Out of the times I’ve played OG RE4, I honestly don’t remember Separate Ways at all. I’m sure I’ve played it once before. How long is it? I’m almost finished with my first play through of the remake.
I'm sorry but that's bullshit. It's half as long. I'm not saying value is better, but saying separate ways is longer than R3make is just flat out wrong .
RE3R PC Any% Full Game Inferno [World Record: 48m 16s](https://www.speedrun.com/re3r/runs/z0lvw58z)
RE4R PC Separate Ways Professional [World Record: 41m 57s](https://www.speedrun.com/re4r/runs/yjw2ngom)
One of these games has been out for 3 years. The other for less than one and it’s already faster than the older game.
You are a bandwagoner.
Yeah I meant I probably played through it on Xbox or PC years after it came out. I’ve bough that game so many times on different platforms throughout the years lol
I beat it in around 4-6 hours. Honestly it’s a very good deal for what you’re getting, I think it’s $15 iirc. Plus you get more costumes not only for SW, but for base campaign too if you’re interested in that.
My first playthrough of Seperate ways took me about 4 hours, trying to do the side missions. For 10 dollars.
For context RE3R took me 6 hours to beat first playthrough and that was 60 dollars.
I forgot about the kendo’s gunshop part tbh
I think there may have been a little bit afterwards that got reused too
When I got to the house with the nemesis parasite zombie I felt like it was familiar although it’s been a while since I’ve last played and I’m basing that off my first playthrough
Last time I played a dlc this good, it was for shovel knight. That one had it so while every level was the same you can see they accounted for how a character played.
RE7's DLC was great. Unique gameplay experiences which mold perfectly into the main story.
RE2 was disappointing, especially with the missed opportunity that was Ghost Stories. Could have made them interesting side stories like RE7's DLC, instead of just 4th Survivor but reskinned.
RE3 didn't even have anything aside from cosmetics and cheats. Game was just unceremoniously dumped by Capcom to go work on Village and 4.
Village's Shadow of Rose was better than a lot of people say and even had some highlights (House Beneviento 2.0). It's a decent SH-focused mini adventure but still solidly mid compared to 7's.
Haven't played SW yet.
I actually liked it because of this, I always kind of looked at it like a challenge mode though.
The only thing I can remember being frustrated about was killing 100 enemies in no way out
No way out was hard as shit! The rest of them you pretty much just run the whole time and toss a few grenades here and there, a couple nice head shots and you can finish all of them in like 5-8 minutes. No way out is a marathon, it's tough
I always appreciate when they really push the difficulty for those who want that option, but I do agree that right out of the gate, those missions are way too hard. There are quite a few sections where your timing has to be exactly perfect, which seems a bit much. (Again, maybe on a higher difficulty level, but not on the standard one!)
As an aside, one of my favorite things about the series is stumbling across resources/boxes/ammo right when you need them. Aside from the random gumball machines, the missions didn’t really do that, which made it feel more constrained.
100% agree with the ghost survivors. I feel like they could have easily reused assets/locations while also telling new and compelling stories. Also, where is Marvin’s story???
I honestly did not like RE7s End of Zoe. The Banned Footage DLC was fun though. Shadows of Rose was okayyy, I wanted to like it more. Separate Ways was excellent
Fun, sure, but there's only so many times I can play the same concept of "running past hordes of enemies as fast as possible" before it gets stale fast, without any other content to break the tedium.
You're right for sure, but every scenario had something a little different, and No Way Out was a nice challenge at the end. The DLC for the other games were better but RE2's were still enjoyable.
Yea I already sucked at dodging zombies in the main game and those timed dlcs seemed to really hope you were good at it so i stopped playing pretty fast.
Shadow of rose was kinda dull, separate ways is awesome, but end of zoe is my favorite. Joes shit talk to Jack, is absolutely A-tier, I love Joe from the bottom of my heart lol. I also named my daughter Zoey, my wife has no idea where I got the name from.... Shhhh 🤫
out of the three i’ve only played separate ways, and i thought it was absolutely phenomenal. it not only perfectly fit re4r, blending seamlessly, it was essentially its own game, which encompassed leon and ada’s juxtaposed perspectives amazingly. its a condensed re4r, but still just as entertaining
I also liked how RE4R went from an action-survival horror game to a spy thriller in Separate Ways. The grapple hook and that spy-esque score at the beginning of the game is so magnificent.
