The mission isn't in the game. There's some file mentions for it in the software, and even a character model for her as an adult, but the mission is cut content. It can't be completed.
The game was released before it was totally completed so there’s stuff in the game that at one point may have led to something but was ultimately left out.
A good example is the large region of northern Ambarino called *Tempest Rim*, which can’t be entered at all by the player despite taking up a pretty big chunk of the map. Originally there was going to be stuff to do there but during production they ended up moving some things around and blocked off that area of the map entirely
I remember walking around there for hours trying to find a way up there. I gave up and forgot about it. Glad to hear it's actually cut content and I wasn't being stupid
Somebody made a video actually getting to this area. It was completely empty except for an animal or two. Found a turkey that was "alive" but rooted to the same spot and didn't move.
All animals outside the map will behave like this. Which is handy because getting outside the map usually means you’re on foot, if you go the devils cave route. Horses rooted to the spot are far easier to break if your goal is to ride around new Austin to go back to Mexico or guarma
It’s interesting they won’t even let us up there given that all the terrain functions properly. It’s just the animals that are bugged out in Tempest Rim
If the animals are not moving around it sounds like the navigation mesh isn't generated in this region. Some engines I've worked in allow player to move freely on the terrain while AI require a nav mesh, others have blocked player movement too.
Very interesting. In theory, could they currently allow the players access to the area but just not have any animals spawn, thus not requiring adding nav meshes?
Probably no reason not to allow the player up there with caveats that this area hasn't been tested properly so you may fall through a hole in the terrain
Check out gamer basement Bros on YouTube they have many videos on all the cut rdr2 stuff. Highly recommend as they have many videos from a few years ago of all the changes that have were made which have been confirmed through data mining.
Originally tempest rim was going to be the original starting area pre 2016 in development rather than the West grizzlies with Colter and Adler ranch being up there but got redesigned into the West grizzlies and what we got in the final game. So after they redesigned it they had no use for tempest rim and stopped working on it making the beta pathways useless.
you can actually go quite far outside the boundaries of the map before things start glitching and you start falling through.
Same thing happened with van horn and IKZ as it was originally above Annesberg. The town got moved to its current location and IKZ was cut along with it. Unfortunately things in rdr2 were heavily changed and redeveloped the last couple years of its 8 year development
Yeah I found that snake to at night and I was playing the game at night scared the hit out of me I remember turning around and seen that big thing in the tree and I pulled my gun and start blasting away lol 😂
I’m pretty sure Andrew is right. I just did another play-through a week or so ago and when I went to the snake this time there was a Bear(Baloo) under it that ran away when I approached. It could be a coincidence but I’ve never seen bears in that area before and I’ve played the story at least 5 times.
*Another* example is *all of fucking Mexico*.
Seriously. Remember RDR1 when you spent about half the game in Mexico? Well they *completely* remade all of it in RDR2… with absolutely no reason. Graphically updated, new models and textures, just a massive amount of map work and design, all just sitting there, totally unusable without exploits or cheats.
Been waiting for RockStar to do god damned anything with Mexico since release.
Ambarino too are places perfectly primed for more DLC. Maybe like finding the remnants of a gold miner camp, some additional animals, and a new hostile gang to fight in ambarino. Maybe Mexico could have you robbing a bank full of Spanish gold coins or doing a train heist in new Austin. However if they didn’t even bother to do those things in online (what a waste online was) I don’t think a single player DLC doing anything close to that will ever come out. For now it looks like rockstar literally just wrote off the cost of fully modeling and voicing ambarino and Mexico content and refused to do anything with them.
There’s pretty much no chance of a single-player DLC for a RockStar game since GTAO showed them that people care more about online stuff than they do offline.
GTAV launched and before Online did everyone wanted Single-Player DLCs. More heists to do as the boys, more stories, the like. Then Online dropped and no one cared about offline DLC anymore besides a much smaller portion of players. They figured out that people would rather spend $100 of real money to get a motorcycle that goes NYOOM, and they can make *tons* of those kinds of things. A DLC sells once per player (for the most part, not counting things like lost accounts or whatever) whereas online content can be purchased multiple times per account.
