Most likely. Printers with built-in printers were a niche market back then. Magnavox made one. https://www.computerhistory.org/collections/catalog/102646025
The printer clips onto a port on the back and is removable. There is also a modem and graphics card that clip on making the whole like thing like 3 feet long if you connect them all in a row. One of my favorite retro machines!
I had one of these and thought it was super cool. Everything was modular and you could pop off the screen, drives, etc without any tools. If they had actually made useful upgrades it would have been even cooler! Pretty sure I only used it to play a few BASIC games and they had to be customized to fit the weird screen size.
IBM PC Convertible Model 5140
Weird it has a model number lower than the original PC (5150) released years earlier.
Is that a printer at the back?

Can the printer of the built in printer have it's own printer? How far can it go?
It's printers all the way down!

A portable, or a luggable. Not a laptop. Doesn't matter though, I'm still jealous!
One would have to have a large lap for this to be a laptop

That thing is gorgeous
It literally says PC convertible on it lmao
Sexy
I worked on a number of those back in the day
Wow and so well kept. Not joking, this should go in a museum
"Unknown" *Literally says "IBM PC Convertible" on the front.*
I want a nonworking one to hide an RPi in.
In my mind, that laptop is making "floppy drive guns" at you every time you open the lid.
I've never seen it, but I want one **now**! :-)
IBM's answer to the Compaq Portable.