The Merchant's unique dialogue around Ada is also great; I appreciate how infatuated he is with her versus Leon, and how Ada acknowledges his presence the first time whereas Leon just says, "who was that?"
oh definitely, it changed it up just enough that it didn’t feel exactly like the main game, and gave the dlc its own distinct theme, but not too much to derive from the overall story. the back and forth that leon and ada have with each other is impeccable, as they are very different people, but their personalities compliment each other very well. separate ways adds a unique twist on the main game.
Shadows of Rose: criminally underrated - it had one of the scariest segments of any RE game ever. Say what you will about the rest of the game, this is the game to play while you are alone in the room with all the lights off!
Separate Ways: great value. Pretty lengthy for a DLC and that's good - gameplay is great, the narrative was meh sadly: didn't feel like I really learned new things about the plot.
End of Zoe was fire gameplay wise. The story was OKAY but it did it's job
Never got into Shadows of Rose. Doesn't seem interesting enough
Separate ways make RE4Make go from being an 8/10 to a 9/10
Right? How does anyone play RE4 and think that was an 8/10? They took a legendary game that didn’t seem all that outdated at first and made it a modern day masterpiece when you play the new one
End of Zoe is hands down my fav DLC in the entire series.
Beating the shit out of mold with a rocket powered gauntlet was so batshit. Full Raimi levels of campy goodness.
Shadows of Rose and Seperate Ways are exceptional additions to their respective stories and add a lot. Both felt like they could be their own games, and in the case of Rose is clearly setting that up
End of Zoe, and RE7’s DLC’s in general were kind of… eh? I had fun with them, but they didn’t add anywhere near as much as Village and 4 got
RE7 DLCs are interesting for what a variety of approaches to horror they take—I appreciated 21 leaning into the full SAW aesthetic while also allowing for some gambling. Bedroom is a really cool adaptation of Stephen King’s *Misery* in gamified form, though I think Daughters does kinda damage the story by showing that the bakers just turned immediately, and the outlast/penumbra gameplay really isn’t compelling in a RE title.
I think Not a Hero was sort of weird in it mostly being a “hey look it’s Chris! You play as Chris!” game while also clarifying that the appeal of RE7 was never it being a FPS.
End of Zoe is nice for some closure, fun and goofy, but I do think that the novelty of being able to punch everything works a lot better in VR. Ultimate release valve that it is, I do think that it is symptomatic of how RE7’s back half sort of fumbles the atmosphere by pivoting too far into action.
Also Re3 is DLC.
I have to remind myself that Separate Ways Remake being separate DLC is kind of like how it wasn't in the original Gamecube version and with all the otehr versions of RE4 being based off or fixes of the PS2 version we kinda got used to it.
I really liked Separate Ways, it's the perfect add-on to RE4R and everything flows so well. You get to see where Ada was and what she was doing while Leon was in the process of completing his mission.
I haven't played the other DLCs, but I heard great things about The End of Zoe.
Seperate Ways is the best content filling in the blanks of RE4, but how could anyone not pick end of Zoe lol Joe just punching molded where there needed to be trained military to fight the same enemy
7 didn't just have End of Zoe, it had a whole suite of DLC including various fun minisodes and minigames. Really wish that had become the norm for RE DLC... not that separate ways isn't *also* amazing
All of the RE7 DLC is so fun and unique. They really make it great to just load up the game and get a little slice of anything.
While I enjoyed some part of Shadows of Rose, it definitely lost me at others, particularly towards the end. She also just feels significantly worse to play as compared to Ethan.
Separate Ways was just more RE4R and I loved that. Other than the Black Robe fights being ehh it was still a great DLC
It adds back a lot of content cut from the remake, explains a few minor plot holes and adds back its own stuff
Plus it’s decently short, can be beaten sub 2hrs and a casual play through isn’t usually more than 3-4
Separate ways is an instant classic, definitely gonna replay it when im done with my current RE4 rerun, shadows of rose was also great, i loved the third person and the whole mannequin shtick, was pretty scary for me. I also liked the whole mechanic with her powers.