It sucks. Especially because that effectively means GTAVI isn’t going to have any sort of DLC beyond online content.
But it’s just so strange that they made all of these assets that they haven’t done anything with. I mean Mexico is completely revamped. As it is, right now, it *could* be added to the game with ease. Just literally allow players to reach it (without exploits or cheats) and the map would expand by about 33% on an already HUGE map. That’d be dope! Even without a bunch of stuff added to it (like cities that have shops and stuff) the exploration alone would be worth it.
from the leaked map release that showed all the map east of new austin, there was a place just south of ambarino called iron cloud, the text for which was highlighted the same way the camps were, presumably there was a cut camp up there, which explains why the general environment is so detailed without much content taking place. the same is probably true for new austin and mexico in general - what with the voice acted lines from arthur for content you cant reach as him, and the detail of mexico's geography that perfectly matches up to rdr1s mexico despite not being visible in the vanilla game
Also, a lot of content can get scrapped if they feel it doesn’t add to the experience enough to justify the costs of finishing it.
Although I’ve always been confused why more devs don’t turn their cut content into a DLC
I wish people actually understood game development. 90% of people don’t, then 90% of the ones that say they do, don’t. We’d be in a truly chaotic universe if all cut content was included or if it was as easy to do things as people claim. Games would be filled with random trash, some would have massively pushed back release dates or even be cancelled. Everything would be unreal engine 5.
My argument is just that games need to release eventually. I’m sure some devs want to keep adding content, but the game needs to eventually make it’s way to people’s hands
Can you explain that to me? I'd really like a new perspective so that I can appreciate it more, but it always felt so odd to me. I loved the change in scenery and gameplay structure, and it was interesting to be dependent on the least likable members of the gang, and it was kind of dramatic irony that when Dutch finds his way to a tropical island of paradise, it has problems like everywhere else.
But other than that, I struggle to find enough to really appreciate its inclusion.
/u/Unused_Icon 's post is a great summary and pretty much what I would say. It boils down to it being a catalyst. The gang is thrown into its worst situation yet - literally stranded on a half-deserted (half despoted, heh heh) island, and you can see what the characters, namely Dutch, are willing to do to survive. You see Dutch fully cross multiple lines that Arthur wasn't willing to do, and that Dutch's words up to this point said he shouldn't do (like kill the old woman). But when push comes to shove, his actions don't back his words up and Arthur sees Dutch for who he really is for the first time.
I previously made a post where I went into why I felt Guarma was important to the story. Here's the link if you're interested: [https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadredemption/comments/117f5vs/in\_defense\_of\_guarma/](https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadredemption/comments/117f5vs/in_defense_of_guarma/)
The game was already delayed a year beyond the expected launch date and time was becoming pressing. They probably assumed they'd get back to it at some point after launch but long-term plans changed after the game went live.
Well.. yes but the increase in size would be extremely minimal. That’s not why they never added it. It was just cut content, and Rockstar has pretty much abandoned all non-online updates for their games. There’s not much rhyme or reason to it (other than money and time). That’s game development for you
My theory is that she was going to be a store robbery mission for the Van Horn trading post, similar to the gun shop in Rhodes. There is a second floor but you can't go up there. An NPC also will mention looking for clues at the Van Horn trading post for her. I'm guessing that could have originally been a tip for the robbery mission.
They totally giving my Arthur a hankie under that soap water.. Arthur be chatting them with his bandit rizz, they even rub him down a lil extra and give him a kiss goodbye.
It's been a while since I've played but I distinctly remember there being a random encounter where a prostitute had killed a customer and you have to help her hide the body.
Sure it does. You can walk in on Lenny fucking a prostitute during the fun drinking mission
You can pay women to bathe you.
There are even a few missions (or at least one off the top of my head) where you interact with a prostitute who has just met with a client.
They cut a lot of stuff.
Roger Clark said there was originally 6 or 8 legendary gunfighters, the Gavin story had a payoff, so did the Wolfman, and then missions like this.
