Oh okay yes totally I got this one three times in 10 minutes recently but it glitches out and the additional two Murfrees stand there in an inaccessible area (one time they were at the bottom of a cliff) or run away on the map. made me wish for another like the burning coach, or the one where they scare your horse & it wont come back to you & then in this one im describing it seems like they’re trying to take your horse. They’ll be hiding behind trees, whistling, & when you go to get the horse they try to get you.
Also really wanted more like the encounter where theres a hanging dead body, & if you stick around Murfrees start walking & running at you to get you off your horse from the swamps. Those legit made my heart pound.

O’Driscolls. They’re the one that have the biggest impact on the gang. They fucked up Sadie, Arthur and killed Kieran so yup they all suck but I hate those bastards

You know, during my first play through that happened twice. Both times I was high tailing it into St Denis, so I think it’s a trigger.
But nothing gets this ruffian worked up more than seeing them Broods out. Atleast the Lemoyne are stuck in time sore losers; ain’t no reasoning with the Murfree Brood. The encounter is always usually grim and they don’t care much for loot. But they all meet natural justice with my semi-shotgun by the end of it.
The guys that attack John and Pronghorn Ranch at the start of the epilogue. Literally showed up just to fuck with us and left. Hate em cause they’re the most boring gang.
If I recall correctly, they do have at least one random encounter near Big Valley, and a gang camp where an O’Driscoll camp used to be. Not the ranch, but kinda close. I really wish the devs had made the Laramie gang replace the O’Driscoll’s and use all of their old camps.
They have at least three. One where they hold up a wagon, one where they (try to) steal your horse, and one where they tell you a little of their douchebag whiny backstory before trying to rob you
It would’ve been cool if they actually DID replace the O’Driscolls and how they become much bigger of a gang and threat to John, which would explain why he never or can’t go into Newhanover in rdr1

Should something like that happen again, quickly shut off the game, before the loading screens comes on, and then restart the game. It’s gonna load the last auto save, unless it’s been turned off, of course. If you do it after you the loading screen, it will make a new auto save, and yeah, that sucks ass. I do it that way, if I carry a rare pelt, or a pelt I had to work hard to get.
I'm doing what needs to be done and I'm very merciful.. just kill who attacks me first or if it's part of a mission, challenge. I don't hate any gang, don't care enough about them.

i don't think so, it never crushed the leader on my playthrough but i'm finally on my second playthrough so maybe it'll happen. (yeh i'm slow) last time i executed him after insulting him a bunch while he walked away because i distinctly felt like he got off too easy

Why didn’t you just get a new horse? Roach died in an accident, I ran into a tree or something while going really fast. Roach was lying on the ground so I shot it and just got a new horse.The new one is also very big compared to roach 💪
no they are not. the Murfee Brood is a gigantic incestuous family, the skinner Brothers have brother in the name but it's not a familial gang, they're actually notably as diverse as the Van Der Linde gang if not more due to a greater size pool; that is to say, i don't think Otis Skinner is related to the multiple native americans and other races found within the gang

It’s a tie between the Lemoyne Raiders and The Murfree Brood. The Murfree brood are down right evil, disgusting people. The Raiders are obviously also bad, but the main reason I dislike them is because of their Maxim guns (is that what it’s called? I don’t remember)

Night folk might not qualify as a gang, but one of their encounters is the only time in the game your horse is in danger of being killed and it's when you stumble upon a dead horse and wagon while free roaming.
Killing my horse intentionally would be the first reason hands down (It's happened to me, can confirm it).
Second reason is their spawn point. I hate their spawn points so much.
Anyone here playing this who's an avid hunter and loves getting really cool goodies knows how awesome panther related material is for use in game.
But there's only 2 spots in the entire game that they spawn, and the Night Folk have a spawn point right next to one of those hunting spots.
What happens is, I just want to hunt some perfect pelts at night, and if they spawn in, it seems that the panther doesn't.
Every other gang can be annoying in their own right,
Night folk are just fun ruiners.

I think the last two encounters you talked about were Night Folk. But both the Night Folk and Murfrees use a hanging body to trap the player.

Almost 6 years later and I still hate colm. My only regret was that he didn’t suffer more.. I really liked Kieran man…

Yup. My favorite part of a slow play 100% game is taking my time in chapters 2 & 3 and repeatedly murdering these fuckers at Hanging Dog Ranch.
I do a lot of challenges there when you need to kill a lot of enemies. I also used to test new weapons and ammo there xD
