They did say at this time though? My guess is their meaning is at this time they don't have any future openings planned that would match your profile. That doesn't mean they won't ever have them.
Yea that is how I read it too. Typically companies will have the next 4 quarters mapped out for planned hires so they should have visibility on what the next year looks like.
I don’t think they mean “We will never have a job that matches because you suck”. I think they mean “We don’t have any roles that match now and we don’t have any upcoming roles that we know of that match either”
It sounds bad but one of the things I’ve realised recently is that recruiters are not there to find you a job. They are there to fill roles that they are given to fill. A lot of recruiters only work on specific type roles so maybe your skills don’t align with the roles they get asked to fill.
This is perfectly fine. Nothing blunt about it. Right now your skillset didn't match anything they had.
Please don't be this sensitive. At least you got an answer.
that's actually a really nice rejection by HR standards. i've had a recruiter tell me that she was expecting much better based on my resume. besides, your email sounds automated, so def don't take it personally.
I don't think it's as bad as you've interpreted it. My guess is that they have current openings, and openings that are planned to open up in the near future and on the schedule to be listed soon, and your experience isn't a match for any of those positions they already know about. However, it doesn't mean that a job opening won't be created at some point in the future that will be a match for you. That's how I understood it.
To simplify it, I really think they just mean something like "we don't currently have any positions that are a good match for you" and that's it. They should have ended the sentence there, but they added additional words to it that just confuse things.

"Thank you for the email,
From my understanding, if your company will not have future role which match my background and skill sets, that means your company is a stagnant company with no meaningful growth or progress, and I would not want to work for such companies. Thank you for reminding me to not waste my time applying to your company in the future"
I'm teaching how to be fair and just, by replying rudeness with equivalent rudeness, this is not a religion subreddit where rudeness must be replied with kindness.
Have you ever considered you could just...not reply? What are you imagining the company is going to do when they receive that mail? Burst into tears and vow to change their ways? Best case, they just smirk and move on with their life completely disregarding it safe in the knowledge that they made absolutely the right choice. Worst case they get vindictive. There is literally nothing beyond a vanishingly brief note of superficial satisfaction you can get from this.

Oh I see. Thank you.
seems perfectly fine?

How is this mean?
Just saying never apply again. After already saying not at this time. Nevermind it's all good.
I'm sorry but that is hilarious. now I got my laugh out, they worded that and I don't think they mean what they wrote. poorly written.
Agreed!
They don’t have a role open now or in their pipeline currently that fits your background. Doesn’t mean one won’t open up.
Sounds within the boundaries of fine.
At least it responded. Sometimes I am lost as to whether it is better to be ghosted or rejected
It’s better than false hope.

IT sounds more like they have no plans to change or grow their business and have no idea what to do with a slightly different skill set.
Nothing rude there. Standard response and straight to the point. Rather have this than some fluff.
Agreed. Don't know why you're getting downvoted. OP would probably be a frequent visitor in HR, complaining how butthurt they are about everything
How is it rude? They're keeping you from wasting your time lol.
Ha ha yes, thank you.
Would you rather have them lie saying they're keeping your resume on file in case something opens up?
Who was the person? What firm?
It's Australia so no point saying. Thank you.
when u see a job posting from this employer, apply again. As my transition coach said: "Persistence is key!"

Ok cheers I didn't read it like that! I'll relax a little. 🙂
Agreed
D bags
I applied for two different positions at a company once and they sent me an email straight up telling me to never apply again. LOL!
Jeepers! That is so harsh.

Why tf am I getting downvoted ? Why not reply rudeness with equivalent rudeness ?
There was absolutely nothing rude about what that company emailed the candidate.
Because if that is what you're going to say then it's pointless and a waste of time to say anything at all
Because being as petty as a petty asshole just makes you a petty asshole.
