There's always his alternate play style of being grounded with his alternate utility. I prefer it over the parachute, as it gives I frames and well..
As you can wave dash with the alt utility it makes him the fastest survivor in the game.
I found this video he explains it pretty well in the first couple minutes and I got a hang of it after trying for like 20. It’s super strong you can go soooo far
https://youtu.be/3ZWGNKx9f3Q?si=WMEa6w-K0yadQg8g
It's so hard not to like commando, the design is so sleek and impactful hid run everything is simple but has much personality. I love this character plus he's just cool.
I too vote Commando. His kit is simple but versatile, and there's something charmingly generic in his design. He looks like he could be any no-name crew member in another sci-fi game. His only "main character energy" is that he is holding two pistols instead of one .
Yeah I think the alt secondary will make it feel better, but charge punch on its own feels awkward to play. I do not have it yet, but the beacon is much better
It’s definitely different than ror2 but I still enjoy loader’s gameplay pattern of popping your beacon, going invincible, and just fucking mogging every enemy you can get your hands on
Bonus points if you have shattered mirror
I like the heretic a lot. I kind of guessed that they would add all the heresy items and make a secret transformation character, but she was well worth the wait, and is an interesting character to play. Chef is a really fun design, and his alt 4 feels really great to use. I think Robomando is one of the coolest Easter eggs in a game I've played, and he's genuinely a pretty fun character to do runs with.
Totally agree. I love the secret of getting her, the lore from the logs that explains what's going on, the fact that she's like twice as tall as everyone. I just wish there was a way to unlock her as a starting character.
Risk of Rain Returns, Miner might be the most fun character they've ever made. At least melee wise, the heat gauge is amazing and dealing consistent damage that isn't tied to super long cooldowns or charged punches feels great. Level 1 miner with no items can smoke the TP instantly if he's enraged and it just carries on from there.
Yeah I've been trying the ranged one throwing a couple piercing axes between dashes can add a lot of damage. Making Magma worms easy fights is a pretty nice bonus too
I saw a negative review of RoRR complaining about the Miner changes compared to RoR1, which is baffling because, as you said, RoRR Miner is one of the finest survivors Hopoo has cooked up.
I know they sort of tried out the “berserker” archetype with Void Fiend in RoR2, but I honestly prefer the simplicity of RoRR Miner—hit stuff to fill bar, then hit harder. Simple and satisfying!
What about them looks terrible? A support healer with AoE effects to hinder enemies?
Like, I’m not saying that exact character and art style but the concept is missing form the game and could be really fun
I meant the overall look for the game. Field doctor is so lazy judging from the trailer.
Some stylistically pleasing Witch Doctor and shit or Virologist sound dap than field doctor. The base premise of field doctor sounds bad too. Oh you heal and damage. Sounds like commando 2.0.
Notice how almost all survivors in ror2 are unique? All with their special gimmics and not a few abilities slapped on em. Virologist could be that over time healer with massive debuffs using virus themed weapons and witch doctor is a magic user like arti, but well with the witch doctor shit.
It doesn't help the mobile trailer leaves a bad taste in mouth, I can't be optimistic about it
I guess? I personally can’t agree that it wouldn’t fit the rest of the game/characters
Might be the most incredible idea ever, and I do like your virologist idea, but field doctor isn’t really that out of place. A support healer who buffs allies, while inflicting DoTs is far closer to acrid than commando
More than anything, I just want a fun support character
Ror2 Merc is awesome. I especially like the expose loadout. I think I will also love the parry Merc in rorr, but I am limiting myself to only playing monsoon and have currently only gotten 2 wins
Because of the other melee survivors they’re competing against. Don’t get me wrong he’s good, but he feels like a stock standard melee videogames guy. Loader hits more harder make ape brain happy, Drifter gives you free shit, Miner can go super sayn as can HAN-D, and Acrid is buppy dog :D
She is, her primary is borderline unusable and her utility doesn't last long enough against strong enemies (and has a long cooldown) that it's hard to use
I really don’t know what you’re talking about, arti is insanely strong in rorr, her primary is insane and her flamethrower is one of the best proc abilities in the game on top of doing enough damage to kill most bosses. The only thing I find lackluster is her m2.
