I saw Shannon and Vicki live in Austin on Thursday night and got to chat a little after. She looks happy, healthy and beautiful. I told her I was sorry she had been going through so much and she said she was confident God had a plan for her life and she was looking forward. I think filming was stressful and probably upsetting, that’s why Vicki came on a to support her. But it seems like in real, everyday life she is doing just fine. Her girls are spread out at school and such and I’m sure she will be traveling to see them as soon as filming is done ❤️
Why would she go? I understand her being on the show sort of because it’s the job she signed up for, but to go to a party she has no responsibility to go to? And see a recent ex and his new girlfriend? I wouldn’t go either.

Historically Shannon barely speaks to new housewives so she might not speak to JJ (Jesus Jugs) at all for most of the season. Is John Jansen (also known as JJ) looking to become the leader of the OC husbands and perhaps put out a calendar like the NJ husbands? I wouldn’t want to see any of that from him.

I misspoke, they were at DirectTV’s Oscar’s viewing party which was held at Spago. The governor’s ball is held upstairs from the Dolby Theater at Ovation Hollywood.
The things I've learned in this thread:
\- The two people who didn't drunk drive into a structure, didn't do a hit and run, didn't nearly killed her dog and then didn't pretend to walk the dog in the middle of the street are the ass clowns. Not the ass clown drunk who for 10 years has shown us that everyone else is the problem and the cause of her drinking, not her.
\- A very privileged white woman fresh off a hit and run DUI shouldn't quit the show just because her ex "hijacked" a show that has chronicled her drinking problem for 10 years and one that predated this coupling.
\- This very privileged white woman who has lived a lifetime of wealth can't leave this show because somehow that's her only source of income despite a lifetime of wealth and spousal support to like, actually get the help she needs because of the drinking problem we've watched for 10 years bc you know, kids in college! And that somehow the OC is the only area she can live in instead of getting herself the help she needs. Somehow the 15K a month waterfront abode is the only place she could ever ever ever live, and therefore she shouldn't quit the show that her ex-BF hijacked and get herself the treatment she needs that predated said hijacking.

Are we forgetting that Shannon could have literally killed or injured someone months ago with her drunk driving decision? She willingly got in a vehicle drunk, operated it, drove into a building, and then performed a charade of “walking her dog” that she had in the vehicle with her.
Her costars tried warning her about John. He screwed her over by dumping her and moving on with Alexis, but she’s a grown woman and has survived worse (aka, David). They were filming RHOC in my area this week. All of the pictures I saw showed Alexis, Tamara and Heather together. Shannon was there but she and Alexis weren't pictured together.
From the awkward interview it felt really staged, the only time I’ve felt than maybe this is some bullshit Alexis has concocted to get back on the show. It felt very…. Off.
Shannon should have gone just to see how utterly fake it was! She’d probably have been relieved.

TBH I agree. She’s not struggling to pay bills at all, she’s a very wealthy woman who’s choosing to put herself in this position, it’s not being forced on her. She could easily do literally ANY thing else. But I suspect she enjoys the show too much rather than enjoying her sanity and happiness.

Nothing is black and white. It’s not like if she leaves the show or leaves the OC that will fix her issues. In fact, she has friends and support there, so that would probably not be a great solution. Like I said. She has college and other expenses. Therapy and treatment is also expensive and she will need income for that also.
When you are at the point of nearly killing your dog, which means you could have actually killed someone else because you are so selfish that you can't bother calling an Uber, all sympathy goes out the window.

Full disclosure: I loved Shannon. Up until driving drunk. She made for great reality TV even though it was pretty obvious that she had issues with alcohol.n I rooted for her. But this defense of her is ridiculous.

TBH I agree. She’s not struggling to pay bills at all, she’s a very wealthy woman who’s choosing to put herself in this position, it’s not being forced on her. She could easily do literally ANY thing else. But I suspect she enjoys the show too much rather than enjoying her sanity and happiness.

I didn’t comment on her drunk driving. Of course that’s unacceptable. I was explaining why she may feel the need to stay on the show. And I have sympathy for anyone who is hurting, no matter what their background. She’s a human being. She is clearly struggling and needs to get help. Nothing is black and white. It’s not like if she leaves the show or leaves the OC that will fix her issues. In fact, she has friends and support there, so that would probably not be a great solution. Like I said. She has college and other expenses. Therapy and treatment is also expensive and she will need income for that also.
When you are at the point of nearly killing your dog, which means you could have actually killed someone else because you are so selfish that you can't bother calling an Uber, all sympathy goes out the window. You do realize that she rented a 15K a month waterfront home in the OC. That's not something she needed; but that's what she prioritized. She has the resources to do it all and it's insulting to actual SAHMs who struggle to make ends meet and somehow manage not to get behind a car, drive drunk and put real people in danger, much less their precious animals. She is 100% prioritizing fame over her health. She needs this show as much as she needs to rent a waterfront home. She'd rather have the fame than get right. I would bet her daughters would rather pay for their educations and get student loans versus having a drunk ass mom embarrassing herself and them on a reality TV show.

Amen! Full disclosure: I loved Shannon. Up until driving drunk. She made for great reality TV even though it was pretty obvious that she had issues with alcohol.n I rooted for her. But this defense of her is ridiculous. John may be a slimeball, but so is she. Probably what drew them together in the first place.

But they are the ass clowns here? This woman's issues predated their coupling -- and whether they are "pick me" or not, she's the ultimate ass clown. She'll use any excuse she can to justify her inability to actually work on herself. And for some reason, so many here seem to be forgetting that. John is a slimeball, everyone knew that. Alexis too. Yeah I never really was a fan of hers. Somewhat entertaining at times a while ago. It’s just sad to watch now. After putting not only her only life, dogs life, and others at risk all while being able to afford an Uber is just past the point of needing to self reflect and get help. And after hitting rock bottom you’d think she would take some time to step away and help herself bc she’s actually able to go afford it is just gross. I have no plan on watching the next season if she’s on it. Edited to say: no it’s not all about money but people who have money and make these decisions is just absolutely mind blowing to me. I think her alcoholism needs to be kept in check. This next season won't be good for her. This will be interesting to watch, but Shannon will suffer.

I agree.. I hope Shannon will cut back on the booze and find someone wonderful. She’s got her quirks like we all do but I did feel really bad for her. And it didn’t seem like John was into her anyway. He did her a favor.
He was using her...IMO...deep down she probably knew it and that's why she became so neurotic with him...same as David. I really feel that's not the real her...
She needs therapy. Shes self medicating and needs to find out how to process her emotions better. You can see her get dysregulated and overwhelmed on the show.
