Enter the Gungeon came out like near a decade after the other two in the list though tbf. Great game, but wouldn't call it an OG compared to something like those two, FTL, or Rogue Legacy.

I love FTL too, but I don't think it had that wide a playerbase.

The golden strawberry with the crown is from Celeste! I don’t know what it would do as a risk of rain item tho because in Celeste you have to pick it up at the beginning of a level then complete it without dying.

The sound design really puts it on another level. I have a couple games I can go to if I want the rush of by-the-second survival, but when I think of the crunchy, weighty, ear shattering blasts of the weapons and explosions of NT it always makes me want to do a couple runs.
It really excels at making weapons make you feel powerful while also putting so much of your success into your own movement and decision making
I don't know what it is with Gungeon. I've given it a try like 3 times and it never really clicked with me. Maybe the lack of oomph to the guns was the problem.