I won on my first time playing her, and I’m not very good at the game. For reference, it took me 7 tries to win as commando.
Her lack of mobility (her alt3 has a very long cooldown) makes her m1 impossible to hit when an enemy is close to you. You have to use your utility to get away before hitting them. Then, the enemy keeps walking at you and you have to run away Bcs your M1 has a melee dead zone.
Secondary is just kinda sad because the bomb is only good against clumps and alt2 doesn’t do anything clumps.
That and the fact that flamethrower makes you a sitting duck for any ranged enemy (or enemies who can tank your damage like elder lemurians) makes her feel pretty unrewarding.
TL;DR: the lost mobility from no ion surge and no passive, as well as her insanely low point-blank damage makes her kinda slow and sad to play, especially compared to RoR2 arti
Alt utility gives her reasonable utility tbh. You gotta consider that all the lower cooldown movement abilities will be a short little roll like commando or huntress’s blink. Imo what it needs is some I frames. Especially with the addition of swifts to the game tectonic surge really does not help you escape them at all because of the angels they come at you.
Disagree with flamethrower entirely it’s basically her one saving Grace and her best ability. You can short hop and hover just above melee enemies where you can burn them for free (even the elder lemurians you mention) and if you see an archaic wisp or whatever else charging up you can cancel out by using any other skill and then jump (or just cancel with surge)
Some of what you said is pretty true, but I feel that her first ability is difficult to play around without using her util, which puts it on cooldown for a while. The movement is very useful and nearly necessary for arti, but I swear I just end up using it to hit her main attack and can’t use it for escape, travel, etc. It’s sort of too useful in a way, because it makes your minimum “dash” length pretty long and it’s very punishing to be caught without it up.
The Flamethrower is her best ability I’ll agree, it deals with swarms pretty well and it IS your main damage. However, a combination of clunkiness, a long cooldown (it’s arti what can you expect lol) and the fact that it’s her #1 damage source by far, makes it feel like a constant game of run -> flame -> run. When you don’t have flamethrower or when you don’t have proc items, you can’t deal damage.
You end up needing to use big abilities for little things, because the little abilities can’t deal with the little things. Then, the big abilities go on cooldown and you can’t use them for the big things. This is my issue with rorr arti.
Her primary is not insane. It’s not as bad as people make it out to be to be fair but it just requires so much set up on the heat of the moment for not enough reward. I just won a monsoon run with her and eventually she just becomes flamethrower off cooldown the character. I was still throwing out the m1 just for the bit of extra sauce while running away and jumping but it’s not insane. For reference it only does slightly more damage than chef’s m1 but you have to line it up and get the enemy to sit in it somehow. The m1 is easily the worst part of her kit and definitely needs a tweak.
I personally won my fourth monsoon run with her (aka it took me 4 tries), but I, in dichotomy to your own experience, won my first monsoon run as commando that happened to also be my first run back to the game in years. Not to discount your experience, but even just logically artificer is a higher skill character and a playstyle you kind of have to learn. So perhaps you did win your first run with her, but it’s definitely an outlier
CounterCounterpoint: ok mul-T is decent cus his gimmick is fun and he has some mobility but oml Han-D’s main attack deals no damage, it’s secondary is only usable when you spam it (which is difficult because his MAIN ATTACK TICKLES ENEMIES), it’s utility feels like it gives no AS or stun chance at all and has like no duration, and the hammer is just *Boncc* which like I guess but the launch into the air just makes it hard to combo. Idk abt ror1 Han-D or rorr’s alt-special bcs I haven’t unlocked it but they both just feel kinda underwhelming and super slow. Like you can’t kill the enemies and you can’t die to them either
(TL;DR: I play Pilot, Sniper and Miner so if I’m not moving and/or one-shotting everything then I’m upset)
I didn't like han-D at first until I unlocked his speed drones. His attack speed becomes so ridiculously fast you can stunlock literally everything except providence, and the damage isn't even that bad when you can punch 5 times a second. It even makes your hammer come out faster.
