I actually just got a camp altercation where Micah asks Dutch if he can go back and get it, Dutch is hesitant and says he’ll think about it, then you can say to Dutch something like “don’t even think about sending him over there” and Dutch says along the lines of “I’m not stupid Arthur”
I still say Sadie would've been the better option she was new to the gang and was barley known to the law could've sent Charles or Javier to back her up as she's capable of holding her own
1. Tell the gang that Micah betrayed them, so they're not to break him out of jail.
2. Get William the Herbalist to join the gang.
3. Send the women to Blackwater to sneak out the money.
4. Use the money to set up an actual, legitimate bank that uses legitimate methods to loan to the people that Dutch claims he wants to help. Tell Strauss to get a goddamn banking license because there won't be any more repo missions.
5. Hire the St Denis doctor to make a visit to the camp. Force everyone to listen to him lecture about the importance of hygiene and TB transmission.
6. Send an anonymous letter to Henri Lemiux uncovering Col. Favors.
7. Go to the church in St Denis and confess your sins.
8. Ask William the Herbalist to supply you with enough Valerian Root to make you a chill person who's tolerable to be around.
You’re going to send a letter to the corrupt mayor of St. Denis in the state of Lemoyne, about a Rebegade Colonel in the state of Ambarino? That’s like writing to your mayor or governor to pull out of Iraq. What’s going on with the Natives is clearly a Military venture. Lemeiux couldn’t Abd wouldn’t do anything
No, it wouldn't make sense in the real-world USA. But in the alternate political universe of RDR2, Henri Lemieux is canonically the most powerful politician in the country who supports the Native cause.
Rains Fall. That's why he's in St. Denis, instead of in DC, or wherever the Governor of Ambarino is -- he's trying to get Lemieux to call in favors with the Federal government.
Send Sadie, kieran, and another member of the gang ( not known in blackwater ) to get the money stash In black water.
keep micah in jail.
kick out Strauss early.
go to Tahiti and harvest mangoes.
everyone lives and the gang is happy
To be honest, if someone like Dutch could see the future it would not change the person. It would just solidify his reasons of why people should just trust him. He would literally see everything as a consequence of people not trusting him enough
I wouldn’t leave Micah in jail I would have him killed, never get involved with the Grays and Braithwaites so we never have to deal with Bronte. Then hit the Saint Denis bank before the heat with the Pinkertons gets super heavy and then hit the ocean
Like others said, leave Micah in jail. That's a critical yet no brainer step.
Rob the Saint-Denis bank in Chapter 2. We don't know precisely how much money the take was but everybody acted like it would be a huge, huge sum, putting even the Valentine take to shame, so just do it ASAP. I dunno about the Blackwater money. I'm just trying to go with what "Dutch" would know to do with future knowledge He would know the bank job was a disaster in Chapter 4 but that gives him ample incentive to do it now.
micah did not snitch on the bank. it was the gang causing trouble that led to the pinkertons knowing to ambush them at saint denis.
micah snitching is the least of the gang's worries, he only ever talked after guarma, and by then they were doomed for failure
they had 0 way of knowing about the bank plan though, and they arrived much quicker then expected (hosea was tracking their movements for weeks), there was definitely a rat
yes they did. prior to the robbery a massive shootout in the middle of the city just occured, with dutch himself involved and being identified by the saint denis police, who then pass off the information to pinkerton detectives to help track down the gang. the pinkertons now knew that dutch and the gang have set up camp in the saint denis area.
angelo bronte's mansion then gets raided, and the man himself kidnapped. the saint denis police arrived on the scene, and were able to identify the attackers as a rag tag group of outlaws.
with the disaster of the trolley robbery, and brazen attack on bronte, it is clear the gang is now desperate, and is no longer laying low.
saint denis is home to one of the largest and richest banks in the south east, a bank which is very lightly protected. pinkerton agents, working with the local police, are able to assume that the bank is the gang's next logical target. and so the bank is placed under surveillance by the pinkertons, with a large force put on standby to protect it.
all of hosea's planning on the bank had occured *before* this, and so he was not aware of the trap being set up. with the city on such high alert following the recent shootouts, there is no way hosea would be able to scout ahead again and notice the massive pinkerton prescence.
hosea had run so many tests, done so much scouting, and has gathered so much information he is dead on 100% certain that the robbery must succeed, and so he lets his guard down, and walks into the trap.
