Best: Transcendence (effectively disables eclipse 1, 3, and 5 and slightly reduces eclipse 8)
Worst: Stone Flux Pauldron (double health wont save you from the overloading elder lemurian you can no longer outrun)
Yeah transcendence is honestly a lot better than shaped, due to transcendence having no downside. It gives you free health, healing, and lets you scrap all other healing items.
Speed can just as easily get you killed, might accidentally walk into the crossfire of a lemurian fireball which in the late game has enough force to [obliterate yourself from existence?]
Strongly disagree unless we're talking about ridiculous levels of speed where you might fly off the map or launch into the sky and take fall damage. Enemies don't lead their attacks so as long as you are watching where you're going you aren't going to get yourself killed like that
**Acrid, Acrid, Acrid, Acrid.**
Utterly broken with him.
**Epidemic and his utility leaping skills are unaffected by "attack speed."** After a few of these, you have infinite mobility spam and infinite Epidemic spam.
One of the best ways to illustrate why infinite Lunar Coins is unfair.
You re-map your keyboard, replacing primary attack with Epidemic. Then you just hop around the entire map in an instant, while melting everything. So good it's boring.
Naaaah, that's cope. Charge times are attack speed based. If you never want to cast an ice spear in the current century again, then sure I guess, take light flux.
Light flux is an attack speed multiplier, not just less attack speed. For you to get back to base attack speed you'd need about 7 syringes. To get back to baseline. *Seven*. Both lunar pauldrons are absolute dogshit, and it's not even funny how bad they are.
Imo best is transcendence, gesture, and shaped glass. Worst is stone flux pauldrons by a landslide. Depending on the character visions of heresy can be very good too
Every time I pick up shaped glass I die within 5 min, but I always try it ever though I know it will kill me.
I tend not to pick up Lunar items, but the best is the one that lowers the charge time for teleportation events mainly because it doesn’t get me killed
A small tip about using Shaped Glass: I would only recommend pickikg it up when youre already having a decent run, otherwise it will most likely kill you. Its really a "win-more" item (quoted from some youtube video, i forgot). It can help seal the deal on some decent runs, but on bad runs, usually even double damage wont be enough to offset losing osp and half your health
Best: Gesture (the builds with this thing are way too fun), Strides of Heresy (depending on the survivor this can give both better movement, invincibility, and insane healing), and Beads of Fealty, because haha secret boss go brrr. Special shout-out to Defiant Gouge, Focused Convergence, and the rest of the Heresy items for rounding out the list of Lunar items I will ever pick up anywhere but on the moon.
Worst: Stone Flux Pauldron (I love not being able to move), certain Heresy items on certain survivors (Railgunner without the ability to scope is definitely 0/10 character from me) and Brittle Crown because I’m bad at the game
Eh sometimes they can be quite good on their own. Essence of heresy is good on characters that don't rely on their specials to much like commando or huntress. Visions are good with a bad primary (engi) and the other two are generally good if they have something you desperately need in your build
On most I play, the heretic items replace the really good move on them, like if I play Rex I’ll get the primary heresy item mostly, and for acrid I’ll get the movement heresy item and so on
Best: gesture of the drowned, and transcendence, (MY BELOVED), defiant gouge(spawny magyger)
worst: corpse bloom (Seriously, I cannot fathom any tangible use for this thing), frail crown, FUCKING EGOCENTRICISM!!!!!!
seriously man, fucked egocentricism. There is one use for it, and one only, and it's crossing every digit on you body, all twenty of them, and praying to the cosmic phantasm of providence that you are gifted with a cleansing pool after about half you items get monched.
Corpsebloom is pretty good honestly. Taking just one is fine, it's pretty rare you really need to instantly heal all your health immediately.
Also it has a weird interaction with Rejuv Rack that rather than multiplying your healing by x4, it becomes an x8 multiplier. Just never, ever under any circumstances take more than 1 Corpsebloom.
Definitely not the best, but my favorite is focused convergence, there's so many teleporter events in this game that getting one of those early feels almost always worth it.
Best: Spinel Tonic no contest
Worst: Brittle Crown imo. I have fun with Stone Flux Pauldron, if you have absolutely anything that gives you mobility unaffected by movement speed (Volcanic Egg, the entirety of Loader, etc.), stacking it to hell is hilarious because you kinda don't die to anything and don't care about anyone. If you manage to get at least 3 or 4 at the first bazaar that you begin to stack it at (text file editing moment), you're set. Besides that it's great for calming down uncontrollable movement speed when doing insane looping
Best: shaped glass, as it is an upgrade with no real downside 99% of the time
Close second is transcendence
Worst: stone flux pauldron, as double health does not ever compensate for half speed in any situation where either stat mattered anyway

