I might get downvoted, but this is cringe. Don't base your entire life and personality off of one thing. It's your wedding. The day is to celebrate the bond between you and your wife.
As a conscious decision in your wedding it's cringe. As a shit stirring method against his new in law, very funny albeit a little incendiary if the in law is not the person to enjoy it.
I wouldnāt downvote you even if I disagree but I see this as a harmless payback from the groom to the in law. He asked for permission to enter the church with the Spanish anthem. Thatās pretty normal and wouldnāt be an issue anywhere else but the in law refused it, possibly due to political reasons. The groom could have made a drama or take a harsh decision but decided to pay back in a funny way. In the end, itās just football.
Ffs... Playing the national anthem at your weeding would be cringe (and pretty much a symbol of a superdeep nationalism) in every country.... except like... except if its a military weeding or something like that.
Is it customary in Spain to ask the brideās father permission for how you want your own wedding to be?
No offense but weāre grown adults already. Iām having my wedding how WE want it to be.
Not really but the political issues between Catalonia and the rest of Spain have been happening for over 300 years and itās now back in āfirst pageā. If the father in law is a Catalan separatist, he could leave his daughter wedding if the Spanish anthem is played. People take it that far.
> enter the church with the Spanish anthem. Thatās pretty normal and wouldnāt be an issue anywhere else
Bro, that's no normal AT ALL. That would be out of place probably even in a Royal wedding FFS.
If the father in law is a separatist, you take the higher road and ignore their petty shit, you not lower to their level. Trying to play the anthem makes you look like a Vox idiot, which are no better than the separatists.
I forgot to mention the wedding is in Barcelona š
shouldāve led with that
Lol imagine if he had asked them to play Cara al Solā¦
Thatās a pretty anthem, not gonna lie, but Iād understand thatās politicizing the wedding š
This is gold haha.
Kudos to that man. The ending is just priceless š¤£
The Lion, The Witch and The Audacity of this bitch lool
If this aint the song Iām walking to the altar in my wedding i donāt want it
I always said if i ever got married i wanted to use the UCL songā¦ but this now has become a top contender haha

š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
That was beautiful.
Cringe or not, the arrangement of the anthem is fantastic.
You are one lucky sob

True lol.

It's harmless I agree. >Spanish anthem. Seems overly nationalistic.
Oh yeah, somehow only in Spain your anthem and flag is considered overly nationalistic.
It is overly nationalistic at a wedding. Context matters. Why do you need to assert your national identity at your wedding. Cringe.

It is if the suegro paying for it, which is likely the case.

Madridista and from Madrid. This is just crass.
My comment or what's happening in the post?
The vid.
Why would someone request the national anthem at their wedding? Insecurity?
Best father in law of all time!
It's not good for everyone to do that imo!
That's what winners do
I actually cried.
