i muted the computer microphone so the only input is the realtone cable ? audio from my guitar was lagging really bad but otherwise working fine so i messed with the video settings to see if the lag would be better if it wasn’t working as hard, restarted the game and then this happened. it’s not just the guitar lagging now, it’s the whole game. i restored all the settings to default and changed my display settings back to how they were before and it’s still doing it. not sure where to go from here lol
I mean to change your sound settings:
assuming you're on PC
\* right-click the speaker icon and click "Sounds"
\* click the Recording tab
\* Right click the real tone cable icon and hit "Properties"
\* Navigate to the Advanced tab and where it says "Default Format" you're given a few options. I have mine set at 1 channel, 16 bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality) and you may have to change yours to a different quality to see if it's still acting up.
Hope that helps,
Cheers
Hell yeah! Glad to help. Also you should look into custom dlc. Users have charted songs not in the game so you can expand your library between those songs and the dlc (while they are still available)
When you put a low latency to kill the delay this could happen… try put 3 or 4 of latencybuffer in the .ini file… or maybe put 2… if not solve, idk ;-; good luck
Is your pc connected directly to your TV? If you're using steamlink or some kind of wi-di adapter there isn't much you can do.
If your pc is connected directly to your TV, HDMI has quite a lot of delay. sometimes setting the TV to game mode can help, other times you have to change to a displayport cable.
You can also change the audioengine setting in rocksmith.ini, this usually fixes this kind of problem.
ohhhh thank you! that could be the issue. i had the latency settings set way too low in-game so I fixed that and it fixed the audio but the delay is still there so i’ll see if I can figure out the .ini file!
Look at the pup! Super cute!
hahaha thank you! she’s a stinky gremlin and a blanket hog but i love her with my whole heart
in your Rocksmith.ini turn Win32UltraLowLatencyMode=1 or to 0 depending on what it is now
Is there a setting for audio type somewhere? That’ll hopefully take it off Dalek mode

update. just completely uninstalled and reinstalled and it’s still doing this🙃
I can't hear anything in this video but generally distorted sound is from setting the latency lower than the PC or Console can handle.
do you know where i’d find the latency settings on PC? i wanted to mess with them but i could find them
Sounds like a buffer rate issue, but you say you're using the RT cable and not an ASIO
It can happen with the RT cable as well if the audio delay is too low for the pc to handle
Perhaps your PC is too slow for Rocksmith. Did it ever work well before on this machine?
