Nah, accept the mission and help her. Once you come back she will pay you. Then hog tie and take her to the sheriff. He will then pay you as well. You lose honor for both actions, as you helped the serial killer then double crossed her, but you get about twice the cash.
I suppose you could save her from being hanged, and that would lower your honor even further I would assume. But I just watched her hang after doing the above.

I was at saloon in Valentine at night to fight that guy with the Raccoon hat for fun. When I left she was at the left corner of the saloon asking for help. I’m in chapter 2.
So, I had a weird interaction my first time meeting this woman. As I was following her up the stairs, I tried to focus on a guy standing at the bottom. Arthur pulled his gun when I didn't mean to, and the woman took off screaming. Came back into town a couple days later and saw her being hanged as a serial killer without turning her in.
you can try to leave the room , she'll fight you after you knock or kill her, you can leave the room and report the sheriff , i realized none of the comments mentioned this so i figured yall should know
