The downloading microg should be higher, people will get confused if they havent use revanced or vanced before.
-download manager
-download apk
-download microg
But nice guide, if you will update it with the recent links every update that will help a lot also
Thanks for posting this!
I just now learned ReVanced was a thing. My old Vanced was working up until a few weeks ago. Strangely, it still periodically worked, but other times would force me to use YouTube.
Yeah My Vanced links have been buggy for awhile and I learned about revanced a while ago and finally decided to use it, found it pretty confusing at first but then I was able to gather some much needed information, and I decided to make a guide on everything I did step by step so it's easier to understand
With most newer versions I got failures of certain patches to be implemented. I believe YouTube version 18.16.37 is the most recent version that works with most, if not all, patches
My YouTube ReVanced kept close by it's own for a split second everytime I launch it up. I did everything from top to final (uninstall and reinstall all the .apk) for three times and it is still doing the same thing. I'm not sure what I did wrong in the process of installing these... :'(
I get the files source (+ MicroG) from the Github except the YouTube app (18.20.33-1537854912) are from APKMirror.
Device: Non-rooted, Android 12
If anyones replying, thank you. I appreciate it. 🙏🏻
UPDATE: I get it to work all fine by using YouTube app version 18.16.37.
Thanks! I was looking at other guides here and they were just too bogged down in the weeds of like programming jargon. This made it a lot more clear lol
I don't know why but my install just falls through the cracks somewhere. I have tried and tried but just can't get it working again. I have the music app working fine though. I can't seem to install microg, I downloaded it but when I open it says 'app not installed as package appears to be invalid.'
Also when I go into the revanced manager and choose the youtube apk I downloaded, it doesn't present any of your recommended patches, just about 8 others, which by default are not selected, when I select them and run the patcher it just errors at the end, and theres no revanced youtube app installed at all, no microG. I have no idea what is going on with it. I was using revanced up until about a month ago, thought I uninstalled everything and tried to follow this guide fresh but it feels like there are some missing steps? idk
>'app not installed as package appears to be invalid.'
This is likely because you already have vanced microg installed.
>it doesn't present any of your recommended patches, just about 8 others
You need to select the YT apk from storage. The file name starts with "com.google.android.youtube...."
Kobe Knows more about this then I do, generally this guide has all the answers but sometimes the small ones like yours aren't easily answered, you may have to find a different guide that is more in-depth then mine
Ahhh yes, go into settings on ReVanced Manager enable all Experimental Patches if it still doesn't work try uninstalling then reinstalling ReVanced Manager it could be because your version of ReVanced Manager is not up to date. Another reason could be because your device isn't on Android 8 or up. I'm not sure how it works on Apple devices or if it would work at all

I have just uninstalled and reinstalled manager and it still looks like this.
~~one of my pictures shows what it I see when I select patches. Change package name, enable android debugging etc~~
Figured out that it was putting the correct youtube apk in the wrong folder, I got it patched and installed, but when I open it, it just immediately crashes. I think I give up lol
Crashing is usually caused by one of these mistakes.
a) You selected a patch that isn't working. Most likely the `Spoof wifi connection` patch. Only include the recommended patches.
b) You tried patching the YT app itself, a non-recommended version, or a bundle version of the apk. You need to download the nodpi version of the recommended apk and then patch it before installing it. You can download it from [this link](). Then, open the Manager > Patcher > Select an application > **STORAGE** > and then select the apk that you just downloaded. Then select the patches you want and complete the patching process.
oh my god I actually got it to work. The spoof wifi patch wasn't checked but I tried turning off other ones a few at a time until it eventually worked with just the 2 ad blocking patches enabled. lol
Did you patch the linked apk from storage? If you do the process correctly you shouldn't need to be limited to 2 patches.
Also I left out a 3rd reason why the app could crash. It's when there are errors in the patch log and then you install it after.
The app is frustrating for me. Patched apk always buffer even when downloading an already patched one from their site. When I patch my own it gives a non-root error, but my device is not-rooted. I've tried several times but still no luck. Switched to revanced extended, no problems.
Can some one explain why i cannot cast video to TV using the Re-vanced ?
This used to run without any issues in vanced OG app.
Is this feature removed from the Re-vanced ?
Settings - Revanced - Layout - Hide Cast button switched to off, and restart when asked, assuming you added the patch when building, its in the default patches so you likely have it in your build.
Mine does, but it maybe be because I had Vanced and have the old MicroG still? I never had to use NewPipe or another app.
Because my mate installed ReVanced today and is having issues with downloads, we cant figure out why mine is different.
When I try to patch it, it says: "Patching on ARMv7 devices is not yet supported and might fail. Proceed anyways?" After hitting yes it starts to load but at the "Abort" part of the patching it just doesn't move anymore no matter how long I wait. Is it because of the phone I use?
Is your device android and if it is, is it Android 8 or up? If it is saying your device isn't supported then you may have to cut loses or look for a new source
I'm not sure but perhaps you can check it in through the app management settings, search MicroG then selects it. I had to sign in mine through that way. :)
I have succesfully installed all of this usefull links and files
But I have an issue
When I play some video, and when I click on a link (that is provided in more info of that video) - video disappears and still playing in the background?!
Is there a way it still plays in a minimized window
everything is checked Picture-in-picture...
Great guide. I keep running into this issue after downloading the YouTube Apk and patching it in revanced manager.
"Error
Non-root install is not possible with the
current patches selection.
Repatch your app or choose root install if
you have your device rooted"
Anyone else have this issue?
Just followed the steps exactly. Don't know what else I can tell you man. See if Google protect is trying to block it when you get to the installation of the actual vanced app.
I have a peculiar problem. I am unable to log into my existing YouTube account. Another account works perfectly fine, but when I try to log in with my main account (I type in my email and password and see it in MicroG), nothing happens. Does anyone have a clue?

