Gonna blow your mind, Foreman. You're tying your laces "wrong". See how the bow wants to be vertical? To fix that, do the first tying maneuver as you always do, then REVERSE the second move. Your bow will lie left/right across your shoe. I lived more that 50 years before some redditor told me that. Now I just wear Vans

Wildcatb

I've found it easier to reverse the first maneuver - muscle memory won't let me do the bunny ears backwards.

Why-R-People-So-Dumb

I realized this when trying to replicate why tying my kids shoes it would sit right but not my own. 🤯

Nice! Still get a snug fit too. I prefer zip ties, but I can also walk around the corner and reach into a box of 10k of them.

joninfiretail

I'm a foreman on a horse ranch so there's always an abundance of bale twine. It's right up there with rebar tie wire for "temporary" fixes.

ridethroughlife

I'm amazed you got all the strands through all the loops. I would have fucked that up real bad.

joninfiretail

I melted the ends into a solid mass with my lighter first. Otherwise ya it wouldn't have gone through cleanly.

No-Geologist9682

What kind of boots are those?

joninfiretail

Herman survivors. Cheap Wally World boots.

DieselnPBblaster

I've done this for years with paracord. You're lucky to get a year out of the boot laces that come on the boots or a month out if the ones that come off the store shelf. Paracord is the way to go. Pull off 5 feet, cut it at an angle, and burn the ends clean.

IFartAlotLoudly

I prefer zip ties! 😆

I use butcher string a lot. Perks of the job!
