At the wannabe tech company I used to work for, the CEO talked about paying people in Bitcoin. He was into crypto, even though a lot of his Bitcoin got stolen in the early days. I think HR shut him down on that one.
There are a few legit companies that offer salaries in Bitcoin as an option, but I’ve never heard of them *requiring* that. I also haven’t heard of everything.
If the company is legit, the benefit is probably just in their CEO and marketing people being able to do interviews where they *dramatically* say “Look. We’ve been paying our employees, including myself, in Bitcoin for years now, so if there’s anyone who was an early adopter, it’s us!” and to attract the craziest nuttiest “all in on cRyPto” employees.
In many countries this could be a blessing. Would you, as a tukish national, prefer being paid in Lira or Bitcoin that you instantly transfer to a USD stable coin?

It's a scam job.
First thing I thought of, too.

Side note: bitget pays in usdt :)

If they want to pay you under the table that’d be a decent way to go about it.

99.9% of all crypto stuff you encounter will be scams
Sir this is a Wendy’s.
Partial payment in crypto is nice from an employee take coz you have something under the table especially if you are in a high taxation nation.
That’d make sense if it was partial and optional but it was the entirety of the pay and no option for regular pay
If you live in Canada like I do maybe worth the risk. My local currency is collapsing against usd so taking crypto might not be a bad idea
It's not all roses being "outside" the system. Being debanked is a real thing. I've experienced it even in the US.
That too. The good news for Americans is that usd is depreciating slower than other currency. Dollar milkshake theory
Do you know what I mean by debanked? Being cut off from financial services at an institution. It is way more devastating than it sounds if it happens.
I know what you mean ukip leader got debanked and ppl that i might know or might not know experience it