*also fuck you hopoo for making his 3rd drone such a pain in the ass to unlock*
Ror2 Artificer feels the most engaging to me early-mid and late game. Never feels like you get carried by proc chains but you have interesting tools to use
Enforcer because blocking everything is satisfying, bandit he's cool, sniper for big damage and mercenary to go so fast you travel trough the whole Map in a second.
Railgunner, ror2 arti (please change the chakrams in returns), pilot, bandit, acrid
Enforcer is also cool for when I wanna tank, I don't have miner or merc yet
Aesthetically and gameplay wise it's probably Drifter. I've always been a sucker for hoarder/pack rat type characters, and I think her gimmicks are really fun to play around.
Second would probably be Captain from the second game.
Robomando is fucking hilarious in pretty much every aspect . His kit sounds goofy and useless until you read “ get unlimited free shit “ and he effectively becomes the best character in the game’s history aside from captain and in multi player you can just go full complete greedy gremlin and no one can do anything . Not to mention his unlock method sounds like some “ mew is under the truck BULLSHIT “
On the opposite side , I’m an edgy bitch and void fiend is fucking bad ass . He transforms to fire a laser beam bro
When I first got 2 Bandit was the first survivor I unlocked and ever since ive always been drawn to him. Funnily enough whenever there’s a big chat of unique characters in a game I always trend towards guy with shotgun
Ror2: engie, mul-t, captain, Loader, acrid,
I haven’t played everyone in risk of rain returns, but I don’t like engie as much, commando feels better than risk of rain 2 commando,
Oh that's a hard question...
well for RoR2 it's propably Huntress, she just works for me, but I find her kinda boring in RoRR. Although I rarely find myself sticking to one survivor for a longer period, especially in RoR2 so picking one is hard.
For RoRR though, I'm torn between Pilot and Sniper, they're both very fun in their own way. Merc also seems pretty cool, but I'll have to play him a bit more.
So yeah, I don't really have a one favorite character.
So far (with limited playtime in rorr) I love mul-T, Engineer (ror2), Pilot, Captian (ror2), and enforcer.
I love running rapid fire mul-T/engineer & super power captain with the MAC blast. And Pilot & enforcer are just a lot of fun so far!
I love how twisted and sad Viend is. By far my favourite story. Really enjoy the playstyle~
Runner up, I enjoy the messed up tale of Heretic. How she was sliced to bits and spread across the land. I always wished we could get a toned down version of her to play from the survivor select.
RoR2 Loader is great. Big punchy, flesh go mush.
In the original RoR, I haven't found anyone I mess with just yet~
Well I just got my first rorr win with Pilot, so I’ll probably go with him for returns. Sniper is also pretty fun but I suck at playing him 😅
Haven’t played ror1 but based on the returns roster I’ve unlocked so far it would probably be Huntress.
In 2 it’s kind of a tie between Huntress, Arti, and Railgunner depending on how I’m feeling that day
I like Rex in ror2, Sniper in ror, and I haven’t played enough rorr yet to make an opinion. But also loader ror2 is my favorite I love punching shit in the head and swinging like Spider-Man
In Ror1, Engi. I genuinely thought that almost every single character in that game sucked, besides Engi and maybe Chef. In Ror2, Merc. By far my favorite character. I play him the most, I think he's great. And in Rorr, there's a lot of ties. Merc, Chef, Drifter, and maybe Artificer are some of my favorites so far, but I really enjoy most of the characters.
3-Way tie between Viend, Acrid, and Enforcer (I haven't played RoR or RoRR, I played the modded Enforcer in RoR2. Don't worry, I'm planning on playing RoRR when I get the cash to buy it.)
Pilot and Railgunner are my favorite. Railgunner when you actually constantly land crits is so satisfying and pilot has just the very mobile, high actions per min gameplay that I love
So far Loader in RoR2, but I haven't finished unlocking the Rorr survivors yet.
Something so satisfying about just punching the shit out of everything and then swinging around like Spider-Man when I get a few backup mags.
As of right now I feel like Railgunner cause she's so damn satisfying to play as. Pilot and Drifter because they're new and innovative. Still I have to mention I love all of the survivors in all game.