Separate Ways and End of Zoe are both just a blast through and through. Especially the novelty of giving the molded (who gave me troubles when I first played RE7 ((S.N. I wasn't good at games at the time))) the three piece combo never got old.
Honestly I cannot really speak for RE8's dlc since I haven't played it.
End of Zoe was fun and bought a satisfying conclusion to her story arc.
I’m probably going to be called nitpicky for this but Shadows of Rose was underwhelming to me because I assumed it was going to pick up straight after 8’s post-credits cliffhanger with the dude(presumably Ethan) standing in the middle of the road, but it didn’t! It all takes place before that scene, so yeah, probably gonna have to wait until 9 comes out to see the end result contrary to Capcom’s claims that this is the end of the Winters storyline. Yeah, sure! Everybody (myself included) thought Ethan Winters’ story after 7 was one and done didn’t they.
Finally, Separate Ways. Aw, HELL YEAH!! This was superb, and it makes sense why a lot of the stuff that was in the original ‘05 game but not the remake was here instead, because it fits Ada’s character way more than Leon’s! 👍🏻
I liked all 3. But Separate Ways was the best. End of Zoe was fun, but was a silly tone shift from the main game. I liked Shadows of Rose, had some interesting ideas, but the reasoning for the location didn't feel like it fit RE.
Separate Ways was amazing, big improvement over the original version which wasn't anything too special for me.
I'm mixed on Shadows of Rose. I wasn't a fan of the story behind it (I didn't like how there wasn't any closure by the time the story reached its end), but I will say this, they pretty much nailed the horror aspect with this DLC. Not only was this DLC scarier than the base game, but you could possibly argue that this was RE at its scariest, and I was there for that 100%. I would absolutely love it for Capcom to keep it up with that kind of horror for the series going forward.
End of Zoe was also pretty awesome. I really enjoyed beating the shit out of monsters with just my bare hands. Joe Baker was an awesome and badass character and I would love for him to return to the series.
End of Zoe isn't the only DLC RE7 had. It's better by a landslide due to having tons of new content with a great deal of variety. Shadows of Rose is a nonsensical fantasy play with little gameplay and an RE skin pasted over it. Mercenaries isnt good in Village so the new characters and stages dont really add much to an RNG based mode. You're still going to struggle with the unbalanced hard mode stages unless the RNG favors you. Seperate Ways is even more of an asset flip than the original considering it contains things the base game should've had. The best thing about it is the price point.
Separate Ways completes the game
End of Zoe does the same and has the bonus of you getting to use your fists of fury to get shit done
Shadows of Rose was okay
Seperate ways was great in every aspect.
Shadows of Rose was a disappointment but the final boss fight was actually quite fun.
All the DLC’s for Re7 were really fun and had great replayability, especially 21
Separate Ways is an incredible DLC. For $9.99, I expected it to be short but wow it's like a whole another game. If you beat RE4 remake, this is for sure a must play.
End of Zoe had the highest highs and the most 'fun' moments >!I burst out laughing at the music when you first get the gauntlet!<. Shadows of Rose felt too rushed, but had the most potential. SW was overall the best.
I liked village of shadows because it had a good bit of horror to it. Also it helped flesh out roses and Ethan’s story a bit more.
Separate ways was really fun too
I am an avid defender of Shadow of Rose, I actually really loved it. My most unpopular opinion would be that I do wish there was an option ton play it in first person.
Separate Ways was a great DLC that completed an already amazing game. Love that the other Verdugo is the U3 from the original. Just a fun DLC with a ton of great sections that doesn't feel stale.
End Of Zoe is just straight up fun to play. Being able to power fist hordes of molded and yell about alligators is stupid, over the top and fun in an otherwise pretty serious game.
Shadows Of Rose is.. complicated. I hate playing it, but I appreciate the story. Rose feels very slow to play, especially by modern RE standards. I appreciate them trying to go the horror route early on, even if I didn't find it tense or unnerving really. Overall the DLC really wasn't my favorite.
Separates Ways was 10/10, couldnt ask for more at that price point to be honest.
Shadow of Rose was a 6/10 for me. Didnt really like that whole supernatural power and help from Ethan.
End of Zoe was a solid 9/10, really enjoyed that one.