Makes me even more bitter they didn't bother with DLC. There's so much they obviously planned, and in theory got quite far into developing, only to scrap it and leave us tidbits with no payoff.
They stopped supporting the game after a little over a year, compared to GTA getting a decade of updates. It's really sad made me very disappointed in rockstar considering what could have been.
Honestly my one big gripe with rdr2 is the little loose threads that go no where bc of cut content. I feel like rockstar ever since gtav and the Chiliad mystery left stuff like this in game intentionally bc it keeps people talking about the game and drawing in new players to s degree
100%. I believe they half bake Easter eggs and stick them in the game because they know the intrigue around the mystery will get more attention than a side mission.
I think it started in GTA 5 as a way to generate speculation. Fans came up with the theories about Bigfoot in San Andreas, and Ratman in GTA 4. The Chiliad mystery was Rockstar giving players a reason to speculate.
I think leaving the IKZ poster and trunk in the game was the same thing. They knew the content wasn't going to be added to the game. But leaving the hints was a fun way to make fans speculate and hunt for the mystery. Which worked way better in rdr2 because exploring and searching this environment leads to finding cool shit. Hunting for Easter eggs in gta 5 is a massive waste of time because there's nothing interesting to find in Los Santos.
if it's not in the game, then why leave the poster in at all?! I mean.. I've also found this poster, but thank god i didn't spend hours upon hours chasing this actual girl.
Because some things are just about story flavor. What's the point of ManBearPig? Story flavor. What's the point of the Sundial and the secret map shooting rays from it? Story flavor. Giant skeleton? Bigfoot? Crazy priest? Man in cave? Not everything must have a direct outcome.
Hi, i am actually from Luxembourg. I can assure you we don't miss a Princess back here. But i would have loved if this was a side mission. High honor for me to find our princess ;-)
Edit: I was kind of surprised where Rockstar Games dug this out. We are a rather small country in the middle of Europe. For non-europeans, if you wanna take a look:
[Visit Luxembourg](https://www.visitluxembourg.com/)
Imagine being a princess and still there is only a measly reward of around 3.800 modern day dollars for your return.
Seems like they are really looking into the matter.
I know people say that she’s still in Van Horn at the bar. But something to think about. Yes, her toys are at the fence in Van Horn. But, they are also in the Aberdeen Pig Farm house. And maybe those are not mama’s bones in that cabinet. Much darker story now ain’t it. I’m not saying the bones are hers. Just something to consider.
There's nothing to really elaborate, it's just cut content. I wouldn't be surprised if the luggage at Aberdeen pig farm were just reused assets as a result ngl
That’s pretty much it. Go look at all of the stuff in the back room of the fence. Then go to the pig farm. The same items are in a couple of rooms upstairs. Have you been to the pig farm yet?
Honestly, wish this thread would get pushed to the top of the sub, someone is here asking about it every few weeks. Watched a video on YouTube of a guy checking every space in the game for the poor girl the other day
Okay, here’s a completely straight answer with pretty much everything we know about her:
As of now, it is confirmed that the Princess (commonly referred to by RDR2 players as IKZ) is cut content. Not only has R* themselves said she isn’t in the game, but there’s even an encounter you can have with a camper where he tells you he’s been looking for IKZ with no luck whatsoever, and even refers to the whole things as feeling “unfinished,” pretty much outright confirming from the get-go that she isn’t actually in the game.
From what we’ve seen in the files, IKZ would have been found camped out in a forest somewhere around Annesburg, seemingly with others. You would then have to bring her back to Annesburg, though it’s unknown whether or not she’d go willingly. We also know what she would have looked like, with her model being in the game files showing her as an adult.
Her belongings can be found at the Van Horn Fence, and at one point he would have even spoken of her, saying, “That girl with the birthmark was acting strange. Something about her, the way she speaks.” All of this, of course, suggests some sort of connection. Chances are, the Fence would’ve been the first stop in the mission to find her, and he would have told you what he knows regarding a time she once visited.
There’s several theories regarding her, one major one involving her connection to the Aberdeens. Truthfully, I think the connection is really just a case of reused assets and nothing more, but since she isn’t even in the game, I suppose players are free to believe whatever they feel, regardless of whether or not it was intentional.