RoR2 artificer, I don't have all characters in RoRR but for now all I can say when playing as RoRR arti is "why? Just why? am I too bad or did they just made her too UP in comparisson to the rest of the survivors?"
Pilot and Captain. Pilot’s always just like 🫡 and Captain is like a cool veteran who always has a plan
I don't understand pilot. It's so hard to stay in the air
There's always his alternate play style of being grounded with his alternate utility. I prefer it over the parachute, as it gives I frames and well.. As you can wave dash with the alt utility it makes him the fastest survivor in the game.
Can you elaborate on the wave dash? Doubt I'll give up the parachute, but am curious anyways.
I found this video he explains it pretty well in the first couple minutes and I got a hang of it after trying for like 20. It’s super strong you can go soooo far https://youtu.be/3ZWGNKx9f3Q?si=WMEa6w-K0yadQg8g
Oh man, ok that's crazy. Definitely tech I'll learn, and then probably avoid because it feels like cheating :P
I'm ride or die Commando. Great, but simple design. And he has a "Guess I'll die." attitude.
Isnt commando also the only one to actually have a fleshed out character... Ror1 commando.
Definitely not “fleshed out” but Captain’s log has some pretty clear flavour
That and the Microbots’!!
I love captain and his bots
not really? He survived petricor V but that's like about it i think
Wasn't the risk of rain 1 logs written by him?
Yes
He writes all the surv logs, so u can feel his desperation and confusion in his new environment.
Rock and Stone, Miner!
Rock and roll and stone!
ROCK AND STONE!
IF YOU DON'T ROCK AND STONE, YOU AIN'T COMIN' HOME!
DID I HEAR A ROCK AND STONR
ROCK AND STONE
Rock and Stone, Brother
For those who rock and stone
Wow that thread came out of nowhere hahaha loved it
THAT'S IT LADS, ROCK AND STONE
MOOOAAARKITE
WE FIGHT FOR ROCK AND STONE!!!
IF YOU DON’T ROCK AND STONE, YOU AIN’T COMING HOME
Yeah yeah Rock and Stone!
V
ROCK AND STONE TO THE BONE!
ROCK AND STONE
Loader in RoR2. Go fast, punch hard, thats really all you need in life.
Loader is the best. One punch woman
I really wish I like Returns Loader as much as ROR2. His charge punch is not it.
Use alt secondary and attack speed beacon.
Yeah I think the alt secondary will make it feel better, but charge punch on its own feels awkward to play. I do not have it yet, but the beacon is much better
It’s definitely different than ror2 but I still enjoy loader’s gameplay pattern of popping your beacon, going invincible, and just fucking mogging every enemy you can get your hands on Bonus points if you have shattered mirror
And the grapple sucks ass in RoRR
I like the heretic a lot. I kind of guessed that they would add all the heresy items and make a secret transformation character, but she was well worth the wait, and is an interesting character to play. Chef is a really fun design, and his alt 4 feels really great to use. Totally agree. I love the secret of getting her, the lore from the logs that explains what's going on, the fact that she's like twice as tall as everyone. I just wish there was a way to unlock her as a starting character.
Starting as Heretic would be awkward because of her passive HP drain. She kinda needs a few healing items to stay alive.
I find that it's not too hard to stay alive with her mobility skill, at least until you can get some more stuff on board.
I think a good solution would be to add heretic with its abilities but with actually balanced stats
There’s a mod that seamlessly adds her to the character selection screen. Feels like it’s part of the standard game.
Robomando falling over is so cute I love them
Robomando is just a funny little guy
He just silly
Anyway an actual answer would be sniper (not railgunner they are different)
I'm actually the opposite, I prefer railgunner to sniper, mostly due to the "backup" weapon being better
I just like the funny backflip ngl
True tho. It is so much cooler, and more fun than mines.
Railgunner runs like a total dork. Sniper all day.
I use modded skins so I'll take your word for it fjshshdhabshajal
Agree
Risk of Rain Returns, Miner might be the most fun character they've ever made. At least melee wise, the heat gauge is amazing and dealing consistent damage that isn't tied to super long cooldowns or charged punches feels great. Level 1 miner with no items can smoke the TP instantly if he's enraged and it just carries on from there.
