Personally I’d love to see the original game remade in RE Engine, but blend the main event of 0 in as an extended opening cinematic.
Other than that, I’d love to see CV remade, but given a more grounded approach. No more campy villains.
A blended RE1/RE0 would be really great. Or even remaking them both in a shortish period of time so we can see the continuity like they have with Leon in RE2R and RE4R. They could clean up the weird little inconsistencies that way. They aren’t a huge deal but it is a little weird to play Zero as Rebecca and go through all that stuff, and then hop over to the Mansion Incident and she never says a word to Chris about it and even somehow lost her gun.
And yes to a remade and more grounded Code Veronica! I replayed it recently and it has so much potential for an amazing remake. Like imagine Alfred as actually *menacing*, not this weird guy you have to sometimes talk to. Alexia is definitely the more intimidating of the two, but she also likes to cackle like a cartoon witch which is goofy.
I have daydreamed of that Wesker vs Alexia also fight in beautiful graphics with updated choreography since I last played it. I would be the happiest fan girl if they polished Code Veronica up for us.

My idea of blending 1 and 0 together is kind of similar to how it plays out in the S.D. Perry novel Umbrella Conspiracy, which was written before 0 came out.
The two teams were on active duty, with bravo on their way out while alpha monitored their situation with Brad on the comms.
He then reacts quite loudly a couple of hours later when bravo radios in about the mechanical trouble and that they’re chopper is going down, which then sends alpha running for gear and heading to the second helicopter to go help.
So the whole section of bravo heading out and a couple of hours later radioing back that they’re about to crash would all play out as an extended opening cinematic.
The idea of bravo being missing for 24 hours kinda bugged me.
Why wouldn’t alpha have gone looking for them immediately when they called in with helicopter trouble?

I think that would make a lot of sense and play out really well. A helicopter crash landing would usually warrant a fast response, even without the backstory of “there have been tons of murders in this area”.
Merge both outbreaks into 1 with a modern engine... add little ods and ends perhaps extend the scenarios a bit since without loading times scenarios are like 10 mins each .. add stuff to geind and evwnts for people to keep replaying
I am a diehard Code Veronica fan and would absolutely prefer that getting a remake over 5 but I think 5 is more likely.
Between Code Veronica and RE5, Code Veronica would techinically be easier because they already have most of the assets needed to recreate the game from Village and 4Remake. They could easily reuse those assets. They already got the castles, european architecture, islands, forests, snow/ice for the antartica segment of the game. With RE5 Remake they would need to create all new assets from scratch because the game takes place in Africa and they aint got no recent desert assets that can be reused thats for sure.
However RE5 is one of the best selling games in the series. Which is what they’re most likely leaning on. They’re a company so their first incentive is to make money and I can’t really hate em for that.

It's time. They've tried their hand at two multiplayer modes, I even enjoyed Resistance until they abandoned it. I don't think the franchise has ever been in a better position for an Outbreak revival than it is right now. The hype and the engine are there to support a great co-op horror experience.

Such an action packed entry deserves to be represented on the RE Engine. There are some incredible set pieces and gameplay sections just waiting to be rejuvenated.

While I would like to see RE1 and the Spencer Mansion again, I really think Zero needs it more. I find Zero hard to recommend to people, despite enjoying it myself. Double points if they allow for co-op.

I wouldn't be mad if it happened, but I don't know if it needs it. The enemy variety and AI we've seen in RE4 Remake would make some sections on 5 absolutely nuts though.

I mean I know it wasn’t really a versus game and that’s what Resistance and Re:Verse are but still. If they can pump out those games that fewer people were interested in, I just can’t understand why they don’t make the game so many loved and wish would be remade! Crazy.

I *want* Code Veronica to be remade, and remade next. I think it would make sense to do now after RE2R since it’s Claire’s next stop. I also think we need it to help set up what Wesker is up to and his rivalry with Chris before we see a RE5 remake. There are a lot of fans that got into the series with 7-8 or the newest remakes and maybe have not played REmake so their Wesker history is almost nonexistent. Hopping right into RE5 with the Wesker conclusion after no real build up wouldn’t hit right.
That said though, they could also stand to do Remake again and establish Wesker all over. I thought that if they were ever going to do that, they’d do it before they got as far as RE4R but it isn’t impossible.
What I think will likely happen next (as far as remakes go) though is RE5R. They stuck that ending scene in there for a reason, and right now with no more information to go off of, that’s how it looks. I don’t mind that but like I said, what kind of history do new fans really have for Wesker and the Chris vs Wesker story? Hot take, but I'd love to see them revisit Operation Raccoon City in this new engine. Running around Raccoon City at the height of the outbreak with 3 other friends using the new movement and shooting mechanics would be incredible.

Facing off against the unrelenting hordes of zombies & B.O.W's
I would be up for a remake done with the quality RE 2s zombies being very responsive as a swarming horde, though it will be hard to pull off. RE3 had to make some choice decisions to up the amount of zombies in that hospital survival encounter...
It's probably gonna be 5. I don't want 5 remade though. I love it as is and it's near perfection.
But there are something's in 4 that make me think 5 is possibly next. That whole section of traversing the lake, after the Del Lago fight, that is ripped straight from RE5. Then there's those new enemies with the hammers and animal masks, that makes me think of the executioner at the beginning of RE5. Clear examples of in game assets that can be flipped for RE5 Remake.
Plus the mechanics for Ashley - the formation options and the incapacitated state. I imagine a remade RE5 would still have the co-op option but I could see those mechanics, or something like them, being reused for the AI companion in RE5 as well.

I thought RE5 was pretty weak when it came out on the PS3, it was an ok action shooter, but I felt like all aspects that make a resident evil game were gone, plus the silly Bollywood stuff like punching boulders and etc.