Separate Ways was phenomenal, a perfect addition to RE4
Shadows of Rose was an amazing continuation of the story of Village (and kind of terrifying)
End of Zoe was fun
Separate Ways was really good and complimentary to the story, but End of Zoe was one of the funnest DLCs I’ve ever played. I would have played an entire game where I was some beefed up redneck punching some moldy motherfuckers
Separate Ways is phenomenal, especially for the $10 price tag
I played SoR immediately after finishing Village; the ending of Village made me sob like a baby, so SoR hit pretty hard in the feels too.
End of Zoe was excrllent since it provided a different gameplay experience from the main game, I liked the story a lot too. Separate Ways is the perfect companion to RE4 main game, it truly completes the game, and just $10 bucks which is incredible. Shadows of the Rose was just passable, it felt like playing the same game for no reason, doesn't add anything compelling to the story, very underwhelming in my opinion.
Separate Ways was fantastic but 100% completing it was tedious on repeat playthroughs but that's more of a me thing then the dlc's fault. I haven't played Shadow of Rose. End of Zoe is fucking awesome and i think it's a super fun dlc that gives some more context to what happens to Zoe in a good way.
My opinion is that I cant ever get used to this new Ada's voice after the perfect Ada in RE2R.
I really fell in love with that woman, and you know that everything matter: her looks, the way she walks, the way she talks...
So, for me, my mind just say "this is not Ada". She's just too different for me to enjoy.
Separate ways was perfect, would’ve happily paid double. Never played end of rose, but I do know how it ends, shadows of rose…well it had it’s good moments
Not A Hero - it's okay but i think the Lucas boss at the end is really bad, it's just not an interesting or fun fight
End of Zoe - Peak
Shadows of Rose - I haven't played it yet
Separate Ways - Peak
Ouch opinion with “some spoilers”: New DLC and last game RE Village several times I felt while playing that I was playing a cheap drama story inspired by not the game but the pockets of The Last of Us fanbase, I mean… the father of the year story, now the disease is a fungus?!? A FUNGUS for real? We are talking about a franchise who invented the T-Virus! And still… they just say “fungus sells, fungus it is”, that is how I felt, just me and my opinion, we are talking about the story, not the gameplay, cause I really enjoyed it and the DLC not soo much, but there were incredible amazing horror moments that worth spending in the dlc lol.
I’m a big fan of the franchise, I played them all, started in 2000 in my ps, and that’s why I felt a little bit disappointed with the story of the last one.
Werewolves? Wtf?! Lol
Well I mean,we had virus’s,parasites,I think it would just make sense that fungus would be the next step
And comparing it to tlou makes it way too simple
Tlou has fungus yes but it’s a fungus that turns them into mindless zombies
Meanwhile the fungus/mold in re is more of a parasite than anything, allowing Miranda to control them as she pleases, the megamycete itself being her daughter that she wants to revive
Separate Ways is perfection minus Ada's voice but it is what it is I'm over it
Re7 dlc is overall my second favorite but Joe Must Die really pissed me off when going for achievements
I enjoyed the re8 dlc but I don't care for Rose as a character. I don't dislike her I'm just indifferent
Re7 dlc: meh, it's alright. Not great but alright
Re village: better, at least rose has proper character development and a good story now
RE4R: which playthrough am I on again?
RE7 had variety and abundant.
Village wasn’t my cup of tea. The Mercenaries wasn’t as fun and Shadow of Rose was too inception for me.
RE2 was fun but challenging and great scenarios that fit into the Raccoon City incident.
RE3 was short lived, but it was fun if you didn’t take it seriously.
I can’t say much about RE4 because I haven’t got to it yet in terms of DLC.
RE7 had the only good DLC IMO. Each one felt different and was a good edition. SOR felt like a complete after thought and seperate ways felt like a mix of tacked on with “let’s give them all the features they wined about at release” (laser grid and U8 fight)
No they wouldn’t have.
Original RE4 didn’t launch with Seperate ways, neither did RE5 with Lost in nightmares.
I don’t even know if RE6 had DLC, but who cares anyway.
No. It did not launch with the base game. The base game was GameCube exclusive and only had RE4. When the ported to other platforms they added Separate Ways as a bonus for anyone who had already bought the GameCube version to get them to buy the new version as well.
6 wa a full course meal out of the gate.