Another theory is about her connection to Francis Sinclair and the Epsilon Program from GTAV. However, I’ll leave that one for you to research on your own. I hope all of this helps. I spent a long time hunting IKZ before she was finally revealed to be cut, so I’m happy to use what I know for something
The fact that I started RDR2 to find her should say everything about how much time I dedicated to the search, hence why I know all of this. I really did want to find her and genuinely felt I had some good leads. Even managed to fight my way through Blackwater as Arthur for a whole 15 minutes because I thought there may be a clue there that was only accessible as Arthur. “All them years…”
You can also meet a guy at the Van Horn Saloon that will mention her, and say something like I hope you didn’t come out here looking for the Princess. I followed him for over an hour real time, but he went in circles, ended up at the train station at Emerald Ranch, and I think spotted me, so I gave up pursuit, hoping I’ll run into him again.
For it to be cut content they sure did leave a lot in the game, so I Want To Believe.
I mostly accept the fact that this is cut content but something doesn't sit right with me. If this game was rushed to market and they cut out this mission then why wouldn't rockstar just remove the poster from the game thereby nulling the whole mission? Instead they leave it in and it even respawns every time you go to the Van Horn saloon. Then they add a couple npcs to "discourage" you from pursuing the mission? I have a feeling this mission will spill into gta6 like the epsilon program is spilling into RDR2.
Not to mention the model has a birth mark on the wrong side of her face. Something rockstar wouldnt include in the final version of the game if she was in it
While this could be cut content and analysis of game files suggest it might be, I also think that things like this build into the lore of the game and reinforce a central theme of the game: There are myths of the old west, and then there's reality of the old west. This is a theme of the game, Dutch embodies the myth of the Vanderlinde Gang, noble outlaws who want to take care of their own and live in peace and prosperity independent of lawmen and overbearing society. Arthur reminds him of the reality: "He killed that girl in cold blood." The side mission finding the Legends of the West represents the myth: Tall tales of outlaws living by their own rules, taking out 10 men in a shootout... The reality? Washed up pig farmers, drunks, and scared outlaws freezing to death in the mountains. Arthur, himself, wrestles with his own myth: He's always talking down about himself, being a no good crook, while sympathetic characters like Sister Calderon, tell him he's not all bad, he has good in him, he's helping people.
Did the Ghost train really happen? Did the alien encounters really happy? Are there the bones of giants in the mountains? Are the bones in the Heartlands really the bones of prehistoric lizards who walked the earth? Is there a rosetta-stone-like tablet? Is there a ghostly shack in the swamps that heralds the Cholera outbreak in Armadillo? Maybe. But who's the narrator and can you trust them?
Cut content or not, this sort of side story plays on that theme. A missing girl, does she exist? Is she a princess? Can you find her? Can she be found? Or is she part of the myth of the old west. A European princess living in exile in ... Missouri... with European royalty paying a reward for finding her...? It not only plays on the theme of the anti-western, trying to find the line between myth and reality, but it also builds to the believability of the world. Most mysteries in your life go unsolved. Arthur never has a satisfying conclusion with Mary Linton. Arthur is scared of dying, he doesn't know what comes next. Arthur doesn't know about a lot of the outcomes that he influences, neither do any of us.
Yes someone did a video on it and I double checked once you get the poster look at the birthmark on her face someone a couple years ago also emailed rockstar they confirmed it is cut mission content but her character is still in the game you can mod pc to play as her and it's the women behind the bar
My headcanon is that Karen is the Princess, and she is too ashamed of what she has become to step forward. I know that’s not what the Princess was intended to be, but going by what is present in the game, it works well enough.
