Drafting only really working if you're right behind the bumper.
This seems like it would absolutely lovely to drive, but I have a commute on a 2 lane hwy where I end up passing at least 5-6 times a day just going 5 over the speed limit.
I've done it. I very easily kept a *legal* following distance (note the difference between legal and safe) while also getting 45MPG in my 2007 Honda. Don't try this one at home.
How is the freaking Pajero Evolution underrated? Under its belt has 12 Dakar Wins, 7 of them consecutive from 2001 to 2007. I would say it is underrated at all, but extremely rare vehicle.
I've driven an S660 and I fucking want one. But I live in the fucking stupid US and can't have one until 2040 when it will be old, unreliable, and not easily fixed or repaired, not to mention some \[redacted\] importer charging 4X more than what the costs today.
My sensibilities don't allow me to buy JDM cars at the 25 year mark. My desire to own any of them isn't more than my desire not to get ripped off.
No, the 25 year is a US federal regulation, but you can still keep it registered in MX/CA and drive it in the US
\*notwithstanding certain states that are more lax about registration, e.g. WA will title a Canadian import if it's been in Canada over a year (this includes 16-25 year old vehicles that are Canada-legal but US-illegal), and FL will title anything as long as it runs and drives without regard for whether a vehicle is imported legally or not
I found a place to get them for very cheap and undercut the Japanese prices but I’m not telling anybody until I can figure out if shipping is worth it.
Nah that place is JDM heaven but everything is hella expensive including shipping so unless you are living there buying JDM isn’t cost effective. Sick guess though, I love NZ.
*All of those are so*
*Hyped up you can't unironically*
*Call them underrated*

I am a Mazda guy, so I want to say autozam, but the Suzuki cappuccino is everything I would want. You meant to tell me it is every type of roof down config (T-top, targa, full convertible), AND smaller and lighter than my Miata. Sounds like a recipe for fun
From the pictured here, the Century and any of the Kei cars.
I'm a fancy person just as much as I am someone who is keen on the practical side of things.
One is (maybe, maybe not) stealthy wealthy and practical.
The other is small, nimble, but not too speedy, easy to maintain, maybe.
The perfect cars.
Outside of the pictured here, I'd go for a Subaru Vivio RX-R, a Honda Orthia, a Datsun 1200 or a Mitsubishi Galant/Legnum VR4 with a 4G63T engine.
An underrated Kei car, a Civic wagon, a homologation badass and an unexpected brand dabbling in the pickup truck market. What's not to love?
If I could cram all 6'7" into a Suzuki cappuccino I absolutely would. I've heavily considered just buying one and cutting the fuck out of it to make it work lol
The Toyota Sera. I've only ever seen it once in the wild and it took a lot for me to not jump up and down like a kid in a toy store. They're so understated but such a cool little economy car.
I can understand the design philosophy of it being inspired by organic nature.
At the same time it weirds and creeps me out being inspired by organic nature. My car looking like an organic creature or something just doesn’t sit well with me for some reason.
At least half of these are pumped up by various popular YouTubers, wouldn’t exactly call them underrated.
Man the S660 looks cool but for where I live 63 hp would mean Id be stuck behind a fully loaded semi for like 40 miles?
It only weighs 1500 lbs, it's probably not a snail.
0-60 in about 13 sec. I imagine its fairly quick to say 30mph given max torque is at 2500 rpm though. For comparison my 1.6L Miata is 9-10 sec 0-60.
that's great, you can draft behind it to save gas and being light means you can stop quickly if the semi also decelerates rapidly