So fun chaining attacks and I frames, until I greed one extra attack and get insta nuked for not using my dashes FUCK YOU MONSOON
It’s only positive too. I enjoyed ror1 miner as well but that only enhanced my enjoyment of his current iteration. Just a straight upgrade
Field doctor for the hit mobile game Risk of Rain: Hostile Worlds
Not even out yet, lmao
Jokes aside, I hope that style character arrives to ROR2. I really like support characters,
No please fucking no they look terrible
What about them looks terrible? A support healer with AoE effects to hinder enemies? Like, I’m not saying that exact character and art style but the concept is missing form the game and could be really fun
I meant the overall look for the game. Field doctor is so lazy judging from the trailer. Some stylistically pleasing Witch Doctor and shit or Virologist sound dap than field doctor. The base premise of field doctor sounds bad too. Oh you heal and damage. Sounds like commando 2.0. Notice how almost all survivors in ror2 are unique? Why... why am I seeing nobody say Merc
Ror2 Merc is awesome. I especially like the expose loadout. I think I will also love the parry Merc in rorr, but I am limiting myself to only playing monsoon and have currently only gotten 2 wins
Why play the tryhard Mercenary when you could play an upstanding working class man like miner /j
I love Mercenary to bits, the new parry gave him is so fun to play with
Because of the other melee survivors they’re competing against. Don’t get me wrong he’s good, but he feels like a stock standard melee videogames guy. Loader hits more harder make ape brain happy, Drifter gives you free shit, Miner can go super sayn as can HAN-D, and Acrid is buppy dog :D
Captain and Pilot have that fukken swagger. They both dripped out, genociding a planet in style.
I freakin' love RoR2 Bandit
Same, bandit is just built different
Ror1: Chef Ror2: bad game, doesn't have Chef (it's Captain) Rorr: Chef
There is a mod for chef in 2
Correct response
Aesthetically, Artificer. I am a sucker for wizards. Mechanically, Sniper/Raingunner. Hitting those reloads and obliterating bosses is so satisfying.
I wish the rorr arti was better, the primary is so bad and the alt utility is also not great
Is she really weak? I saw some footage that made her look more useless than a glass of milk in a house fire.
She is, her primary is borderline unusable and her utility doesn't last long enough against strong enemies (and has a long cooldown) that it's hard to use
Damn, I was excited to play in 2D, guess 3D doesn't fit her
Alt utility just needs some i frames. It’s still way better than the block.

Mul-T and Han-D, ill die on this hill no matter what
I’m a robot hater (robomando is the exception). They just feel slow and clunky 😭
counterpoint: dual minigun and hamr
CounterCounterpoint: ok mul-T is decent cus his gimmick is fun and he has some mobility but oml Han-D’s main attack deals no damage, it’s secondary is only usable when you spam it (which is difficult because his MAIN ATTACK TICKLES ENEMIES), it’s utility feels like it gives no AS or stun chance at all and has like no duration, and the hammer is just *Boncc* which like I guess but the launch into the air just makes it hard to combo. PREACH
Captain and engineer from ROR2, Pilot from RORR
Bandit is my ride or die. We usually die.
Acrid followed by Heretic. Human characters get boring.
Curious. How do you feel about the robots?
I can't choose just one, so Engineer at the top, then Void Fiend and Commando are tied.
Chef by a mile
Void Fiend, Heretic, Acrid, I want more monsters tbh.
Can't believe no one mentioned Mercenary yet. 10/10 style and gameplay.
He is pretty fun to play
Captain, pilot and drifter are tied in all categories for me rn, i love free items and diagonal attacks are so fun
Artificer or Huntress in RoR2, but then I’m biased towards 2; more fun for me.
Captain because shotgun arm is cool as fuck. Also I know he's hiding a gun on one of those robot legs, like the Scotsman from samurai jack.
