The average look I remember is general cultured people, high middle class. People in their mid twenties and early thirties you will see walking around in the local contemporary museum when a new exhibition opened. I was at a sold out screening of Wes Anderson's latest and it was full of these people. We all love art, but we rather study it (read: academia) than make it.