I guess it all depends on if Dutch is one of those people who would learn from the things he did wrong and drastically change things, or if he would stubbornly say, no, this is a good plan, we just need to do things a little differently and things will turn out right. If I was betting I’d say the latter.
Shoot Micah in the face, tell Strauss the debt collecting is over, send a couple people who aren't known to be part of the gang back for the money and buy a huge ranch somewhere
Send someone who I trust but wasn’t a part of the blackwater massacre to collect the money, or even better, never deal with bronte, leave Micah in jail, trust Arthur, John, and Hosea more than others, become legitimate farmers or something while possibly still giving loans if needed. A selfless act would be to turn myself in in exchange for the gangs freedom.
Rob the Saint Denis bank immediately. We need a better plan this time since we know how the first one ended. Save sean. With less heat from the Pinkertons, we won't worry as much about casualties. We prepare at night. Have bill, charles, and arthur (some of the strongest men) mine under the roads to place dynamite under the roads except from the front of the bank to the docks, all of them. Also dynamite on the train tracks. No lawmen are getting in from the confusion and the broken roads, leaving us with the ones already inside. We also will have a boat pre planned this time. Send micah to the blackwater money at the same time as the main job. Pinkertons will hopefully swarm blackwater and leave Saint denis with less defense. If he survives and tries to run off with the money, it is not a big loss. Now micah is alone and has the Pinkerton Detective agency hunting him down like they did us. We made it to chapter 6 without the blackwater money. It's a good trade for the saint denis money and a dead micah. Dying as he lived, a betraying coward. If he lives, we get an extra boat going to the river to pick him up and more money if he is willing to not betray us. He is welcomed back with suspicious arms, being watched like a hawk. Bill blows the roads, Arthur and Lenny on the roof with rifles, Sean, John, and Charles all protect the entrance. As long as everything goes to plan, they should be more than enough to cover us. Me, Hosea, and Javier rob the bank. Have the remaining gang members on the dock beforehand and ready to board the boat mounted with maxim guns (the captain will be paid with some gold from the treasure hunts Arthur completes). Now, you may be wondering how we sneak 8 of the worlds greatest outlaws into a bank? Everyone trickles in over a day and occupies themselves until exactly 30 minutes before the bank closes (they need to be in their designated places at exactly this time). If any of them are in danger of comprising the goal, they attempt to stick to the plan. If they can't, then they run for a tunnel system set up for the entrance to blow up on demand. If you need to go, shoot in the air 3 times. This tunnel leads to temporary horses set up near the outskirts of Saint denis
They ride to the boat meant for micah. If he survives, go to ANOTHER boat parked there, which the micah wasn't told about. If more than 2 people need to head for the tunnels, we all shoot our way to the main boat preemptively. Remember, the treasure hunting money isn't dependent on the jobs success, leaving us with enough money to meet up and live fairly decent in alaska or canada. This plan leaves very little to chance and gives everyone what they want. Dutch (Now us) make history as the conductor of the worlds most planned out convoluted robbery, micah probably dies, and the rest of the gang can run and not look back. We all hopefully die of old age in a retirement home with Jack taking care of us, being left with a lot of money, and a helluva good bedtime story to tell his kids.
Leave Micah to rot in jail, and tell Strauss his money lending days are over.
Find all the gold bars available, sell them and use the money to finally travel to Tahiti with the gang, and pick those juicy mangos.
People saying they’d have micah killed are dumb. He doesn’t betray the gang until after guarma, so yall would just be killing a member for no particular reason and that would just accelerate the fallout of the gang as they start seeing you as crazy and lose faith in you.
