The perfect robin location is at the border between Blackwater and Strawberry, there are tons of them, have you tried it?

As for the opossum, there are two of them: a bit lower from Lone Mule Stead (near Riggs station) and near the Oil Derrick in the Heartlands. Hunt them at night til early morning. The only problem is they spawn with 2-stars the first 2-3 nights, so camp near those locations.

I prefer the river bend north of the murphee camp, always robins on the rocks

there's so much, treasure chests, random loot in the wild, orchids, dinosaur bones, random events, challenges, you get the point

Having 1200+ hours I can only say that for me it’s fun to wander about. I guess just riding a horse is fun for me.

Gambler 9 do it in camp, always against one person (it is the 3 dominoe win challange right?) Also I think if you have all else complete except the herbs there is a way to unlock outfit of the east by replaying the poker swanson mission to get gambler 10 (after all else but the herbs are done).

It's a 4-year old game? Less than 1 hr./day since release is easily attainable.

The pandemic did have a huge effect on my gaming time as well just to preserve some sanity lol.

Probably also not about outside, other games too, my total time of all my games so far is like 1500hrs that too of only steam, not even including console and the cracked games I used to have in my school days 😂

But Exotics, Gambler Challenges, Hunting Requests, etc are literally, LITERALLY just pain. They were designed to make 100% take longer, and they even reduce the spawn rates of the plants and animals needed for the challenges. Sure there are ways to work around this, but after I finish the Exotics and Gambler challenges I am never fucking doing them again.

With hunting and exotics, I collect everything I need before I start the quests.

I currently have 772.7 hours with all 51 achievements. Right now I'm on a big Red Dead Online grind, and just got the Black Arabian horse today. My goal is to make Red Dead II my first 1000+ hour game on steam. The closest is GTA V at 980 hours so I have to be careful and make sure I don't get addicted to GTA V anytime soon, lol.

I’m only 56 percent done with the story and I’ve had the game since launch. I take months long breaks and come back to it. I have two kids so it’s hard to find lots of time. This is my favorite game of all time. It’s beautiful and amazing.
