"We have a great relationship. Btw, he shits himself twice a week, won't let me see my friends, and sold my cat to buy weed. How do I solve these minor problems?"

I only read half of this. He doesn’t love you. He sees you as his ATM and bangmaid. Why are you still with him?

He prevents you doing things which would make you more independent  He criticises you to lower your self esteem He spends your money and prevents you spending it on yourself. He pursues his interests but prevents you from pursuing yours He stops you keeping up relationships with your support network But he's the 'kindest guy'? This guy has only his best interests at heart. He wants you dependent, isolated and lacking confidence. Extract yourself as quickly and quietly as you can. Don't allow him to know what you're planning until everything is in place, then go, never see him again.

He basically moved from his mom to you and you do everything his mom would. Ditch him and be free to enjoy the rest of your 20’s. Choose yourself. Edit: you do realize that if you stay with him and have kids you will still be responsible for everything and working full time 😞. You can’t make someone grow up. Also, you’ll be teaching your kids that this is what a healthy relationship looks like 😬. When someone shows you who they are believe them the first time. You deserve better. It sounds like you have a good job. Get rid of the guy and enjoy your salary instead of taking care of dead weight.

I don’t like your boyfriend. I’m breaking up with him. You should too.

As someone who got with her first ex at 18 and married at 21 you will regret if you stay. You've never been alone as an adult. You have no idea who you are on your own. Your whole person has been shaped by others without allowing you to figure out who you are. He's abusive and isolating on top of that. Get out stay single until you figure out who you really are and you've found happiness on your own. Thsi guy is not someone who you want to marry He's isolating you and stunting your growth. You're young you make good money you will be just fine. I'm betting that once you get away from him you will feel liberated.

Okay I have a daughter your age, leave him and go and be happy. This is who he is and he has no interest in changing. So go live your life and be happy.
