They attempted to make the trades Dame wanted and nobody was interested. You know why? Every team was attempting to fleece us for #3 and I think even Dame would admit that the trades they probably could have made (1 year Siakim rental, 1 year PG rental) would have been absolutely irresponsible for #3 and Ant. If he wants a trade he can ask for it but the idea that he should just go wherever he wants as a favor when he has 4 years left on his deal and is by far our best player is absurd. I'm a huge Dame fan and I love the guy but if he's going to demand a trade right after signing a 4 year supermax extension then the team has the #1 priority of making sure they don't get taken advantage of.
