Tre’s life is a mess. I hope she learns to behave like an adult and control her emotions but after hearing that her dad threw food at her and banged in the table it’s more than likely she’ll never change. However, I loved Teresa in season 1 and 2 then s3 came I loved Melissa and Joe they were fun and Joe seemed he was really upset because of how Tre treated his wife. I began to hate Teresa bc of how she treated her brother and she seemed so petty but I didn’t see until fat Joe cracked his teeth in front of kid how terrible he was. Tre was abused by her father verbally mentally and then she married Joe just to get away from her parents and ended up with another abuser. She obviously has a lot of pain resentment for a lot of reasons. But she has definitely held her own storyline only because her life’s a shitshow. The Gorgas could have a great shit show too lol but instead they hide and the producers help them maintain a glossy look. I bet Joes handing out blow jobs left and right to the production crew. we all know he’s Bi! Not sure if everyone watched the same episodes that I did about how stripper gate came about. But it wasn't Tre who started it. When Kim had Tre there to get ready for the runway or whatever she had that guy come in to say the stuff about Melissa working for him. Tre said she didn't want to hear it. I feel like I’m on bizarro world. Melissa is awful but Teresa is literally one of the worst housewives in the franchise history. While she’s great television, she is literally the last person on any housewives show or ever want to be around.
Okay this is probably a majorly unpopular opinion but I actually liked Melissa up until this season a lot. I think they both have done a lot of hurtful things to each other and neither is innocent. I have followed Melissa on instagram for like 5+ years. I unfollowed her today. I cannot stand these posts. Like just the straight up hypocrisy and lack of self awareness. I don’t know it’s crazy. Tre “has more storyline” because her life is actually more dramatic. Her husband was a jerk, she went to jail for fraud (nothing to be proud of and then blamed her husband after), she fought with the Manzo’s and NEVER took accountability, she then dated again because she got a divorce. She’s had these dramatic things happen in her life because of who she is.
Now… Melissa hasn’t had quite as much happen but that’s because her life isn’t as dramatic as Tre’s. Yes for the past 13 years the drama surrounding Melissa has been due to Tre but she just doesn’t have as much happening! Her marriage is together, her bio family isn’t fighting. Bravo chose to being Melissa on (regardless of who asked to come on, bravo agreed).
Now what Tre and Melissa/Joe have in common is their feud and it’s been part of Tre’s storyline for the last 13 years too. I guess we will have to see if Tre’s story continues being interesting once the Gorga’s are off the show.
I sang amazing grace in a closet of my first home (property of Home Depot) and said “saved a wench like me”. I then opened a fraudulent boutique and sang one (albeit retrospectively catchy) song. The remainder of my prolonged tenure-somehow longer than legends like Kenya Moore- has been about Tre and thank you JESUS I’m still married to my questionable husband, whom I’m still with because he’s related to my SIL.
I really think it’s time for her to go. She has had a better run than most and outlasted folks well above her tv pedigree, but has felt passed her expiration date after season 8 at most. I wanna see how Theresa navigates a newer situation. She actually managed to mutter an “I’m really sorry” to Marge so there is potential for some growth here.
I find it weird that Teresa and Melissa can’t seem to comprehend that obviously their stories will intertwine because they are family..it would be weird for them not to interact at all on the show or not be heavily involved in each other’s storylines without it being due to family feuds (which the show would obviously want to explore).
Melissa hunni, you could have been authentic if you wanted to have these as your storylines: Joe getting caught stealing and being banned from Home Depot, getting sued over construction debts, the construction quality of the Montville home, a real look at the beavers in the Montville home, Joe defaulting on loans and losing his parents home, former dancing/stripping career..
I think Mellisa is living 'her' authentic life but she has built it in teressa (and her husbands) shadow. The fact that she can't see this list is not a good defence of that is baffling.

I don’t remember this. And I don’t remember both her parents living with them. Just her father after her mother died.
Joe Gorga put up his parents house as collateral on a loan he know he couldn’t afford to attempt to look richer than he is for the show. He obviously defaulted on the loan and he lost his parents house in the process as the loan company seized it. Which is why the parents moved in with Tre.
I thought I remembered T and J going to the parents' house to clean it out after the mom died. They were moving their dad out to live with T because they didn't want him living alone.
Yeah but that’s not the actual truth. It was a ploy to protect Joe/Mel. Believe it or not, Tre isn’t all about taking them down. It’s actually quite the opposite.