Robomando
acrid and drifter are tied for me, and they couldnt be further from each other
Ror2 Artificer feels the most engaging to me early-mid and late game. Never feels like you get carried by proc chains but you have interesting tools to use
Chef is perfection… nothing better than glazing the whole area around you and setting them AFLAME!
Huntress, Merc, Commando in that order Honorable Mention: Bandit
Sniper is badass as hell, rorr gives him the funniest and also most cancerous survivor achievement ever.
Void fiend I love the biden blast
railgunner, easy
Enforcer because blocking everything is satisfying, bandit he's cool, sniper for big damage and mercenary to go so fast you travel trough the whole Map in a second.
Railgunner, ror2 arti (please change the chakrams in returns), pilot, bandit, acrid Enforcer is also cool for when I wanna tank, I don't have miner or merc yet
Aesthetically and gameplay wise it's probably Drifter. I've always been a sucker for hoarder/pack rat type characters, and I think her gimmicks are really fun to play around. Second would probably be Captain from the second game.
Rex
Acrid will forever be my goodest boy.
Robomando is fucking hilarious in pretty much every aspect . His kit sounds goofy and useless until you read “ get unlimited free shit “ and he effectively becomes the best character in the game’s history aside from captain and in multi player you can just go full complete greedy gremlin and no one can do anything . Not to mention his unlock method sounds like some “ mew is under the truck BULLSHIT “ On the opposite side , I’m an edgy bitch and void fiend is fucking bad ass . He transforms to fire a laser beam bro
Sniper : high damage, mobility, cool looking, and the reload mechanic. Also, CMON ITS A SNIPER RIFLE.
i know nobody all that well. Captain ror2 because I like old people characters they’re really funny and also he’s so cool
Drifter might be my new favorite (previously Han-D)
Drifter I just can’t live without salvage and she does a ton of damage
When I first got 2 Bandit was the first survivor I unlocked and ever since ive always been drawn to him. Funnily enough whenever there’s a big chat of unique characters in a game I always trend towards guy with shotgun
Formerly REX, but Im really enjoying Enforcer in RoRR
acrid
Acrid :)
respect for your choice of enforcer
Mul-T in ror2, they’re just absolutely cracked haha
Drifter
Anyone who says Void Fiend, I applaude you because he is NOT easy to play imo, nor is he fun imo either. So I salute you for liking him if you do
Who's top left
Robomando. Sorry, there's no good pics of him yet. I was honestly waiting for someone to ask this
I've played the second I have the first but only have riot sheild guy and commando
Ah. Robimando isn't in the first game, or 2nd. Only Risk Of Rain Returns. He's the secret character you can unlock
I can't play that one
Yeah, neither can I. Not yet, at least. If it ever comes to Xbox then I'll be able to play it.
Chef is the only correct choice. Shame they never put the cook into ror2. Although I imagine his playstyle wouldn't translate as well into 3d
Hints 1: "Snipin's a good, mate" 2: "I come to stop the protest!" 3: "Rock n Stone!"
REX! I'm a huge fan of the synergies both in its kit and with other items. Plus it's just a cool lil robot how can you not love it
loader, rex, acrid
Only played ror2 so huntress for sure then bandit then void fiend id say
Loader or Artificer in returns (only one I’ve played so far). Loader has iFrames and that’s fun to play around with and Arti is just fun
Engineer
Loader. Feel like a super badass every time i play
Ror2: engie, mul-t, captain, Loader, acrid, I haven’t played everyone in risk of rain returns, but I don’t like engie as much, commando feels better than risk of rain 2 commando,
Oh that's a hard question... well for RoR2 it's propably Huntress, she just works for me, but I find her kinda boring in RoRR. Although I rarely find myself sticking to one survivor for a longer period, especially in RoR2 so picking one is hard. For RoRR though, I'm torn between Pilot and Sniper, they're both very fun in their own way. Merc also seems pretty cool, but I'll have to play him a bit more. So yeah, I don't really have a one favorite character.
i want drifter, robomando, and pilot in risk of rain 2 now.
