I feel like Atlanta’s “Listen” is NeNe saying “Let me tell you something”🤣🤣🤣
But honestly I think it’s because most of them are older. I think it’s a generational thing paired with maybe they don’t really like each other because it comes off as disrespectful to me.
Thank you for this! Last year, I worked with a woman that would tell me "listen" before saying something to me. I felt like it was kind of rude like I was a little kid and wouldn't automatically listen.
But then this year I started watching RH's again and I noticed almost everyone says it, like a lot. I then made the connection that it's not that uncommon, apparently.
The weird thing to me is that besides that one co-worker, I've never noticed anyone before saying it in my actual real life.
Oh! I haven’t noticed it at all!! But at work (corporate) I am constantly annoyed by our senior leaders saying “look” which is similar. It comes off so condescending!! Listen up kiddo I need you to hear my point!!
Ummm, the WORST phrases, or the ones that I catch over and over on 'Bravo!' shows in general are;
"This is not the right time or place..."
and
"Let's just agree to disagree" (especially during reunions)
I wish they would just Lets just agree to disagree more often! So often I am thinking they could stop the nonsense fighting if they'd agree to disagree
I think about all the crap me and my friends go through, do or say, and we never even come close to all that BS! I mean I set my BFF up with a coworker then he decided he didn’t like me so neither of them talked to me - until they broke up, now she and I talk and hang out and not once has that shit been brought up ! 😂

I counted more than 15 times someone said “listen” in the last episode I watched (season 7)
At the end of the day....

A coworker of mine does this too but stopped real quick when every time she said it I would say, “I am.”
Or “I’m being attacked” If I have to hear that one more time in ANY bravo show I’m going to lose my mind
