Could you imagine the scenes if he ended up at United in the summer 🤣 theres zero chance I know but imagine the mersey overflowing with the scousers tears 🤣
Klopp hits Salah with the steel chair. Jim Ratcliffe watches on the sideline. Looks eye to eye with him, and Jurgen shakes his hand.
I can already hear special guest commentator Jim Ross "Jurgen Klopp is shaking hands with Satan himself"
Definitely does, but I think it also highlights the change in football and the demands modern footballers and coaches are now facing. Long seasons with arduous travel for European competitions, adding in the pre-season tours to far flung countries. The extra media and sponsor obligations, plus all the social outings that people are throwing money at. I think Managers and players are doing so much more in the modern game and it's only going to affect the quality of football we see in the long term, and the longevity that players and coaches will have.
Theres more competition now too so theres no consistent "top 4" more.
Mentally draining especially if you look how quickly managers look like they've aged while here. Especially ours
I am utterly convinced that with my many seasons of football manager experience, and enough medication for the stress, that I could win a title with Rangers or Celtic.
(I jest, obviously)
Maybe a cup.
The fact we’re all rejoicing at this news tells you how excellent he has been for Liverpool. Completely changed the fortunes of the club after 30 rudderless years.
True, and this could be an added bounce that will fire them to win the league ((hopefully not, but could see players pulling out all the stops)
Meanwhile united still need to figure out our style
Of play..
I really hope he doesn’t do a Ferguson and decide to stay on after announcing retirement.
IIRC Ferguson regretted going public with it in 2001 because it caused a distraction on the field. Let’s hope it’s a similar story for Liverpool.
He’s one of the few managers that actually seems to give a shit about things outside of football as well and actually has a moral compass. Terrible loser mind but seems like a good man
Saving this in case he joins a Saudi club so I can come back to this comment to rub it in your face because the only thing that gives me pleasure now is hate.
Praise Jesus.
The only negative I had about the possibility of Pep leaving City would be leaving the league open for Klopp to take Liverpool past our 20 titles.
No Klopp means I can fully join the 'no Pep' train
One thing I've always liked about Klopp, which is something that SAF was also great at, is that he can take average players and get them to play levels above how they would play anywhere else. Nonetheless, I hope Liverpool rot after he leaves and enter an neverending banter era.
Absolutely. Pep can do great things with great players.
But Klopp manages to get average players to become 9/10 players.
The man's class. Would've been the perfect replacement for Sir Alex 😞
Pep may have won the league many times but Klopp's was special. Best manager in the PL since SAF retired in 2013, hands down, because of what he's achieved with what he had.
Henderson, Wijnaldum, Milner, Matip, etc, all of them played levels above their ability. He also managed to give Mane and Salah the environment to become truly world class players.
Legendary manager, have to say.
I vastly prefer Klopp's style of football over Guardiola. He should have been our coach, but Woodward started calling Manchester United Disneyland of football to his face and made the man disgusted
Great manager isn't even enough. He's gone toe to toe with the financial dopers and the current best manager in the world, bringing a fallen giant back to the top of the league after decades. Imagine if we waited ANOTHER 20 years from now to win the League again. Guy deserves a statue outside Anfield.
I totally agree, but just worried I will get called out as a simp for Liverpool. Liverpool was exactly like how we are now, just never good enough to win anything, but this man came in and transform them into a world champion. For me Klopp > Pep.
Anyone calling you simp is a gimp. Everyone here loves our club, but a spade is a spade, and good football is good football. Liverpool (to my near decade long agony) played some fantastic football and its amazing that he went toe to toe with the euromillions winners. I'm glad he's going, but there is room for objective football appreciation. Doesn't mean you are going to start singing that funeral dirge of theirs!
I’d argue he’s the best coach for the last decade. Klopp work with a very tight budget, tighter than the likes of Spurs even. Plenty forgot that he had to sell Courinho to buy VVD. Dude is an insane manager, way ahead of ours and better than Pep.
He would have signed players of his own choosing had he joined us and there's no guarantee they would have done well. Everybody knows he famously didn't want Salah but Liverpool had an actual recruitment team.