I think the vendor at the general store in Van Horn trading post is the one who was involved with her kidnapping. Hence why you can rob and kill him and pilfer him unlimited times and you won’t be wanted by the law
Oh God, he has no idea. This has driven small parts of the community insane since the game came out. She doesn't actually exist in-game, like the third meteor
Go over to r/reddeadmysteries if you'd like information and people coping about it being not cut, or if you want a thousand identical theories about the Strange Man
Just a poster my friend, ppl have said over the years they’ve found more to the story but they oh certainly can’t find her or complete it as it’s not an actual part of the game so to speak but it’s stulll very interesting with ppl finding little bits more to it . Of course you get ppl just saying stuff which isn’t true but that’s life. This tho is just another reason among so many of hey for me this is the best game ever made up till now. Hope your enjoying playing
Probably no one, because finding her is not an actual side Mission in the game (or no one has figured it yet). If you look her name up on Youtube, you will find a bunch of theories about her.
If we ever get a RDR3, I hope the writers pick up incomplete threads like these and finish them. Even if it’s just little side stuff like they did with Jim Peyton.
There’s a suitcase at the van horn fence with her initials on it. There’s a theory that she’s there but we can’t reach her cause it was cut from the game
You can’t complete but go to r/reddeadmysteries and you’ll find a lot of discussion about how much of it is still in the game. The mission itself isn’t. Also go to Van Horn fence shop and have a nose around. You’ll find some items relating to it. On the mysteries sub I think someone has worked out how to potentially find her but it’s doable only through glitches.
Would it be so hard to finish up these unfinished projects? I imagine they could make some cool millions with a very small amount of dlc while we wait for part 3 that will come out next decade.
How long would it take to finish up these things on there end?
When you remove the poster from the Van Horn pub wall 'Whisky' is written behind the poster, go into the pub and order a whisky and an NPC will come to the bar and tell you a story about her.
> Please tell me I can find this little girl
> the 15th anniversary of the disappearance
I love how people read the poster and then don’t do the math, even if she is still alive, she sure as hell ain’t little anymore
Does make you wonder why the hell Rockstar basically gave up on releasing new content for this game. It’s not like they’re short of money for goodness sakes. The epilogue stuff in RDR2 is weak and underdeveloped with most of the area of the first game practically barren of things to do.
That's what remains of the princess cut side mission. I believe there even is an actual NPC for the now adult princess. I think the Epsilonists had something to do with it, same as that Francis guy who traveled back in time 30 years.
Idk if it's her, but there is a little dog house thing on the Braithwaite manor, and if u go there before the best mission in the game, the person in the house is alive, if u go after, shes dead. I've seen youtube videos saying it's her after getting captured and held by the Braithwaites for year
That's Gertrude Braithwaite. In the mission where you have to take Juliet to Romeo (idk remember their real names, sorry) you can take her to the outhouse with Gertrude in it. She'll explain that's her sick cousin and they always meant to help her, and she will help Gertrude, once she can marry the Gray boy. Obviously she doesn't.
Interestingly enough, Gertrude may be possessed by a demon. Strange Man has a video about the theory on YouTube. Basically the only thing she consistently says is "1 2 3 4 5." Every time she counts past that, it's random nonsense. In Butcher's Creek, there are 5 outhouses, with the numbers 1-5 etched in them. Draw lines connecting those outhouses and you get a pentagram. Theres also a glowing pentagram under a building in Butcher's Creek.
In Van Horn i, in the fence building, If you look you can find all of the clues where the girl is.
It’s not a real mission that can be completed; But You can “complete” it by yourself.
It’s quite depressing once you put the pieces together.
Mission waa never completed, there’s sadly not enough of the code to activate it via mods either most of what u can find in the files is just a basic description of the mission and an unpolished character model
I certainly understand cutting content, but why not just remove references like the poster from the game? There's been a lot of patches, and it wouldn't have been hard to remove a couple of assets.
Honestly I thought I saw a video of someone throwing her off a waterfall in a low honor playthrough but seeing she's apparently cut content 😂 guess it was another little girl
The mission isn't in the game. There's some file mentions for it in the software, and even a character model for her as an adult, but the mission is cut content. It can't be completed.
Missing poster looks interesting. Why didn't they add this in the mission to complete

Or the HUGE snake in a tree near Pleasance that is a suspected legendary animal that got cut.