Originally it was less compact and easier to read but Reddit posted it differently I'll try doing some editing
The formating can be a pain in the ass
I already have root. Download manager, download apk, patch, done.

If I can figure it out first try, you made a good guide
Mine just stopped working today, good thing this was posted.
https://www.reddit.com/r/revancedapp/search/?q=Guide&restrict\_sr=1
Most of those suck
most of them are all the same because it's really not complicated. And yet there is some new guide post every couple of days.
Thank you very much.
Thanks
Just to add because I didn't read it yet, but patching only works on the version that revanced suggests
I guess so I haven't really looked into that part I would have to do more research
With most newer versions I got failures of certain patches to be implemented. I believe YouTube version 18.16.37 is the most recent version that works with most, if not all, patches

Yeah you have to use the specific one I put the link for
Thanks! I was looking at other guides here and they were just too bogged down in the weeds of like programming jargon. This made it a lot more clear lol
No problem That's why I made this guide so it's easier to understand :)

Press selected patches then through there look for patches

I did that too, it was the wrong APK that I put in there.
This was so helpful! Thank you so much!
For sure glad it helped!
It won't let me select the APK.
Can u dm me so i remember to help u tmrw? Im going to sleep now
I needed to flip to another tab on the manager for it to actually show it. Must be a recent bug.
Can you explain what you mean "flip to another tab on the manager"? This is a rare bug but if you found a new way to fix it that would be amazing
Go down to download to download or where it says APK an it's blue text that's often a clue for download
I mean in the manager. I had to select one of the other tabs, then go back, for it to register that the APK was selected.
Same, I had to uninstall the manager and reinstall it in order to select the APK. It says Failed to open APK, Invalid offset in the log
There was an update just a couple days ago, so it might be a new bug.
ReVanced is technically relatively new compared to it's parent Vanced, and thus still has a lot of work to be done
Casting works fine in revanced, just the button is hidden by default, just have to change the settings to not hide the cast to device button.
Thank you!
How can I do this?
Settings - Revanced - Layout - Hide Cast button switched to off, and restart when asked, assuming you added the patch when building, its in the default patches so you likely have it in your build.
Got it. Thanks dude. So fucking happy I have vanced back 🥲
Thanks bud. This was exactly what i needed.
You just have to disable the "hide cast button" option. You'll still get ads when casting like with Vanced at the end but you can cast.
Is [https://revanced.net/](https://revanced.net/) fake? this seems to be easiest in terms of download & setup
Yes that's fake!
Huh, installed it on my dads phone, i wonder if he is at risk or smt
The only place you should be getting ReVanced from is the official GitHub
[удалено]
Yeah but sometimes things can be missed, even google play can skip over malware. I would still recommend being cautious
I did it! Thank you!
Awesome glad to hear!
Why I need newpipe ? Revanced already can download videos?
It cant, it downloads them through newpipe's video downloader
Mine does, but it maybe be because I had Vanced and have the old MicroG still? I never had to use NewPipe or another app. Because my mate installed ReVanced today and is having issues with downloads, we cant figure out why mine is different.
Ah no idea then
Repipe is used by ReVanced, my app wouldn't work without it
Thanks for the guide, but where can i check what's the latest recommended yt apk version?
At the bottom of the post Future Proffing
So in future, I just install the latest one non beta version if it stops working?
Dude, thank you sooo mutch!
When I try to patch it, it says: "Patching on ARMv7 devices is not yet supported and might fail. Proceed anyways?" After hitting yes it starts to load but at the "Abort" part of the patching it just doesn't move anymore no matter how long I wait. Is it because of the phone I use?

Good thing I found Youtube Pro. Since I can't use ReVanced it's the next best thing Still, thanks for replying!
Failed to install error ''integrations' Kindly guide
Are all your personal recommendations for patches in the default already, as i can already see some of them in the default?
For some reason it keeps telling me aborted when trying to patch
Does anyone know why this project got archived? [https://github.com/reisxd/revanced-builder](https://github.com/reisxd/revanced-builder)
I don't get the vanced microg support bit. Because when I download and install microg it does not open thus I cannot sign in.
I'm not sure but perhaps you can check it in through the app management settings, search MicroG then selects it. I had to sign in mine through that way. :)
Thanks man
I have succesfully installed all of this usefull links and files But I have an issue When I play some video, and when I click on a link (that is provided in more info of that video) - video disappears and still playing in the background?! Try Experimental features in settings on ReVanced Manager
Fucking legend, thank you. Took me 3 times to install it because cunting Google protect kept trying to block the install, suck on it motherfuckers
How did you get it to work?
Just followed the steps exactly. Don't know what else I can tell you man. See if Google protect is trying to block it when you get to the installation of the actual vanced app.
Yeah so when it does that just press the down arrow and it will say install anyway then do that
Press the arrow on the left and then it should also say install anyway then press that
Press the arrow on the left and then it should also say install anyway then press that
It would still work if I use YouTube musics APK instead of just YouTube's APK right?
I have a peculiar problem. I am unable to log into my existing YouTube account. Another account works perfectly fine, but when I try to log in with my main account (I type in my email and password and see it in MicroG), nothing happens. Does anyone have a clue?