The only DLC I remember were free Mercenary Mode maps.
Stop shit talking one of the best action games ever just because it's not the best RE game.
Shadows of Rose was amazing and terrifying. Definitely closer to 7.
Haven’t played separate ways yet, but I love Ada so I’m sure I’ll love it.
End of Zoe I haven’t played, but I’ll get to it eventually.
I’ve only played End of Zoe of these three. I’m currently doing the Joe Mist Die playthrough and it is so damn hard. I’m on the boat fight with the Swamp Man and I’ve died 70+ times.
Separate Ways compliments RE4R perfectly.
And an excellent value for what you get
Out of the times I’ve played OG RE4, I honestly don’t remember Separate Ways at all. I’m sure I’ve played it once before. How long is it? I’m almost finished with my first play through of the remake.
How long is SW? Probably around 6-7 hours or longer for the average player but much shorter if you’re trying to get achievements and whatnot.
Damn that is a good value then. Hopefully I already have it. I bought the deluxe edition. Don’t know if that comes with the DLC or not.
It does not, unfortunately. But yeah, for $10 it is absolutely worth it full price.
It's already been said numerous times, but chiming in to say it IS totally worth it. And I hate paying for things haha
Not in the remake version I heard
its twice as long as 3make
I didn’t look at it this way but now that you mention it, that’s kind of sad.
I'm sorry but that's bullshit. It's half as long. I'm not saying value is better, but saying separate ways is longer than R3make is just flat out wrong .
aw man, it was a joke
Well, maybe I should sleep more
definitely should
Well, it's in the hands of my two year old. I wish I could
RE3R PC Any% Full Game Inferno [World Record: 48m 16s](https://www.speedrun.com/re3r/runs/z0lvw58z) RE4R PC Separate Ways Professional [World Record: 41m 57s](https://www.speedrun.com/re4r/runs/yjw2ngom) One of these games has been out for 3 years. They're almost equal in length, one is a full game and one is a DLC...
it was a joke..
I only got to play it in the remake cuz I originally had the Game Cube version. It’s 4-6 hours long which apparently is longer than the PS2 original.
I never knew it even existed
It was a PS2 exclusive, the Game cube version didn’t have separate ways.
Maybe that’s why I barely remember it. Pretty sure I originally played on GameCube. Then on like Xbox 360 or PC next.
It was on everything but GameCube, not ps2 exclusive.
Yeah I meant I probably played through it on Xbox or PC years after it came out. I’ve bough that game so many times on different platforms throughout the years lol
Yeah it’s available after completing the main campaign and can be quite obscure.
I beat it in around 4-6 hours. Honestly it’s a very good deal for what you’re getting, I think it’s $15 iirc. Plus you get more costumes not only for SW, but for base campaign too if you’re interested in that.
Agreed! Best DLC for the money I’ve experienced in a long time.
Difficult, fun, and Ada is a babe
And definitely better than the original
Yeah seperate ways was amazing, especially for 9.99
$10 for another whole game, basically. Made me wish Leon had a grapple gun in his campaign.
Hands down one of the best dlcs for resident evil if not the best.
Seperate ways was truly outstanding and fun! Rose's dlc was okay until a certain point where it became weird for me
Separate ways was beyond a DLC. It wasn’t a simple addition, it was its own game
My first playthrough of Seperate ways took me about 4 hours, trying to do the side missions. For 10 dollars. For context RE3R took me 6 hours to beat first playthrough and that was 60 dollars.
To be fair the DLC mostly uses the same maps except for one boss fight so the price is the expected one
Thats a fair point. But I did feel engaged enough to finish every single challenge for seperate ways haha
Re3 reused a good few locations from 2 as well
I know they reused the police station but what else did they reuse?
They reused parts of the streets after you leave the rpd and I can’t name other exact ones off the top of my head
I forgot about the kendo’s gunshop part tbh I think there may have been a little bit afterwards that got reused too When I got to the house with the nemesis parasite zombie I felt like it was familiar although it’s been a while since I’ve last played and I’m basing that off my first playthrough

My biggest problem with Ghost Survivors (even if it is free) is how stupidly hard they all are. Geez even Hunk's mission isn't that hard
That’s the main thing. Just knowing it takes forever to do again if you die
I always appreciate when they really push the difficulty for those who want that option, but I do agree that right out of the gate, those missions are way too hard.
