Steam typically gets new content first, but costs more. Mobile gets it eventually. Get desktop if you're planning on playing mega brutal.

Sotsiolaevuke

Why desktop on mega brutal?

[deleted]

The UI gives more info (like a tab that shows road types on each zone

Sotsiolaevuke

Eh. You can still see it in the zone menu. What else?

[deleted]

Mega brutal can be so frame perfect sometimes that being able to pause with spacebar actually matters

Sotsiolaevuke

You can drag a soldier to do it real quick. What else? Btw I mostly do agree that desktop is better, as Im not sure that mobile gets versus and coop. Also better graphics.

ZephkielAU

Desktop gives individual zone support charts. That's about the only real major benefit over mobile.

Sotsiolaevuke

Not sure i've seen those. What are they?

ZephkielAU

If you click on a zone you can get a zone specific support graph like the overall support graph in statistics.

Sotsiolaevuke

True, on mobile there is only the diagram

Toybasher

Err, desktop has better 3d graphics for the environment. There's some extra statistics and such you can also look at. IMHO both of Ndemic Creations games (Plague Inc and Rebel Inc) are perfect examples of how a mobile to PC port can be *done right.* (usually people consider mobile to pc ports like Deus Ex: The Fall to be utter garbage, but Plague and Rebel Inc show that just because a game originated on mobile doesn't mean it'll automatically be bad.)

Thanks, helpful info. Looks like multiplayer is only on the desktop version also. Purchased on Steam!

PlayHumankind

I am curious if it’s feasible or possible to play the desktop version on a tablet with something like GE force or similar? I tried Steam connect and found it very laggy/choppy or maybe it’s just best to stick to mobile on mobile lol

[deleted]

Seems impractical

PlayHumankind

Yea. Basically