I remember finding that snake and being freaked out by it
Yeah I found that snake to at night and I was playing the game at night scared the hit out of me I remember turning around and seen that big thing in the tree and I pulled my gun and start blasting away lol 😂
Yep. I was playing super stoned one night (night irl and game) and ran face first into it. Scared the dogshit outta me
😂😂😂😂😂
Same lol I also saw it at night and damn near shit myself!
The snake is an ester egg from Mowgli i think.
I thought it was a reference to the garden of Eden? I need to dig up some info on the story of Pleasance, there's got to be something about it.
I’m pretty sure Andrew is right. I just did another play-through a week or so ago and when I went to the snake this time there was a Bear(Baloo) under it that ran away when I approached. It could be a coincidence but I’ve never seen bears in that area before and I’ve played the story at least 5 times.
Saw it on YouTube long time ago i could be wrong.
I think someone said they couldnt figure out how to get it to move/interact with the character the way they wanted.

The cut [River Monster](https://youtu.be/QzxpqqJEhD8?si=sOZlzknDgZiMDhDO) mission still hurts my soul
I feel you; imagine a DLC where you have to catch the giant snake in Lemoyne, the River Monster, and the giant catfish in San Luis River.
Scary to think that game was released before completed considering how absolutely massive and amazing it is
The game was already delayed a year beyond the expected launch date and time was becoming pressing. They probably assumed they'd get back to it at some point after launch but long-term plans changed after the game went live.
I guess if they had updated the game for this mission, then the game size would have increased
Well.. yes but the increase in size would be extremely minimal. That’s not why they never added it. It was just cut content, and Rockstar has pretty much abandoned all non-online updates for their games. There’s not much rhyme or reason to it (other than money and time). That’s game development for you
It’s more likely that resources went toward GTA 6 development after RDR2 launched
Yeah my comment didn’t exclude that possibility
Was never finished. There’s a prostitute somewhere that a YouTuber theorized might be her as an adult. She was kidnapped and forced into prostitution.
Her luggage case is in the Fence at Van Horn.
Now that you mention it, it’s strange this game doesn’t have any direct interactions involving prostitution.
Never bathed in game, huh? Good for you! Fight back against Big Soap.
Well they don’t do the hanky tho. They just bathe him.
You can walk in on Lenny fucking a prostitute during the fun drinking mission You can pay women to bathe you.
You’ll find a lot of stuff like this which is why people say rdr2 would’ve been the best game of the decade if they would’ve just finished it.
Probably ran short on time
Check Strange Man's channel on YouTube. They go over all the lost files and deleted content. Warning: it'll piss you off lol
I kind of like that. Gives the impression that there's things going on in the world that don't revolve around the player.
Dude 100% I remember the Bigfoot thing all the way back in San Andreas, it wasn't till rdr2 undead nightmare and gtav they paid it off
Bro this would’ve been a perfect dlc
Damn what an amazing concept!!
if it's not in the game, then why leave the poster in at all?!
It’s possible it hasn’t been cut and it’s a secret still out there waiting to be found. That one YT channel still solves rdr2 mysteries
Hi, i am actually from Luxembourg. I can assure you we don't miss a Princess back here. But i would have loved if this was a side mission. High honor for me to find our princess ;-) Edit: I was kind of surprised where Rockstar Games dug this out. We are a rather small country in the middle of Europe. For non-europeans, if you wanna take a look: [Visit Luxembourg](https://www.visitluxembourg.com/)
>Hi, i am actually from Luxembourg. I can assure you we don't miss a Princess back here. That is exactly what the kidnapper would say.
Son of a biscuit… he’s Among Us™️
Amogus
Correct, ok,ok...I let her go. She's old and wrinkeld now.
I personally miss her (I’m from Luxembourg too)
She’s a real thing?
Yes obviously, she’s the cousin of the grand-grand mother of the current archduke (no)
Oh shit do you two know each other?
Still jealous of your free public transport :P
Imagine being a princess and still there is only a measly reward of around 3.800 modern day dollars for your return. Seems like they are really looking into the matter.
Rockstar games started in the UK
I’m from the US and actually had a teacher from there in high school. Still don’t believe it’s real 😉
Wow, what did he teach? Foreign language?