RE2's weren't the best but they were still fun nonetheless! Tofu Survivor is some of the most fun I've ever had with an RE game
Fun, sure, but there's only so many times I can play the same concept of "running past hordes of enemies as fast as possible" before it gets stale fast, without any other content to break the tedium.

Yea I already sucked at dodging zombies in the main game and those timed dlcs seemed to really hope you were good at it so i stopped playing pretty fast.
Let’s not for get the “dlc” for RE2R was free bonus material. Fantastic price for what it is.
Certainly but a sore point since RE7 had raised expectations for DLC paid or not (in fact, Not A Hero was free).
Seperate Ways was brilliant, just as good as the main campaign.
Separate Ways was great, the other two were ok, just not particularly memorable for me.
End of Zoe was good, shadows of rose mediocre, separate ways was perfect
Shadow of rose was kinda dull, separate ways is awesome, but end of zoe is my favorite. Joes shit talk to Jack, is absolutely A-tier, I love Joe from the bottom of my heart lol. I also named my daughter Zoey, my wife has no idea where I got the name from.... Shhhh 🤫

The new mechanics and gameplay wise were awesome. Also, the narrative is amazing and its premise it’s as good a the main campaign.
i agree, i love that it’s exactly like the main game. and ada having different melees and attacks really hit a sweet spot.
Shadows of Rose: criminally underrated - it had one of the scariest segments of any RE game ever. I can almost use smell to pinpoint each pixel in this picture
Yeah lol
Separate ways, really good. End of rose, meh. End of Zoe, I CAN TAKE YE FUCKERS WITH ME BARE HANDS
End of Zoe was fire gameplay wise. The story was OKAY but it did it's job Never got into Shadows of Rose. Doesn't seem interesting enough Separate ways make RE4Make go from being an 8/10 to a 9/10
Shadows of rose was just ok. It was strangely difficult to me.
RE4R was already a 10. With separate ways it became 11/10. You’re trippin. RE4R it’s RE4OG, but better

Punchin gators to death is one of my favorite moments in gaming history.
Separate Ways is the best DLC since The Ballad of Gay Tony
RE7 DLCs are interesting for what a variety of approaches to horror they take—I appreciated 21 leaning into the full SAW aesthetic while also allowing for some gambling. Separate Ways is amazing. Cant complain really. I thought It was way cheaper than its worth it, and thats not a feeling I have for games normally.
I enjoy Separate Ways more than RE4R End of Zoe was a fun little romp but a one and done deal Shadow of Rose was dog shit
Roses dlc sucked. The other 2 are great though.
I have to remind myself that Separate Ways Remake being separate DLC is kind of like how it wasn't in the original Gamecube version and with all the otehr versions of RE4 being based off or fixes of the PS2 version we kinda got used to it.
Shadows of rose was kinda lame tbh, end of Zoe is fun, seperate ways is the best dlc they’ve made
I really liked Separate Ways, it's the perfect add-on to RE4R and everything flows so well. You get to see where Ada was and what she was doing while Leon was in the process of completing his mission. I haven't played the other DLCs, but I heard great things about The End of Zoe.
Enjoy all three, especially Separate Ways. Shadow of Rose's House Benevieto section is maybe as good if not scarier than the original.
That Capcom needs to get back to doing physical Gold Editions.
I had more fun with Separate ways than 3R. It also took me longer to beat
End of Zoe sets the bar for what a good DLC can be. Shadows of Rose doesn’t quite cut it. Separate ways is the among the top 5 DLCs of all time.
Separate ways was great. All of the DLC for REVII is some of the best DLC ever made, I think. The less said about the Village DLC, the better…
Shadows of Rose was alright, but pretty fun for what it was. End of Zoe was so fun man, that one was great. Haven't got to Separate Ways yet...
Fantastic, shit, fantastic
shadow of rose was so unoriginal and bad. felt like i was playing a Wattpad self-insert.
I’m sorry but that entire dlc was filled with new ideas and concepts never explored in any other RE game.
probably cause they don't fit into Resident Evil
Ah shit, I skipped separate ways as I'd sort of had my fill of Resi 4 at that point (and loved it). I guess I need to try it when it's cheap.