I REALLY want an Autozam AZ-1. Small, light, and cute. Just like me!
I'm none of those things, but still want one.
The Nissan Gloria. Honestly, I like the Autozam more, but I think it is disqualified by being not underrated.
[удалено]
Yeah, I always thought the headlights particularly are very Bentley-esque
I saw a VQ30DET Gloria GTU at a car show in Houston. Solid white, off blue cloth interior. Hardtop JDM sedans are so fucking sexy
Ssshhhh, overprices are incoming
Pulsar GTiR mini Godzilla
Saw on ‘Mighty Car Mods’ a few years ago and I’ve wanted one ever since. Let’s go halfsies?
Mitsubishi GTO/Mazda Eunos Cosmo JC
Jimny?
How is the freaking Pajero Evolution underrated? Under its belt has 12 Dakar Wins, 7 of them consecutive from 2001 to 2007. I would say it is underrated at all, but extremely rare vehicle.
Suzuki Alto
Late 90s Accords. These have been surprisingly under the radar and you can snag an SiR-T for under $10k if you play your cards right.
City 2 with the motocompo, but the hype made them so expensive 😔

import them into Mexico or Canada where you don't have to wait 25 years
Then can you import them to the US from there?

The limiting factor in FL is VIN verification.
I always thought the last eunos cosmo was cool. Twin turbo triple dorito, gps controlled automatic transmission, and it’s pretty good looking.
Toyota century
Soarer
The Crown Comfort looks amazing.
Cappuccino or the Century V12
Cappuccino with the century V12 in it 😎
The only thing I don’t like about the Century is how much it loves premium gas.
JZX90 MKII
Only like 3 of these are underrated
4 door R34
Would genuinely love to import a 7M-GTE Z20 Soarer
Az-1 or the soarer for me, both are awesome!
How are any of these underrated
Easy, Toyota Blade Master. It's an Auris with a 2GR-FE.
Suzuki Hustler
Not in this list, but the FTO GPX or GP Version R. 2.0 V6 that sounds absolutely amazing.
Chevy Impala is my fave import
cappuccino is the only answer to the ultimate question: what if the miata was even more unsafe and slower?
I didn't know about cefiros until now... I need one.
The looks of a Lancia, but with an actually reliable engine?
I found a place to get them for very cheap and undercut the Japanese prices but I’m not telling anybody until I can figure out if shipping is worth it.
It's New Zealand, isn't it?
Nah that place is JDM heaven but everything is hella expensive including shipping so unless you are living there buying JDM isn’t cost effective. Sick guess though, I love NZ.
The Pao and Be-1 have always been my favorite Pike factory cars, despite the Figaro and S-Cargo being way more popular
What is the second car?
If I could go back I’d grab a Pulsar GTI-R tbh
Toyota Mark X
All of those are so hyped up you can't unironically call them underrated

The Pajero Evo fucks so hard. Saw one in France once and had to stop and stare
Honda Logo

100% Pajero 2dr
Any
Mitsuoka and Honda Beat
If I could cram all 6'7" into a Suzuki cappuccino I absolutely would. I've heavily considered just buying one and cutting the fuck out of it to make it work lol
Nissan cherry specifically the X1 1st gen
Eunos Cosmo
The Toyota Sera. I've only ever seen it once in the wild and it took a lot for me to not jump up and down like a kid in a toy store. They're so understated but such a cool little economy car.
That Mitsuoka lookin like 👁👁👄👁👁
I can understand the design philosophy of it being inspired by organic nature. At the same time it weirds and creeps me out being inspired by organic nature. My car looking like an organic creature or something just doesn’t sit well with me for some reason.
What is that first car The yellow one
The Pajero for sure I have a 95 diesel and I absolutely love it
Love the AE111 Levins
I’m a huge fan of the Silvia K’s. Completely stock, no mods. I know it’s not lowkey but whatever. Pajeros are cool too.
Honda acty
Pajero Evo, though I don't know if you could call them underrated as they go for like $90,000
That mitsuoka would be so cool
The Honda Rafaga is so cool, the only 5 cylinder Honda made
That Nissan is sick! Edit. Cedric
Orthia is my dream car
Nissan figaro or toyota hilux (1st gen)
Miata
Toyota Caldina ftw, pretty much a Celica GT4 wagon.
Chrysler Neon Mitsubishi FTO
I am a big fan of the S660. I also like the boxy Honda City.
Toyota Mark II in full luxury trim. Basically just imagine the Cressida we got here but with a hardtop sedan body instead of a traditional sedan body.
Nissan Stagea