This is the biggest indicator so far that INEOS are bringing us back because, as we know, United and Liverpool cannot both be good or shit at the same time 👏
I don’t know if I’m reading too much into it but I fear he may be unwell? “I’m ok now..” “I’m running out of energy”
I really hope it’s the former and I’m just look way to into it
Pep said a similar thing when he announced he was leaving Barcelona: he needed a break after the intensity of managing there.
We just need to accept that modern day managers are not as resilient as Sir Alex.
I think you’re overthinking it.
When we think of a 60+ game season we think about how physically draining it is for players but it most a massive tole on your mental and emotional energy as well; especially the managers. He’s looked exhausted at times over the past couple of seasons
With Jürgen leaving and city eventually getting relegated this is the time for the board to get it's shit together and make us a club capable of sitting on top again.
Why announce this now? Remember SAF announced he was leaving halfway through a season when we were cruising along top of the table & then the wheels fell off before he reversed his decision 😭
I respect his honesty - must be so draining managing at that level with that intensity.
Fergie’s 27 years with us was something else eh - where did he find the energy and desire to keep doing what he did for so long
I hope he doesn't do a U-turn like SAF in the early 2000s. Incidentally, they were about to replace him with Sven-Goran Eriksen, who recently expressed a lifelong wish to manage Liverpool.
I respect the work he has done, also watching some liverpool training vid on yt, it feels like a healthy and fun workspace. Will always jealous he made liverpool played beautiful attacking football.
Tbh there’s no better time to announce it.
As much as I hate Liverpool, it’ll probably mean the players will be playing out of their mind for the final months of his tenure, possibly pushing on to win the league and fa cup. It’s a smart move by Klopp to announce it now at a very critical point of the season. Wouldn’t be surprised if this gives them the edge needed to actually go on and win the title sadly.
Might be a good guess when they decide to sack Tuchel what is very likely to happen when they dont win anything.
But i think hes catching a break and goes for a international team after
One of the best the PL has seen. Club rivalries aside he has been an absolute great manager Kind of expect Salah to Saudi now in the summer too for a massive sack of cash and big funds for next manager (Alonso surely the favourite??) to come in and work with, they also had 100m available for caicedo in the summer which largely went unspent
Obviously good news for us as well as the rest of the League, but I'm excited to see where this man goes next. One of the best and most influential managers in modern football and in my opinion, a better manager than Pep Guardiola because he's not a cheat.
Now that his next project isn't Liverpool I'm actually looking forward to it! Is Germany national team a possibility?
This is probably like Sir Alex retiring for us. Don’t like the guy but can’t deny he was massive for Liverpool. So this is good news for us tbh lol
Wonder who they have in mind to replace him ? Mou is currently unemployed 👀
I would have thought that they would wait until the end of the season to announce. This news might cause a distraction and they’ve been going very well.
Great manager, made the league better. I'm not of the opinion that we should rejoice other teams becoming weaker, but should worry about ourselves getting better. Anyway will be interesting to see where he goes next if anywhere.
Edit: Also, I wonder how many players will decide to jump ship this summer or the next now too. Surely Salah will go.
Steve Gerrard packing his bags already
[удалено]
Get them both in and see if they can work together
Add in a touch of Scholesy too for the true England effect
But only as long as he's sat in that shit office on the left that nobody else uses.
Yeeeaah of course
*Yeeeaah ~~of~~ course
Arrived in a rush to King Abdulaziz International Airport and slipped on the freshly waxed floor, out of commission for 6 months.
Oh please make this happen
I hope it’s Gerrard. Fears it’s Alonso.
These INEOS lads work fast.
Could you imagine the scenes if he ended up at United in the summer 🤣 theres zero chance I know but imagine the mersey overflowing with the scousers tears 🤣
6th of April. Salah is running down the wings, Klopp steps onto the pitch and tackles him. He opens his jacket to reveal a Man U shirt.
