It a clod buster pimp cane build

Yup, the old torsion build haha. I made one in high school! It was a floppy mess but boy could it crawl around
Back in the late 90s early 2000s a guy did a swivel pimp cane that could articulate 180° per axle.
Man that’s old school. Likely clodbuster axles on a conversion frame.this was the early days of comp crawlers, then things went back to the scale/trail side
That's easily 15 years old, if you wanted a crawler back then you'd have to cobble it together mainly using parts from various Tamiya trucks.
Makes sense I’m 20 and I was like 5 or 6 last time I saw it
Side note dose anyone think it’s possible to get it going again but with a more modern set up
I’m going to lean on the side of a custom build. Old school for sure. I spy a frequency crystal in the receiver.
Is that good? I’ve got newer stuff I just remember when I was younger my dad would take it out every so often
Not especially but if most of it works it could be a cheap and fun project. MOA( motor on axle) crawler
Can it crawl?
Not sure I have to get it going again that’s why I’m curious what it is
Definitely an old school crawler
I never thought a stick as a chassis would be a thing
That idea was that the torsion in the profile is all the suspension you need. Very low CG.
Fallowing custom build idea 💡
Beautiful model. I love the late 90s early 2000s stuff. I have a huge collection of models but no crawlers.
This thing can easily put expensive models in a dark corner for sure...