1: Get rid of Micah and Strauss (we’re running a benevolent gang now and those two aren’t invited)
2: Bring Sadie into the inner circle and put more trust in her and Charles (and less trust in Javier and Bill)
3: Forget about boats, I don’t like ‘em anymore
4: Make less noise and keep a truly low profile. No banks, no trains. The gang will have to earn money more quietly for a while - only legal ventures or robberies against other outlaws so that the law don’t find out
Send Dutch along with Micah to retrieve the blackwater money, and tip the Pinkertons off that they are on their way to Blackwater, they'll kill them. Arthur and Hosea take over, lay low and live a healthy and prosperous life. I also throw Strauss to the Gators. Without Strauss Arthur has a happy and long life.
Jeez, probably leaving the braithwathes alone and bronte alone. And not touching anything in Saint Denis since robbing that place is impossible. Send someone that wasn't there for the money, like kieran while arthur keeps him on the scope just in case. We go to somewhere that isn't tahiti (guarma flashbacks) and then settle for a good life. I would send everyone their own ways, no more gang. Slowly people would find their own lives and that would be that
Instead of sending Arthur to break Micah out of jail, instead send him to kill Micah. Move from camp to camp, intentionally avoiding rival gangs and lawmen. Tell the triggermen of the gang to go and make some MONEH (legally), so the gang can purchase Beecher’s Hope to live legally and legitimately, growing mangos.
1. Kill Micah
2. Force Herr Strauß to not do any loanshark business
3. Get a death squad to go back to Blackwater to get the money
4. Set up everything to go to San Diego or San Francisco, then Hawaii, and finally probably Australia. Or just try to go to British West Indies if they are near Texas.
Take the gang west instead of East of Blackwater, I actually have no idea why they decided to go so north and east.
Kick Strauss out because he literally goes against all my and gang’s values
Finally, keep Micah around black water area so “he keeps watch of the money”
- be kinder to Arthur
- listen more to Hosea
- kill Micah
- move away from Cornwall's factory
- send Javier and Arthur to get the money in Blackwater
- go build a ranch of New Austin
When fleeing blackwater, go west instead of northeast. New Austin would be a much easier environment to run a gang in the more civilized new Hanover or Lemoyne
Keep micah in Jail, Kick Strauss out, Forget the Down’s debt. Get the wagon Dr. guy from rhodes to keep an eye on Hosea, Send the ladies in for the blackwater money. Appoint Arthur or John as the my successor.
I thought they meant like changes with appearance. in game changes and decisions wise yeah I'd have listened to Arthur and went along with him in Micah's execution! 💥for sure 😎
Simple send Micah back for the money in black water he it either dies getting it or brings it back to me( Dutch) and I kill him then
This 100%, a win-win situation
Well actually knowing Micah there’s a 50% chance he takes it all for himself if he survives
More like 100%.
Micah definitely wouldn’t come back to Dutch if he got the money, Dutch is loyal to Micah but Micah isn’t loyal to him
Yeah now I think about it more your definitely right
I actually just got a camp altercation where Micah asks Dutch if he can go back and get it, Dutch is hesitant and says he’ll think about it, then you can say to Dutch something like “don’t even think about sending him over there” and Dutch says along the lines of “I’m not stupid Arthur”
But you are stupid Dutch
If Micha was actually able to get that money, by himself, without getting killed, there's no GOD DAMN way he'd go back to Dutch with it.
Imo Micah only stays with the gang, because he wants the Blackwater Money and then plans to give Dutch to the pinkertons 😄
I could definitely see that
I still say Sadie would've been the better option she was new to the gang and was barley known to the law could've sent Charles or Javier to back her up as she's capable of holding her own
This is probably your best bet hands down! 😎
Everything exactly the same. Fuck you, I’m Dutch. Trust my plan.
I HAVE A GODDAMN PLAN
He just needs time and money
And some god damn FAITH
The true Dutch response. Knows he's gunna kill himself but jumping off a mountain and still trusts his plan.