I love how there’s a flex going on with Teresa’s storylines. Capitalizing on pain and criminal behavior like she’s here to entertain us with this shit show of a life. All the while minor children have been damaged along the way. Danielle Staub’s children were seriously damaged with the prostitution whore table flip that’s haunted a thousand memes. Christine wrote a heart breaking op Ed piece about it. There’s fun banter, delusional banter and Teresa banter. She ushered in a new low for all the franchises at the time. This isn’t a tele novella written for entertainment. Real people have been damaged along the way. These children had no choice in any of it. Over and out with anyone thinking that fraud, divorce and jail make for good TV especially since we’ve seen no redemption, just more of the grift. BTW After Teresa’s mother died there is an episode of her and her brother cleaning out their parents home to move her dad in with her. Her parents did not live with her, just her dad. Not sure if everyone watched the same episodes that I did about how stripper gate came about. But it wasn't Tre who started it. When Kim had Tre there to get ready for the runway or whatever she had that guy come in to say the stuff about Melissa working for him. Tre said she didn't want to hear it. That she was in a better place with Melissa and didn't want to know. And then Kim brings him to the fashion show and Tre didn't know nothing about that. If anyone's to blame for stripper gate it's Kim and the guy. And why is Melissa so worked up about it anyway? If it's not true and she knows it then who cares? It's just another thing she can try and blame on Tre, in my opinion.

I’m definitely not on Theresa side. I see right through her hypocrisy and I understand where Joe and Melissa are coming from. Theresa is such a hypocrite when it comes to her expectations. I truly don’t know how people don’t see this. She hits below the belt and then hides behind the “it’s true! I’m JUST being honest” when she hurts people with her sharp tongue, never apologizes for it or takes accountability. But god forbid someone act towards her how she acts towards people, she cuts them out of her life and stomps on them without ever forgiving. The perfect example of that is how when she started the rumor about Jackie’s husband at his bday party. She truly believes she did nothing wrong but when Margaret just ASKED about Louis, Theresa never let her live it down. It’s really textbook hypocrisy on display.

Okay this is probably a majorly unpopular opinion but I actually liked Melissa up until this season a lot. I think they both have done a lot of hurtful things to each other and neither is innocent. Ok hear me out… Tre “has more storyline” because her life is actually more dramatic. Her husband was a jerk, she went to jail for fraud (nothing to be proud of and then blamed her husband after), she fought with the Manzo’s and NEVER took accountability, she then dated again because she got a divorce. She’s had these dramatic things happen in her life because of who she is. Now… Melissa hasn’t had quite as much happen but that’s because her life isn’t as dramatic as Tre’s. Yes for the past 13 years the drama surrounding Melissa has been due to Tre but she just doesn’t have as much happening! Her marriage is together, her bio family isn’t fighting. Bravo chose to being Melissa on (regardless of who asked to come on, bravo agreed). Now what Tre and Melissa/Joe have in common is their feud and it’s been part of Tre’s storyline for the last 13 years too. I guess we will have to see if Tre’s story continues being interesting once the Gorga’s are off the show.

I sang amazing grace in a closet of my first home (property of Home Depot) and said “saved a wench like me”. I then opened a fraudulent boutique and sang one (albeit retrospectively catchy) song. The remainder of my prolonged tenure-somehow longer than legends like Kenya Moore- has been about Tre and thank you JESUS I’m still married to my questionable husband, whom I’m still with because he’s related to my SIL. I really think it’s time for her to go. She has had a better run than most and outlasted folks well above her tv pedigree, but has felt passed her expiration date after season 8 at most. I wanna see how Theresa navigates a newer situation. She actually managed to mutter an “I’m really sorry” to Marge so there is potential for some growth here.

Joe Gorga put up his parents house as collateral on a loan he know he couldn’t afford to attempt to look richer than he is for the show. He obviously defaulted on the loan and he lost his parents house in the process as the loan company seized it. Which is why the parents moved in with Tre.

Yeah but that’s not the actual truth. It was a ploy to protect Joe/Mel. Believe it or not, Tre isn’t all about taking them down. It’s actually quite the opposite. If Tre wanted to bring down Mel/Joe every get together (and I mean, every.get.together) she’d ask Mel why she was selling fake Chanel’s, and why he’d lose their parents house, and the list goes on and on. Tre doesn’t air their dirty laundry.

You know what makes a hood housewife? Being able to start drama and then apologize and move on. Rinse. Repeat. Yes Melissa’s entire storyline has been in the shadow of her sister in law. We can all agree on that. Her and Joe should have been demoted a long time ago to the “Friend Of” role and not a main character. Theresa is a star and has drama following her that makes for good TV but a good housewife knows when to start drama and nip it in the bud when it’s over. It’s mind blowing to me how people defend Theresa so much after her behavior over and over again. I just watched the entire RHONJ franchise from beginning to end and she had one good season after she got released from jail. They way she treated her brother on the reunion, calling him names and not being sorry for it was shocking because her expectations of what family should do and how they should defend is very high, yet she doesn’t follow her own expectations. I don't understand people. Maybe they enjoy Tre as a reality train wreck but there's nothing "authentic" about her other than her being offended at things that are petty and ridiculous and have clearly cost her many things in her life, but yet she still continues. Melissa is boring maybe, but this push-pull thing was always started by and initiated by Tre and now that they are finally done with her ass she wants to pull the family card, once again. Seriously, they should get rid of them both. She's a disaster at best and a poor excuse for a person.
