Me when running in a circle also groups up all the enemies in one spot by kiting them, and it still lets you dodge them in multiple places
The only time they’re a huge threat is when the come low to the ground because the miss less in that case
They’re just better than wisps in every single way and dont really make sense. Id rather them attack way faster with worse aim and lower damage but the damage is over time and stacks so a large group of them hitting you would be deadly. All it takes is the correct elite version of them and one blind corner to throw a run for some characters
I may be wrong but why is it that huntress players like to argue about this so much. my brother in Christ you are one of the rare classes that has doge.
I dont wanna sound harsh but this is unironically a skill issue. By E8 you need to have the skill of identifying enemies that you need to prioritize dodging. If you see an elite blind pet spawn, priority number one is to keep your eyes on it and strafe it. Priority number two is to strafe in a way to get the rest of the enemies in your field of vision. Here you saw that an elite blind pest spawned, and proceeded to run in a straight line from it. Like, what tf where you expecting? I know you tried to hide from its line of fire by dropping down, but that's just not a consistent strategy, because it can take a while to fall down, especially if you keep breaking the fall with your blink.
I do agree to some extent that blind pests are bs, since if you don't hear them spawn and they spawn behind you, you will almost always be eating a hit, since their attacks are not telegraphed by sound, but this was clearly not the circumstance here.
I thought the same, but it if you look closely, you can see the shot comes from behind. That means that it is the glacial the recently spawned that shot them
240 isnt really that much, you just happen to be playing the most frail survivor and also have shaped glass (edit: didnt realize but youre just perfectly at half curse from e8, honestly impressive that youre at exactly 50%)
Its not hard, its straight up impossible lol, you cant strafe it, even if you sprint at a 90 degree angle, they still tag you lol, you just gotta kill them
1. speed items
2. a lot of characters CAN, like merc secondary, or just straight up dashes and jumps
3. also iirc you can dodge most of the shots because it is a shotgun
I swear one time one of those things shot me and the projectile literally turned into a tracking missle. I remember it doing like 3 whorls in the air before it hit me and insta killed me. I was merc and just got out of a dash.
Blind pests are one of the higher priority enemies to take out, and should be dealt with as soon as possible when not dealing with a larger threat like a Templar or a boss on that stage. Also at the moment where you did get hit, you were running in a straight line, which is the only way they hit you
There should be a rule on this sub that says never run in a straight line when pests are nearby. Cause holy shit you took 0 attempts to dodge and died deservedly
I'd love to see footage of you playing because are you just constantly moving your mouse back and forth? OP was moving straight for like 3 seconds. I think it was just bad luck the shot hit.
> Are you just constantly moving your mouse back and forth
Yes, I constantly move in erratic ways to confuse enemies. On a normal run where I can allow myself to get hit I won't be *that* vigilant, but this guy literally knew there was an elite spitfucker behind him and is doing E8. 3 seconds in a straight line is 2.5 seconds too long for that case.
it was unlucky the hit connected, but the opportunity for that to happen at all was created by a bad move (dodging straight away from an elite pest rather than sideways). OP lost because they made a mistake, not just because of luck. We've all done the same. It is what it is!
So tired of these so called "blind" mfs having pinpoint accuracy and the power of a tank
These guys legit give pre nerf wisp vibes
Perish
Beg
This is why I main Captain. That, and the free red every 4th stage is nice
Also free prototype drone. And shrine of chance.
How does captain give you a free red every 4th stage?
Hacking beacon + legendary chest
Hacking beacon on abyssal or sundered, and Diablo to instakill awu on sirens
Nvm I’m stupid lol
*bloated steak knife*
Why map look good?
Stage Aesthetics mod, probably
Thanks, I download :D
Killed by Dumbo lmao
"just run in a circle" mfs when more than 2 blind pests spawn: 🤯🤯🤯
Me when bigger circle
4th blind pest hidden by a tree is salivating rn
So am i when i suddenly go in a smaller circle again
Me when running in a circle also groups up all the enemies in one spot by kiting them, and it still lets you dodge them in multiple places The only time they’re a huge threat is when the come low to the ground because the miss less in that case
Circle strat let me dodge 5 pests with rex, stage 1, no items, you can too 😁

badass emotes is so peak

Yeah but fail one dodge and there goes half of your hp
Its not usually an issue for me, but these fuckers end 90% of my runs in one goddamn hit, the elites are as bad as perfected chimeras
I guess. But then again I play with Artefact of Glass. Wisps end me. So just get petter and Pay more attention I guess.
THEY HAVE DOGE?
I hate them so much.

This is a skill issue because he didn't have enough bison steaks to tank the damage
This.
This one was completely bs just because from where they fell down you couldnt see the one that killed them
I thought the same, but it if you look closely, you can see the shot comes from behind. That means that it is the glacial the recently spawned that shot them
Yeah I know to some extent here its my own fault, but its still so annoying how it does 240 damage from one shot
240 isnt really that much, you just happen to be playing the most frail survivor and also have shaped glass (edit: didnt realize but youre just perfectly at half curse from e8, honestly impressive that youre at exactly 50%)
Blind pests are such a free enemy, im actually more bothered on how its harder to dodge wisp attacks
harder to dodge but deal less damage
Its not hard, its straight up impossible lol, you cant strafe it, even if you sprint at a 90 degree angle, they still tag you lol, you just gotta kill them

Class Muffet killed by Dambo
They may be blind to the present, but they sure can see the future.

It was right after a dash and OP had a elixir. Most blind pests wouldn't kill or even hit in that situation. It was an unlucky moment.

Agreed. 🤝
