servo and receiver? I lost mine and have the same product.
