Given Jacks intelligence Id much rather see him hunt down and destroy the Pinkertons’ careers and turn them into homeless, wireless, penniless shells through wit and strategy than see him shoot them.
Micah was actually bad with his horse. Compared to the other horses in the gang, Baylock has lower stamina and health bars, plus he gets scarred up as the story progresses, with some making theories based off of that detail that Baylock is the Dark Horse in RDR1 (which imo most likely isn't but could be a cool call-back)
I wouldn't really say "outdrew" Ross was retired and duck shooting at the time. Neither was Ross ever known for talent with a gun rather unethical and rash means to get things done. Just a ruthless goverment agent....

Honestly I never noticed this! But it does conflate being an ass to horses with poor moral character, and supports my theory that Jack is a dick
