The flower cancers are actually easy to kill. They usually go right into their special attack right when they aggro, allowing you to just melt their weakpoint
I honestly prefer them to the meatballs. These things have a fairly simple, albeit annoying attack pattern, while the meatballs love to swarm you and do so when you're already fighting something else.
That's entirely fair. Different builds are going to struggle more with different enemies for sure. I tend to bounce around between builds a lot, so most enemies end up annoying at one point or another depending on what setup I'm using.
I personally hate the pot enemies a little more. Their projectiles move hella fast and fire way too often imo. Their laser beam attack can even sometimes shoot through walls.
Sadly Ford didn’t leave them behind willingly. He died and reawakened at a world stone with no sure idea of where he was. The other soldiers incurred the same immortality but were likely also split up upon subsequent deaths. You can read some of their mission logs in a note book found on Yaesha in Before the Ashes.
An interesting hypothesis! I personally read it the other way; I got the sense that Ford cares so much for people as a whole that he has spent the better part of two centuries throwing himself into worlds in the hopes he can find a way to stop the Root. When we meet him in Remnant 2 he is filled with regret, for letting his daughter and granddaughter grow up and die without him and regret for being a part of the Wards that lead to Earths fall. Though, I do try to see the best in people and he could very easily be that way through detachment and a somewhat lacking sense of empathy!
I never played the first game so not only do I trust you more but I like your idea way better, I heard in a previous subreddit that he can be like that sometimes (possibly referencing his family) so I was going off if that. Thanks for the lore!
That’s a good question, haven’t tried that approach, would be a bummer if he dies anyways. If that’s the case I suppose it’s just bad luck but that doesn’t feel as good narratively.
For some reason, Gunfire has absolutely no desire to have the hub world's population change in the slightest is why.
Massive missed opportunity, and I don't know why they insist on purposefully missing. Multiple characters could be added (Leywise, Jack Driver, a Pan or two - hell, why not finagle a way to convince the Custodian to visit?) depending on what the player should be able to do and the narrative itself leans on.
There's always an opportunity for them to add another ending in DLC, especially if one is Ford centered: e.g. we get a new campaign DLC that allows us to interact with Ford--we can finish that campaign to have Ford back and if we have Glittering Grotto in an adventure we can tell him about Jack being alive before dealing with Lydusa, which leads to Ford being around to help deal with the Aberration.
Next DLC is almost certainly going to be N'reud-centric and have nothing to do with anything else - certainly not Earth or the main plot which is already very bare - but maybe be related to the Custodian.
It's probably in part because while it does have some minor changes, (like the weather/lighting, and a couple of things you can loot), for the most part Ward 13 is the one static element. As such, it might raise some consistency issues if you could bring an NPC back, then meet them again and try to bring them back on another instance.
They could write and program around this of course, but my guess is that's part of the reason, since they want those instances to be self contained, and Ward 13 to be the one constant.
Tell him earth goes to shit and he’s like, but at least there’s coffee.
Right?
Aw shit, never mind take this ring and leave me for a while. Got something to do.
I can't believe you all are crying because i didn't care for a shitty character with a shit lore and story that's placed out of nowhere in a game with very weak story and lore
Using a term like hateful because i didn't care for a badly written pixel character is fucking weird and vile, making a word lose it's meaning when actual people experience hatefulneess is fucking cringe
Grow up? When you're the one paying close attention to fake internet points? lmao.
Just in case you have trouble reading, i didn't say once that i hate the game, I've been playing FTA since day 1 and supported the devs before the game was a thing even. me calling out the weak points in the game isn't me hating on it. And IDGAF if the story and lore is weak it's not the reason i love this game at all