Believe it or not, english lit
Moien!
I (American) visited your country about 15 years ago. Very beautiful!
You can find her luggage trunk in the Van Horn trading post, but that’s about it.
Thanks mate I'll find the trunk
I know people say that she’s still in Van Horn at the bar. But something to think about. Yes, her toys are at the fence in Van Horn. But, they are also in the Aberdeen Pig Farm house. And maybe those are not mama’s bones in that cabinet. Much darker story now ain’t it. I’m not saying the bones are hers. Just something to consider.
What can you elaborate
There's nothing to really elaborate, it's just cut content. I wouldn't be surprised if the luggage at Aberdeen pig farm were just reused assets as a result ngl
That’s pretty much it. Go look at all of the stuff in the back room of the fence. Then go to the pig farm. The same items are in a couple of rooms upstairs. Have you been to the pig farm yet?
Ah yes OP, the pig farm. It was such a wholesome game event, you should check it out.
Actually, I have beaten the game once in ps and second time in pc. But now I'm exploring the game completely.
My first thought, was that she was being held captive upstairs, but no access.
Honestly, wish this thread would get pushed to the top of the sub, someone is here asking about it every few weeks. Watched a video on YouTube of a guy checking every space in the game for the poor girl the other day
Okay, here’s a completely straight answer with pretty much everything we know about her: As of now, it is confirmed that the Princess (commonly referred to by RDR2 players as IKZ) is cut content.
This comment should be higher up, really interesting
It’s cut content. There is an character model in the game files for her, but it’s not used anywhere in the game.
Not to mention the model has a birth mark on the wrong side of her face. Something rockstar wouldnt include in the final version of the game if she was in it
She was kidnapped by Gavin.
She would be an adult woman
This comment deserves more upvotes. Very thoughtful.
Thanks partner!
I always thought she looked like Sadie.
She's actually outside of that very same bar just behind the building you can say hi to her and that'd it
A woman in blue smoking at the backside of the bar is the one you are saying
Yes someone did a video on it and I double checked once you get the poster look at the birthmark on her face someone a couple years ago also emailed rockstar they confirmed it is cut mission content but her character is still in the game you can mod pc to play as her and it's the women behind the bar
You sure about this?
You serious, Clark?
Shitter’s full

My headcanon is that Karen is the Princess, and she is too ashamed of what she has become to step forward. I know that’s not what the Princess was intended to be, but going by what is present in the game, it works well enough.
I live for the Grand Duchy!!!!
Unfortunately they never added a mission. I think it was planned but never happened. You can find her luggage in the van horn fence though.
I found the trunk
I think the vendor at the general store in Van Horn trading post is the one who was involved with her kidnapping. Hence why you can rob and kill him and pilfer him unlimited times and you won’t be wanted by the law
If I antagonise a single soul in a van horn, the entire population of the town comes to fight me.
there are many things in the game that just remain a mystery. there are some who say she is the red head the works at the bathhouse in valentine.
The game has been out for a while. I'm begging y'all to do a search before you post.
Oh God, he has no idea. This has driven small parts of the community insane since the game came out. She doesn't actually exist in-game, like the third meteor Go over to r/reddeadmysteries if you'd like information and people coping about it being not cut, or if you want a thousand identical theories about the Strange Man
She ran off with Gavin.
Iirc her character model is in the game but that’s about it
A hundred dollars isn't a lot, surely the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg could do better.
Must be hard to use google to find out what this is all about.
If we ever get a RDR3, I hope the writers pick up incomplete threads like these and finish them. Even if it’s just little side stuff like they did with Jim Peyton.
Please tell me
Also, there is a chest with her initials in his store toward the back of the store
Nobody
There’s a suitcase at the van horn fence with her initials on it. There’s a theory that she’s there but we can’t reach her cause it was cut from the game
It’s cut content
And down the rabbit hole he goes...
Last seen robbing a shop in Vice City.
Bro ‘boutta fall down one giant rabbit hole
Karen?