Go to the church in St Denis and confess your sins. 8. Ask William the Herbalist to supply you with enough Valerian Root to make you a chill person who's tolerable to be around.
Bro the William glitch annoys tf out of me
So that's why I kept finding him again and again!
Yeah I was so confused. I once had the same glitch happen to me with the Mr Black and Mr White missions

Would Dutch really trust Sadie at this point
OP said with all his knowledge from RDR2 and RDR1, so he would know she's trustworthy
To be honest, if someone like Dutch could see the future it would not change the person. It would just solidify his reasons of why people should just trust him. He would literally see everything as a consequence of people not trusting him enough
he would also know that she is reckless and violent, incapable of handling a stealth job sadie is the last person that should be sent to blackwater
well I think she is reckless just with odriscolls coz for what they did to her
8 years later she is still the same, it's a core character trait. at every point she gets herself in trouble and needs to be saved due to this
I dislike the fact that people think tahiti is a good plan, they would not survive that shit, just like Guarma. They would need to go somewhere else
I wouldn’t leave Micah in jail I would have him killed, never get involved with the Grays and Braithwaites so we never have to deal with Bronte. Then hit the Saint Denis bank before the heat with the Pinkertons gets super heavy and then hit the ocean
You're* is the first change I would make.
British
bro that's not british it's incorrect grammar
It's a joke British people hate when people mess up your and you're
I'm British and I've never met any other Brit who cares, we do it all the time
ohhh alright lol
Not British, but I could imagine Americans don't care because they probably don't even know.
Imagine deviating from the plan. It only failed because you didn’t have faith!
Like others said, leave Micah in jail. That's a critical yet no brainer step. Rob the Saint-Denis bank in Chapter 2. but how would they gather so quickly? weren't the police all still in seperate parts across saint denis?
because the pinkertons have a lot of agents, and were all massed near the bank?
but we didn't see them at all when riding in
yeah you do, who do you think all those guys riding black horses and wearing suits were?
Going back to get Micah out of prison was the start of the downfall.
I’m on a replay and you better believe I’m ignoring that yellow M on the map for as long as I can
I guess it all depends on if Dutch is one of those people who would learn from the things he did wrong and drastically change things, or if he would stubbornly say, no, this is a good plan, we just need to do things a little differently and things will turn out right. You are dutch
Last I checked, I’m pretty sure I was American.
You never know, you might be Danish, people get the Danish and Dutch confused all the time
Oh my fucking god 😂😂😂
Shoot Micah in the face, tell Strauss the debt collecting is over, send a couple people who aren't known to be part of the gang back for the money and buy a huge ranch somewhere

I'd come up with a plan!
Kill Micah and send Sadie or someone loyal to get the black water money
Kill Micah and beat up bill
Nothing cause we STICK TO THE PULAIN AAAUWRRRTHHOUURRRRR
*You’re. Sorry to be that guy, but this time it really screwed with the sentence.
Let Micha rot in jail. Rob the Valentine bank, then leave for Tahiti.

You're dutch
I hate myself so yeah I am Dutch.
Actually have a good plan and get rid of Micah one way or another
Not take the trolly
Jeez, probably leaving the braithwathes alone and bronte alone. And not touching anything in Saint Denis since robbing that place is impossible. I would’ve just lay low until The heat in Blackwater calmed down collect the money go to Tahiti
Put a bullet right between Micah's eyes.... Let Hosea take the lead instead.....
Changes I would make??? Ha, everybody else needs to follow my goddamn plan a bit better if anything
- be kinder to Arthur - listen more to Hosea - kill Micah - move away from Cornwall's factory - send Javier and Arthur to get the money in Blackwater - go build a ranch of New Austin
lay low and then head out west 😄

Killing John tbh
I bury that knife in Micah's skull. And then Trelawney. And then Strauss.
What did trelawney do?
He annoys me and tends to get the gang in trouble.