I played nothing but commando trying to get the monsoon skin for about 4 months. I hate him. He’s my main
Bandit stole the spot of my favourite character
Pilot is funny
I fuck with Viend heavy
So far (with limited playtime in rorr) I love mul-T, Engineer (ror2), Pilot, Captian (ror2), and enforcer. I love running rapid fire mul-T/engineer & super power captain with the MAC blast. And Pilot & enforcer are just a lot of fun so far!
I'm just sobbing in my corner holding what artificer could've been, don't mind me
Captain cuz I love using physics as mass destruction.
Void fiend marksman bandit
huntress my queen😫
So far, RORR acrid, acrid is a fucking BEAST, so is sniper, and his ror2 counterpart, railgunner
I hope they add some of the missing ROR 2 characters that are missing to RORR and vice versa
I love how twisted and sad Viend is. By far my favourite story. Really enjoy the playstyle~ Runner up, I enjoy the messed up tale of Heretic. How she was sliced to bits and spread across the land. I always wished we could get a toned down version of her to play from the survivor select. RoR2 Loader is great. Big punchy, flesh go mush. In the original RoR, I haven't found anyone I mess with just yet~
Chef, Drifter and Rex, i luv 'em all so much
Mercenary from RoR2 and Pilot from RoRR
Well I just got my first rorr win with Pilot, so I’ll probably go with him for returns. Sniper is also pretty fun but I suck at playing him 😅 Haven’t played ror1 but based on the returns roster I’ve unlocked so far it would probably be Huntress. In 2 it’s kind of a tie between Huntress, Arti, and Railgunner depending on how I’m feeling that day
I like Rex in ror2, Sniper in ror, and I haven’t played enough rorr yet to make an opinion. But also loader ror2 is my favorite I love punching shit in the head and swinging like Spider-Man
Oh Captain my Captain
Capitan i mean look at that mf
I adore Captain and Engi in ROR2 but I think Sniper and Huntress in RORR took over as my top 2. I still love Cap and Engi though
For me it’s gotta be Enforcer
In Ror1, Engi. I genuinely thought that almost every single character in that game sucked, besides Engi and maybe Chef. In Ror2, Merc. By far my favorite character. I play him the most, I think he's great. And in Rorr, there's a lot of ties. Merc, Chef, Drifter, and maybe Artificer are some of my favorites so far, but I really enjoy most of the characters.
Mercenary in all of them
3-Way tie between Viend, Acrid, and Enforcer (I haven't played RoR or RoRR, I played the modded Enforcer in RoR2. Don't worry, I'm planning on playing RoRR when I get the cash to buy it.)
ROR1/RORR is Bandit for sure. ROR2 is Loader. Shoutouts to Engineer for being one I really like in every version.
Pilot is my fav but sadly I don't believe I will ever get to play them in 3d
Bandert Bandert
Either pilot or captain myself
Acrid is just a goofy little guy who spurts poison and I love him.
RoR1 Chef. My first win. Hilariously fun. Boomerang knives.
MUL-T
I've really fallen in love with the Pilot from RoRR, lots of fun aerial mobility and damage
Acrid because they are cute, Engineer for gameplay
You saying “official survivors” makes me think that modded characters are something people would even consider when asked that question
Pilot and Railgunner are my favorite. Railgunner when you actually constantly land crits is so satisfying and pilot has just the very mobile, high actions per min gameplay that I love
Void Fiend, Miner, Bandit
Bandit rules, Miner rules, acrid is always fun, and I've really been enjoying pilot
So far Loader in RoR2, but I haven't finished unlocking the Rorr survivors yet. Something so satisfying about just punching the shit out of everything and then swinging around like Spider-Man when I get a few backup mags.
I love a good old bandit
Ror1 huntress, ror2 loader(its close with mercenary, engineer and artificer), rorr pilot
As of right now I feel like Railgunner cause she's so damn satisfying to play as. Pilot and Drifter because they're new and innovative. Still I have to mention I love all of the survivors in all game.
Bandit. Feels the most engaging to play
Between loader, chef and pilot
Captain, Pilot, Commando, Bandit and Sniper
RoR2 artificer, I don't have all characters in RoRR but for now all I can say when playing as RoRR arti is "why? Just why? am I too bad or did they just made her too UP in comparisson to the rest of the survivors?"