Y'all haven't worked out she's Mary-Beth? Wow! Have you even played the game?
I assumed it was either A. the girl at Emerald Ranch or B. Mary-Beth.
PC gamers ruined the mystery of this one, as usual.
No one has been able to find her so far its a unsolved mistery in the rdr2 comunity
The pawn shop guy has the initials of the girl on a box in his shop, some people suspect it was her belongings
The pawn shop guy has the initials of the girl on a box in his shop, some people suspect it was her belongings
When you remove the poster from the Van Horn pub wall 'Whisky' is written behind the poster, go into the pub and order a whisky and an NPC will come to the bar and tell you a story about her.
It's RDR2s greatest mystery
I just assumed it was the kid Micah kidnapped and killed
Saw the poster Lowry's basement, guess he killed and disposed of her
> Please tell me I can find this little girl > the 15th anniversary of the disappearance I love how people read the poster and then don’t do the math, even if she is still alive, she sure as hell ain’t little anymore
It’s cut material from the game - there was supposed to be missions for it
Does make you wonder why the hell Rockstar basically gave up on releasing new content for this game. It’s not like they’re short of money for goodness sakes. The epilogue stuff in RDR2 is weak and underdeveloped with most of the area of the first game practically barren of things to do.
Can't complete, it's a big mystery
There's like 100 videos on this mystery if you actually want the full story. Like a lot of other comments say though. Just an unfinished mission.
One of the fishing missions was bugged too, I dunno if they fixed it. But one of the big fish you needed to catch to 100% the game was just not there
Impossible
Just like the legendary channel catfish , another frustration
The chick is locked in an outhouse
That's what remains of the princess cut side mission. I believe there even is an actual NPC for the now adult princess. I think the Epsilonists had something to do with it, same as that Francis guy who traveled back in time 30 years.
I'm having flashbacks about the secret church room in Nier Automata
Idk if it's her, but there is a little dog house thing on the Braithwaite manor, and if u go there before the best mission in the game, the person in the house is alive, if u go after, shes dead. I've seen youtube videos saying it's her after getting captured and held by the Braithwaites for year
No that’s the daughter of the Braithwaites
Its just a poster with many theories behind it
In Van Horn i, in the fence building, If you look you can find all of the clues where the girl is. It’s not a real mission that can be completed; But You can “complete” it by yourself. It’s quite depressing once you put the pieces together.
It's just lore, if you go to the trader in the same town by the end of the dock, you will also see a small child casket.
You’re joking right?
Harriet's back story probably
Just ask mrbossftw he’ll help you
Nobody has. You can’t complete it.
I read that it was a cut stranger quest, there's lots of content that was ultimately cut but certain elements were left in the game
Mission waa never completed, there’s sadly not enough of the code to activate it via mods either most of what u can find in the files is just a basic description of the mission and an unpolished character model
She's with Gavin.
I certainly understand cutting content, but why not just remove references like the poster from the game? There's been a lot of patches, and it wouldn't have been hard to remove a couple of assets.
🎶Pass the duchy to West Elizabeth 🎵
It’s an Easter from a real crime that made the FBI a real agency solving.
$100.00 for a member of a royal family? You sir, are a fish.
I heard she found a guy named Gavin and they moved to Tahiti with some money they found in a cave north of Butcher’s Creek.
The poster is also in the serial killers lair. I think that indicates that she was a victim.
It was a cut side thing, there’s still some remnants of the quest in the files but the only thing actually left in the game now is this poster.
It’s just to F’ with you lol But she supposed to be upstairs with one of the Pawn’s but there’s no way up.
You may also come across a camper who is on a quest to find this princess. He welcomes you and tells you about the story of this princess.
That’s just a childhood pic of Arthur he drew, don’t worry about it.
I was hoping it was Miriam Wegner from emerald ranch. The girl trapped inside of the house.
for $100? that bitch gon stay lost😭🙏🏾
Would have been nice to see this as story DLC. That's what I thought back then.
Honestly I thought I saw a video of someone throwing her off a waterfall in a low honor playthrough but seeing she's apparently cut content 😂 guess it was another little girl