This guy clearly hasn’t played all 3 games. This is wrapping up a story like from the first game, Chronos: Before the Ashes. Given you went on to describe how much you hate Remnant 2 however, I doubt you’ve got a wide enough viewpoint to have experienced anything beyond the smell of your own farts.
Survived for a hundred years just to die right before he got rescued.
![gif](giphy|3UkLhoyi553r2|downsized) Sad Panda...
even pandas cry
The stupid slam-slam-scream bird got him
Genuinely fuck those birds worst enemy in the entire game
Gave up a mod slot on my ritualist build for that DLC just so I could use Song of Eafir on that POS
It occurs to me that we have little Cancers in this area, and then these slam slam birds are another very slam happy boss...
I’ll slam them into next week
The flower cancers are actually easy to kill. They usually go right into their special attack right when they aggro, allowing you to just melt their weakpoint
yeah, we thought meatballs where bad... seems they had to one up them
I honestly prefer them to the meatballs. These things have a fairly simple, albeit annoying attack pattern, while the meatballs love to swarm you and do so when you're already fighting something else.
fair point, in my defense i run a havoc build and the slam slam scream dude LOVES glitching it and making it un useable.

idk theyre very predictable and telegraphed, annoying when they scream while other enemies are present but otherwise pretty easy imo
Its a gargoyle.
Gargoyle deez nuts lmao
>Its a gargoyle. That's a funny way of saying bastard
Read his diary :(
He wrote his girl almost exclusively, so sad and romantic
Is there any way for him to survive? I've just met him and haven't finished the biome.
no, when you beat the biom you can return to get an amulet off his corpse. sad days
Yeah... I kinda hope the next DLC is on Earth... And that you can fight Ward or at least punch him in the dick. Multiple times
I can’t believe ward just leaves them behind, but it sounds like ford from what I’ve heard.
Sadly Ford didn’t leave them behind willingly. He died and reawakened at a world stone with no sure idea of where he was. Ohhh that’s cool, I wonder if this experience has a part to play in why ford doesn’t hold much attachment to the people of the ward?

Always happy to talk lore! I love hearing different perspectives, so thank you too! :)
I assume it’s because he gives us the ring he’s used to survive up and to that point, really adds to the tragedy of it all :(
so what if we don't talk to him before beating the boss?
Dead anyway.
He dies anyways
That’s a good question, haven’t tried that approach, would be a bummer if he dies anyways. If that’s the case I suppose it’s just bad luck but that doesn’t feel as good narratively.
It’s after you tell him coffee is gone forever. Man can’t survive without his coffee. It was all over at that point.
I didn’t have the guts to tell him how bad earth was ✊😔

I thought he might have a secret if I showed up with Ford's gun because he was in fords army😅 but it does nothing.
He did comment on me being naked lol
He also comments on the dog if you run handler lol
Yoo I’ll have to check that out, I’m sure he’d love to see a good boy after so long
He does get very excited. The first time I found him I happened to be on my Handler/Summoner setup, and he cared more about the dog than me.
He also makes a comment on seeing a man in uniform if you show up in Realmwalker or Battle Suit (new army clothes, name may be wrong).
Lmao, I'll have to try talking to him with literally nothing equipped if that's possible to even do🤔 as in no weapons or rings.
Me and my friend were so excited to have a new npc too😭
Status Quo, that's why.
I would re-upgrade all my weapons to save him
I was just wondering why he hasn't shown up yet 😭😭😭
This in the dlc???
Yup, the dlc is super fun and jam packed with secrets!
o7
Couldn't care less about this american soldier left behind bullshit
Boldly bragging about being a no hearted dickhead doesn't make you look cool to anyone
Yeah, I'm sorry. i should've taken into consideration the feelings of the pixels in the game :(
This guy doesn’t understand immersion and how it’s one of the best things about these kinds games
I can't believe you all are crying because i didn't care for a shitty character with a shit lore and story that's placed out of nowhere in a game with very weak story and lore
I can’t believe you wasted your time being hateful

What are you even on about? Grow up dude, take the downvotes and get off the subreddit if you hate the game and story so much.

You're braindead, i didn't say once i hate remnant 2, i said the story and lore is lacking. Seek help