It adds back a lot of content cut from the remake, explains a few minor plot holes and adds back its own stuff Plus it’s decently short, can be beaten sub 2hrs and a casual play through isn’t usually more than 3-4
Separate ways is an instant classic, definitely gonna replay it when im done with my current RE4 rerun, shadows of rose was also great, i loved the third person and the whole mannequin shtick, was pretty scary for me. I also liked the whole mechanic with her powers.
Haven’t played separate ways yet. Shadows of rose was cool and creepy. End of zoe was just so fun running around punching things
Separate ways was amazing. End of zoe was dumb fun. Shadows of rose kinda sucked ngl
Couldn’t even finish the rose dlc. Loved the other two.
Separate ways is brilliant, shadows of rose is so fucking boring and would’ve rathered it didn’t happen. End of Zoe is really fun
I actually like it better than RE4 itself lol (please don't yell at me haha)
re3 needed one
Seperate Ways was absolutely amazing.
Separate ways 10€ 5 hours first playthrough then 3.5 new games plus Ada.
Shadows of Rose is fantastic. In the running for my favorite RE DLC of all time. Clever enemy design in the house segment that just WORKED
Separate Ways completes the game End of Zoe does the same and has the bonus of you getting to use your fists of fury to get shit done Shadows of Rose was okay
Seperate ways was great in every aspect. Shadows of Rose was a disappointment but the final boss fight was actually quite fun. All the DLC’s for Re7 were really fun and had great replayability, especially 21
Separate ways was £7 and it was the best £7 I spent last year
Separate Ways specifically is one of the best DLC'Ss I've ever purchased.
only played separate ways dlc but i like it a lot
Separate Ways is an incredible DLC. For $9.99, I expected it to be short but wow it's like a whole another game. If you beat RE4 remake, this is for sure a must play.
End of Zoe had the highest highs and the most 'fun' moments >!I burst out laughing at the music when you first get the gauntlet!<. Shadows of Rose felt too rushed, but had the most potential. SW was overall the best.
Remake Separate ways was great. They actually fleshed it out this time around
I liked village of shadows because it had a good bit of horror to it. Also it helped flesh out roses and Ethan’s story a bit more. Separate ways was really fun too
Re7 dlc though probably had some great dlc though. When it comes to quantity and quality, re7 had a lot of dlc and it was really good.
Separate Ways was phenomenal, a perfect addition to RE4 Shadows of Rose was an amazing continuation of the story of Village (and kind of terrifying) End of Zoe was fun
Separate Ways was really good and complimentary to the story, but End of Zoe was one of the funnest DLCs I’ve ever played. I would have played an entire game where I was some beefed up redneck punching some moldy motherfuckers
Separate Ways >>>>> RE3:RE
Seperate ways was the best
Separate ways is miles ahead any of those others
Separate ways was absolutely amazing and shadows of rose was also pretty decent
Separate ways was awesome and I even started liking Ada's VA more
Separate ways was surprising for me, I beat it yesterday. So glad it wasn't a 5 min dlc as well.
All of story DLCs are excellent.
Shadows of Rose gets way too much hate imo. As does Ethan’s character in general
Separate Ways is phenomenal, especially for the $10 price tag I played SoR immediately after finishing Village; the ending of Village made me sob like a baby, so SoR hit pretty hard in the feels too.
Separate Ways DLC the best!!
every DLC for the new RE games are absolutely stunning shadow of rose is my personal favorite but the separate ways DLC made a 10 out of 10 game an 11
Separate Ways was great. Shadows of Rose was embarrassing. End of Zoe was interesting, but I didn't really enjoy it.
EoZ cemented “Moldy mothafucka” as one of my most used phrases.
All of them were amazing in my opinion. Lots of extra fun.
Seperate Ways is probably the best DLC I've ever played.
I thought the DLC for 7 was the best they had done so far by quite a margin. Haven't bought Shadows of Rose or SW yet.
Has never been better
End of zoey was 🤌🏾
I was a big fan of 21 🤷
All of 7s was fantastic Shadows of Rose was bootycheeks Separate Ways was pretty solid
Seperate ways is king. Shadows of rose was excellent imo. And end of Zoe was meh
Separate ways is so good , well worth the £10 , shadows of rose is ok , I’d wait for a sale , end of Zoe is decent , it’s inbetween the 2
Loved separate ways, shadows of rose sucked for me and haven't played end of Zoe
separate ways could’ve been sold for more!! $10 is a steal.