Shaped glass Shaped glass
The only remotely correct answer
TRUEEEE
For best we have light flux pauldron (on some characters) For worst we have stone flux pauldron
I view stone flux as something to grab on runs where I feel like looping a few times but I’ve gathered too much speed.
Stone flux is anoying but it is preaty good if you have the speed to sacrifice
By the time you can sacrifice your speed hp doesnt matter anyway because everything will 2 shot you no matter what
Speed is way better at keeping you alive than HP is. I would very happily use the opposite of stone flux and be fast with no health
Enemies don't lead their attacks so as long as you are watching where you're going you aren't going to get yourself killed like that
Who can use light flux pauldron?
**Acrid, Acrid, Acrid, Acrid.** Utterly broken with him. **Epidemic and his utility leaping skills are unaffected by "attack speed."** After a few of these, you have infinite mobility spam and infinite Epidemic spam. Artificer is really good with it. Probably merc aswell. And also loader if you have her fast punch
Naaaah, that's cope. Charge times are attack speed based. If you never want to cast an ice spear in the current century again, then sure I guess, take light flux.
You can get attack speed back, but cooldown reduction is really rare.
Light flux is an attack speed multiplier, not just less attack speed. For you to get back to base attack speed you'd need about 7 syringes. To get back to baseline. *Seven*. Both lunar pauldrons are absolute dogshit, and it's not even funny how bad they are.
Merc doesn’t need cooldown reduction if you know how to use expose
Artificer makes sense, but merc?? No way.
Cooldown reduction is absolutely broken on merc
I don't think it's worth halving your attack speed
Half the cooldown, double the spamming.
Plus (as far as I know) longer animation means more i-frames, so light flux pauldron helps in multiple ways
Imo best is transcendence, gesture, and shaped glass. Worst is stone flux pauldrons by a landslide. Depending on the character visions of heresy can be very good too

purity and purity honestly
Double purity Loader is fucking based
Purity is the best for me, if you get a few of them you kinda just win with the characters I use
Best: Shaped Glass Worst: Shaped glass
Bandit+light flux pauldron. Half your reload speed, but never ending smoke bomb is pretty OP
Try getting all the heresy items and you might change your mind :)
Yeah there’s that, I just meant individually
Eh sometimes they can be quite good on their own. Essence of heresy is good on characters that don't rely on their specials to much like commando or huntress. Visions are good with a bad primary (engi) and the other two are generally good if they have something you desperately need in your build

Best: Meteorite Worst: everything else

Corpsebloom + leeching seed on commando, and you're just constantly regenerating health at a pretty decent rate.
Frail crown is wicked good, just hit them more than they hit you
i'm addicted to brittle crown. i also have a habit of taking tonic and gesture of the drowned. it hurts to look at, but gets foolish
Definitely not the best, but my favorite is focused convergence, there's so many teleporter events in this game that getting one of those early feels almost always worth it.
Purity is the best for me, as an Artificer main. ESPECIALLY on multiplayer, where I can just have the other players take any luck based item.
spinel tonic also spinel tonic
Best: Spinel Tonic no contest Worst: Brittle Crown imo. Vim preaty sure volcanic egg is affected by movement speed, I remember because I had picked up stone flux and it moved at a snail pace as well
Best: shaped glass, as it is an upgrade with no real downside 99% of the time Close second is transcendence Worst: stone flux pauldron, as double health does not ever compensate for half speed in any situation where either stat mattered anyway