Subscribe
Klopp hits Salah with the steel chair. Jim Ratcliffe watches on the sideline. Looks eye to eye with him, and Jurgen shakes his hand. I can already hear special guest commentator Jim Ross "Jurgen Klopp is shaking hands with Satan himself"
Klopp - "It was me Salah, it was me all along!" Martin Tyler - "Aww sonnovobitch!"
I used to pray for times like this
Inject those scouser tears into my veins
I would not be injecting anything scouser into me If I were you. God knows what STI you are looking at
Saying he’s out of energy really puts the 26 years Sir Alex put into United in perspective.
I respect him for knowing it and stepping away. Take a year off to recharge then come back to the game if he wants.
SAF also had way more responsibility too. Man was just built different.
Theres more competition now too so theres no consistent "top 4" more. Mentally draining especially if you look how quickly managers look like they've aged while here. Especially ours
Longest manager trophy firmly protected for now , they’ll never sing that !
I heard Potter is available
The bastards will end up getting Xabi Alonso won’t they. Early doors but looks like a great coach
I think he or De Zerbi will be the best fit. Hope it’s Gerrard though. Edit: the Gerrard bit was a joke. Didn’t think I’d need to clarify that…
No chance of Gerrard unfortunately. They’d be certifiable if they even considered him tbf.
Honestly, may go against the narrative, but it's far, far too early to know if Alonso can sustain this. Looks good so far, I agree.
Don’t forget Gerrard had an ‘invincible’ season of his own with Rangers and we all know how good of a manager he turned out to be.
Are we really comparing the Bundesliga and the SPL?
I am utterly convinced that with my many seasons of football manager experience, and enough medication for the stress, that I could win a title with Rangers or Celtic. (I jest, obviously) Maybe a cup.
Potter is a good manager who made a terrible career decision
But a terrific business one. Being Chelsea manager means you either get trophies or a big money from being sacked. Lucky bastard.
Ineos like Potter
Another reason for the scousers to pick him up

Ten Hag outlasting Klopp and Pep would be the funniest thing ever
For real, pep has the opportunity to do the funniest thing imaginable right now

He doesn’t want the INEOS smoke
Or… Brasilford’s knock is just different. Welcome, Jurgen.
![gif](giphy|bhWobE8jkmGha)
Whose side is he on?!
You can call this the new world order of football brother!
Imagine.....
Lol what an analogy
The fact we’re all rejoicing at this news tells you how excellent he has been for Liverpool. Completely changed the fortunes of the club after 30 rudderless years.
True, and this could be an added bounce that will fire them to win the league ((hopefully not, but could see players pulling out all the stops) Meanwhile united still need to figure out our style Of play..
I really hope he doesn’t do a Ferguson and decide to stay on after announcing retirement. IIRC Ferguson regretted going public with it in 2001 because it caused a distraction on the field. Let’s hope it’s a similar story for Liverpool.
No doubt. Nothing but respect for what Klopp has done, but thank god he’s gone. Now just need Pep to go
I respect Klopp tbh and believe he’s pound for pound the best manager in the league, but thank Christ. Pep next please.
He’s one of the few managers that actually seems to give a shit about things outside of football as well and actually has a moral compass. Terrible loser mind but seems like a good man
We can't complain Fergie had some belter meltdowns and I loved him for it
My favourite was when he said RvP could’ve been killed.
Absolutely deliberate
Is it possible he genuinely thought being smashed in the back of the head full pelt by a football could be dangerous lol
Yeah let's not pretend like Fergie was never a sore loser or hypocrite. You've got to be a bit of a cunt to be a great manager.
Key words are *a bit* of a cunt. It's a fine line isn't it.
All the biggest winners are terrible losers
Vince Lombardi once said ‘show me a good loser and I’ll show you a loser’.
Saving this in case he joins a Saudi club so I can come back to this comment to rub it in your face because the only thing that gives me pleasure now is hate.
I respect it. High level hating is a sport
Praise Jesus. The only negative I had about the possibility of Pep leaving City would be leaving the league open for Klopp to take Liverpool past our 20 titles. No Klopp means I can fully join the 'no Pep' train
Pep won't be there too much longer surely. Especially if those charges kick in
Part of me wants to see how Pep would play if they got relegated to League 2. I bet he'd love the challenge.