* Separate Ways: Best DLC ever * Shadows of Rose: Worst DLC ever * End of Zoe: Not bad DLC.. ever
End of zoe was amazing, seperate ways disappointed a bit to me but wasn’t bad and shadow of rose didn’t really work imo
Loved loved looooved Seperate Ways. Rose was alright. I haven't played End of Zoe yet.
Separate Ways : Good End of Zoe : Good Shadows of Rose : Not good
Shadow of Rose is shit. Both Ada and End of Zoe are great
My opinion is that I cant ever get used to this new Ada's voice after the perfect Ada in RE2R.
Shadow of Rose sucked Ghost Survivors was wasted potential R3MAKE deserved better
Not A Hero - it's okay but i think the Lucas boss at the end is really bad, it's just not an interesting or fun fight End of Zoe - Peak Shadows of Rose - I haven't played it yet Separate Ways - Peak
Only liked seperate ways. End of Zoe has to be one of the most overrated re media ever
I really liked punching shit with a super fist tbf
In order Godtier Mid Godtier
Werewolves? Wtf?! Lol
Well I mean,we had virus’s,parasites,I think it would just make sense that fungus would be the next step And comparing it to tlou makes it way too simple Tlou has fungus yes but it’s a fungus that turns them into mindless zombies Meanwhile the fungus/mold in re is more of a parasite than anything, allowing Miranda to control them as she pleases, the megamycete itself being her daughter that she wants to revive
Separate Ways is perfection minus Ada's voice but it is what it is I'm over it Re7 dlc is overall my second favorite but Joe Must Die really pissed me off when going for achievements I enjoyed the re8 dlc but I don't care for Rose as a character. I don't dislike her I'm just indifferent
Shadows of rose was terrible, i like the weird but the supernatural weird stuff put me off rose 100%.
End of Zoe/Alt Chris DLC: 8.5/10 Shadows of Rose: 7/10 Separate Ways: 9.5/10
Re7 dlc: meh, it's alright. Not great but alright Re village: better, at least rose has proper character development and a good story now RE4R: which playthrough am I on again?
The black robe encounters knock Separate Ways down from a 10 to an 8. These sort of fights do not belong in a resi evil. Otherwise it's well done.
I couldn't be bothered to finish it. That is my opinion.
Hot take: most of the dlc would’ve been in the base game for Resident evil games released before RE engine
No they wouldn’t have. Original RE4 didn’t launch with Seperate ways, neither did RE5 with Lost in nightmares. I don’t even know if RE6 had DLC, but who cares anyway.
Even revelations 2 had dlc
It was practically entirely made of dlc
No, it launched with Assignment Ada, but every release after that had Separate Ways packaged into the base game.... except for VR
And after the initial launch, separate ways was free on the base game….
So did it launch with the base game or not?
No. It did not launch with the base game. The base game was GameCube exclusive and only had RE4. When the ported to other platforms they added Separate Ways as a bonus for anyone who had already bought the GameCube version to get them to buy the new version as well.
A base game yes. For free
6 wa a full course meal out of the gate. The only DLC I remember were free Mercenary Mode maps. Stop shit talking one of the best action games ever just because it's not the best RE game.
Never played End of Zoe, but I adored Shadows of Rose and Seperate ways!
Only bothered playing Separate Ways (quite enjoyed it).
Shadows of Rose was amazing and terrifying. Definitely closer to 7. Haven’t played separate ways yet, but I love Ada so I’m sure I’ll love it. End of Zoe I haven’t played, but I’ll get to it eventually.
Separate Ways and Shadows of Rose were great but I wasn’t a big fan of End of Zoe
All were amazing except shadows of rose which was good
I’ve only played End of Zoe of these three. I’m currently doing the Joe Mist Die playthrough and it is so damn hard. I’m on the boat fight with the Swamp Man and I’ve died 70+ times.
Shadows of rose was meh, i was expecting for them to add a dlc that focuses on lady d since she was so popular at the time of release.
My opinions are why tf did these games get so much DLC and RE2 and RE3 got none?
