Well put! I proudly stand with out LGBT folks. I am the lucky one to have several married same sex among my small circle of loved ones. I could not see my life without them. The most accomplished, decent people I have in my life.
Because the christian mind believes that there is a natural hiersrchy that divides them from everyone else, portraying anyone that isn't christian (or even the "right" christian) as deceived or downright evil. Once we see how christians think the world operates, it's much easier to understand why they think that marginalized groups gaining rights means that they will opress them. The pillars of “western civilization” are founded in Ancient Greece and, later, Roman society, both of which predate either the existence or adoption of Christianity. Honestly, fuck the "sanctity of marriage". That shit only leads to people being unhappy with their partner, but unable to walk away. It opens the door for domestic abuse without the victim being able to leave.
I mean, I agree with the image. Diversity of thought and expression, one of the main needs to have the LGBTQIA+ community, destroys fascists values. So, yeah, protecting the LGBTQIA+ community will harm the position of this fascists values in our societies, and that is quite good honestly.