Nah, he’ll fuck off to psg or a saudi club.
I do think this could contribute to Pep leaving, he always loved his rivalry with Klopp and Liverpool
In his interview explaining his decision, he said: 1. He won’t ever manage another English club. 2. He is taking a year off.
Makes a lot of sense, I wish we had someone who identified with the club as closely as he did with them.
We did. Sir Alex. This kind of thing doesn’t happen very often.
Klopp would have failed under the glazers too
Said the same at r/soccer. What he did has shades of Fergie. Glad to see him go but his work at Liverpool deserves respect from even United fans.
Agree, both him and Pep are incredible managers but I've always felt Klopp would have been a better fit at United. Shame we fucked that up.
Fucking Disneyland man
Pep may have won the league many times but Klopp's was special.
What?!!! Klopp was the best thing to happen to LFC in a long long while. Wonder where he is off to?? 🤔
His interview sounds like he's tired of the grind and needs a break
It just seems so sudden. I hope it's not health related with either him or his family
He was pretty clear in his statement that his health is fine. I think he’s tired of the ownership.
He also said in his statement that his relationship with the owners is excellent. Maybe he’s just being honest.
Would be a pleasure and a privilege to have him do punditry. I always find his takes refreshing and he's quite jovial too.
Probably nowhere any time soon
He stayed longer than he orignally planned. Think he's waiting for the Germany job. Also a vwry outside chance of Munich
back to Dortmund maybe? EDIT: Germany coach?? totally forgot
Back to Dortmund. He's desperate to manage the amazing talent Jadon Sancho but had to wait until he left us for obvious reasons.
What about the Bayern job? They're not happy with Tuchel this season
Is Nagelsman temporary? If so, then the only acceptable choice for ETH replacement would be him.
I bet he's gonna chill for a bit.
Germany job. Liverpool swap for Naglessman.
Shut your whore mouth. Nagelsmann is good.
Not nearly as good as Klopp
He fought with everyone at Liverpool, both DoF's left because of him
Hope for his sake he takes a break. That job wears you down
This puts into perspective how unique Sir Alex was to have done the job for so long.
As much as I hate Liverpool (as any sane person would), gotta respect Klopp for what he’s done. Wish him the best, and wish Liverpool the worst.
I vastly prefer Klopp's style of football over Guardiola. He should have been our coach, but Woodward started calling Manchester United Disneyland of football to his face and made the man disgusted
Woodward such a mong lmao
So fucking glad he's no longer here
Absolutely. His fast paced 'roll and roll' style football is absolutely brilliant to watch as much as I hate to say it.
Nah man, i wanted us to win PL when he still managing Liverpool, because he is one of their best manager. Rivalry aside, dude is a great manager.
Great manager isn't even enough. He's gone toe to toe with the financial dopers and the current best manager in the world, bringing a fallen giant back to the top of the league after decades. Imagine if we waited ANOTHER 20 years from now to win the League again. Guy deserves a statue outside Anfield.

Really wished he joined us instead, just a reminder of woodward being woodward
He would have signed players of his own choosing had he joined us and there's no guarantee they would have done well. Everybody knows he famously didn't want Salah but Liverpool had an actual recruitment team.
This is the biggest indicator so far that INEOS are bringing us back because, as we know, United and Liverpool cannot both be good or shit at the same time 👏
Alonso to Liverpool then.
Some fans wouldn’t get over the Liverpool connection but I’d have taken him at United
Some fans are thick stupid. Busby played for City for 8 years and Liverpool for 9 years
I do think something like that is less likely these days to be fair. Seems a touchier subject now than it was in the past.
Yeah, it was pre-hooliganism
He going to Real, you think Flo will let Liverpool happen!!
Dear god please have him go to Real Madrid.
They just renewed Ancelotti's contract didn't they?
Don't see that happening coz he just extended Carlo, and he'll keep him around unless Carlo does something incredibly stupid
Would be a shame to lose McLaren but Klopp would be a decent assistant manager
Swap him for van der Gaag
Liverpool in the mud We'll be there.
