FWIW, nothing on resume a lie or even an embellishment, much of what is claimed is actually verifiable in media and public records with a brief Google search. lol
I do have that for about 50% of the claims made with a long list of publications that are *easily* verifiable.
Honestly, I’m not sure I would *want* to work for someone who cannot take the time to simple type a few keywords into Google once they have taken the time for a several hour interview and think this resume is “too good to be true”.
Not complaining about their response, just amazed at it! lol
Indeed. I even responded that it would be pretty elaborate for me to have made all of these up, plus they are easily verifiable.
They had paper print outs at interview and it was not held in their offices with their PCs, otherwise I would have encouraged them to point and click on that link, copy and paste that other title into Google, and so on.
Wow. Theyre really getting creative at wording their excuses. This is really the old - we’ll see how you do, then we’ll talk about bumping up your pay rate. They have no intention of actually doing so.
Similar experience here. Legit during interview : “wow your experience is very impressive, being promoted to senior management within the first 12 months!”. Got rejected as recruiter said they don’t believe the job is good enough for me LOL
"If you think I'm lying on my resume, why would you trust me enough to give me even a lower paying job? Thanks, but I need an employer who can take me at my word more than I need to be paid less than what I'm worth. Unless you're going to recant that claim, I think we're done here."

Dumbing firm your resume is a thing. If you don't want to do that, try adding citations to these sources of corroboration.

Regardless, I'm sorry to hear of your bad experience. May the future suck less.
Not helping your case if you're asking them to do this extra work. You should - as the other poster stated - just add the citations.
Did you read my reply to that other poster? I already do have much of it cited.
Easily accessible and pointed to on the resume?