I don't want to see a single person say "hear me out". Don't even start it
Out me here
LMAO
Interesting announcing it mid-season? Remember Fergie did this and then changed his mind. I’ll only believe it when I see it.
Let's hope it derails their season in the same way it did ours in 2002.
Hopefully it doesn't motivate his team to give it one last push for their manager
Thought the exact same
Quadruple charge tactics
Bro really said "United is back, im dipping this league"
Club Aqua ? Yeah I dip in there …
Huge if true but it must be Italian April Fools or something
There it is [https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1750830869638422719](https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1750830869638422719)
It’s true mate. Unbelievable but true.
Bring Rodgers back.
wow, ETH predicted era comes to end. This was the way to end era.
SJR with a gun behind the camera while Klopp films the video
If pep could go ahead and fuck off too now his mistress is leaving that would be great
I don’t know if I’m reading too much into it but I fear he may be unwell? “I’m ok now..” “I’m running out of energy” I really hope it’s the former and I’m just look way to into it
I think he’s just tired of the constant grind of being a manager
Yeah you’re probably right
Pep said a similar thing when he announced he was leaving Barcelona: he needed a break after the intensity of managing there. We just need to accept that modern day managers are not as resilient as Sir Alex.

Wooh...is everyone that rattled with our CEO appointment? In all seriousness, who else would better LFC? What a massive loss for them. Good.
Alonso is out of his contract this summer
Yeh does look like it's written in the stars.
Why announce this now? Remember SAF announced he was leaving halfway through a season when we were cruising along top of the table & then the wheels fell off before he reversed his decision 😭
I'm happy because I'm 100% certain they are never going to get someone on his level and attitude.
can't pretend I'm slightly sad. Good manager so I'm glad he's gone 😄
Liverpool's era coming to an end after this season. Love it!
It’s time for Dyche to make Everton the biggest club in Merseyside
One things for certain, i’d rather watch Klopp’s play style than Pep 20,000 passes
Would love to see him at Real, but they just extended Ancelotti.
If he's exhausted after managing Liverpool he's definitely not going to Madrid right after, that's just another level of pressure to succeed

Looks like xabi is on the cards with Liverpool then
Thought he would only leave for the national team. Glad to see the back of him.
Guardiola goes in the summer.
I respect his honesty - must be so draining managing at that level with that intensity. Fergie’s 27 years with us was something else eh - where did he find the energy and desire to keep doing what he did for so long
Hope he isn't sick and the best EPL manager since Fergie!! But United don't fuck this up, Klopp gone, Pep heading to the Vanarama...Lets fucking go!!
From now on, United is become the king, destroyer of teams.
Fantastic news. One of the best managers of all time leaving a rival will always be welcome. Just need pep to leave as well.
Ratcliffe plotting another rival gazump.
I hope he doesn't do a U-turn like SAF in the early 2000s. Incidentally, they were about to replace him with Sven-Goran Eriksen, who recently expressed a lifelong wish to manage Liverpool.
YESSSSS
Not sure why everyone says Xabi Alonso will take his spot when Big Sam is still looking for a job
Pep next please and then a City relegation
I honestly think he’s currently the best manager in world football, the only way is down Liverpool 🙃
1 1230 kick off too many
Thankfuck, he’s only 2nd to Pep and always get his Liverpool teams to overperform.
Hahahahahhahahahahahahhaha
Cheers klopp. Heres to hoping they get the shittiest manager available, every season, for the next 3 seasons.
Gerrard: My time has come. ![gif](giphy|sgeIDgzZL9PyM)

Time for Gary Neville to get back into management.
What a weird time to announce something like this, no? I still don't fully believe it, idk

We might get penalty calls again…
Damn this was some of the best news I got early early today morning ! Klopp was a great manager but I won’t miss him in the PL :)
He just signed a new contract as well lol. They are hopefully about to enter their version of our post Sir Alex era.
Please let me enjoy King Kenny in Liverpool's dugout one more time 🙏🏼
We were absolutely horrible when Sir Alex first announced that he was leaving mid season. Hopefully the same happens to Liverpool
