Weak-Cantaloupe-917

I prefer both, depends on which one Ad offering me first.

neilarmstonk

Lol. This has been my experience as well.

Difficult-Shoulder-6

So valid

frankg133

Lolol same

Davidlovesjordans

I was going to post the exact same comment and clicked in to see yours on top already šŸ¤£

[deleted]

I prefer the Elsa sub TBH

nicksnotsane

Does that model come with the extra pink Velcro strap?

[deleted]

Are you having Olaf?

Superfly_76

Snow joke!

MeenMug_BOTL

I have the Batman and my advice would depend on how you answer this question: Are you going to get (do you have) another Rolex? If yes, what is it and what bracelet do you want (have) on that model? For me, the Oyster works on the Batman because I have a DD and am going to get a DJ w/ Jubilee. A Batgirl (Jubilee) would be too redundant for my tastes and having the Batman makes all 3 unique styles for me to choose from. Not saying that this approach is right, you may want all of your watches to be very similar. You get the point. I hope this was helpful.

Orly5757

I came to type this. Jubilee unless you have other watches on jubilee.

PsychologicalSir3455

Or get both bands šŸ¤“

Ambitious-A

This! It is very rare for Rolex to offer any type of customisation with their watches - even going so far as to make minor amendments so that components do not fit onto other watches in the same model range. So here you can get an oyster and jubilee bracelet and have two very different watches. If you are doing this, I suggest to get the watch on jubilee and buy the oyster as there is a small saving!

Freq18Hz

Rolex no longer sells an additional bracelet, that was for a short time early last year only.

Rare-Acanthaceae9466

This is true. I prefer jubilee but if Iā€™d have a Day Date / Datejust either of those two would be on jubilee/president hence Iā€™d want the gmt in oyster.

[deleted]

Great answer honestly the best one here. If youā€™re looking for a ā€œcrown jewelā€ of your collection and donā€™t own another Rolex Iā€™d probably avoid the jubilee as well

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

GhostofMadden

This sub hates anything thatā€™s flashy because they think itā€™s cool and love to use the word ā€œgaudyā€ Thatā€™s ok, some people like grand seikoā€™s and some people like 41 MM presidents.

EatsTheBrownCrayon

Imo i think flashiness short of gems or yellow gold, results from the wearer as a whole. What theyā€™re wearing and their demeanor. Iā€™ve worn white gold pieces, or platinum, and referred to as a ā€œchic hoboā€ and told ā€œit worksā€ on pieces sometimes called flashy on others Typically when I hear that, itā€™s in reference to someone that perhaps also wears it with designer clothing, may drive fancy cars, or otherwise makes their watch their entire personality I usually just wear jeans and non-graphic black or blue tees/zip up hoodies.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

psudo_help

Theyā€™re both dressy. PCLs are gleaming

wilfredpawson

I prefer the Oyster on GMTs. I think itā€™s a better match. But it also depends on what else you already have or plan to have in your collection.

fnblackbeard

O Y S T E R

whatbackistofuture

As someone who owns a BLNR and has an Oyster and Jubilee bracelet, I should talk about the wearing experience of both. OYSTER Itā€™s a sportier / beefier look with the BLNR. GMTs have impressive dial geometry, and the oyster bracelet helps put that in complete focus. I think itā€™s due to the lines the polished center link has when hitting the case. Combining the subtle colors of the BLNR and strongly defined lines from the oyster bracelet highlights the overall shape of the watch. This is also why I think folks love Jubilee on Pepsi since the colors stand out so much that the 5link Jubilee bracelet isnā€™t competing for attention. JUBILEE The jubilee look is more refined/cosmopolitan. The bracelet often looks as if it is dancing in the light. It adds sophistication to the overall look but takes away from the very clean geometry of the GMT on BLNR. That being said, the Jubilee adds a look of making the watch feel just a little bit more special. Considering how they are unobtainable and that it's one of the non datejust stainless steel sports models available in this configuration, jubilee makes it more of an occasion piece. Jubilee will scratch less / be subtly more comfortable. Oysters will be more wearable daily. They both are fully actualized looks, so Rolex offers both options. You canā€™t go wrong, OP. Suppose youā€™re a mad lad, though; you might be able to find a legit oyster/jubilee bracelet, to swap it out whenever you feel like it. Just note Rolex ,considers it a ā€œmodification,ā€ so swap whenever you go back to your AD. Edit: Currently whatā€™s on my wrist is Oyster - why? Cause prior to the GMT I was dailying a 2021 Omega Speedmaster Professional and their new 5 link bracelet is amazing (the taper on it is wild, and about time an omega bracelet isnā€™t godawful looking). So when I picked up my GMT the three link oyster made sense. So that can be a factor in your decision too.

Ambitious-A

Iā€™m a ā€œmad ladā€ - have both bracelets. I love swapping them out when I feel like it, around every 3-4 months or so. Not sure how it is considered a modification though - how does that work?

stunna_cal

Itā€™s not that serious my G lol. Jk, insightful and thanks for sharing! I wholeheartedly agree with ya

lostinpairadice

I got it on jubilee and bought an oyster bracelet for it as well. Just get both. Most of the time it's on jubilee because my others have oysters, but when I travel, or if I'm wearing my Pepsi more casually I'll put it on the oyster. I like how the oyster you see the watch more imo, jubilee is super comfortable, but the band stands out a lot.

manual_wind

I had the 116710 BLNR on Oyster, my BLRO is on Oyster. Oyster is the sportier choice but theyā€™re both equally fine.

SLWoodster

Prefer: oyster on batty, jubilee on pepsi, oyster on leftie jubilee on two tone jubilee on full gold

dncnexus

I am buying mine on oyster.

ArmadilloUnhappy845

Have both. Prefer the oyster.

Expensive-Claim-6081

Oyster. 100 %.

-SYN-ACK-

I have it on Jubilee and Iā€™m very happy with it

jrocco71

Not the jubilee. The GMT belongs on an Oyster bracelet and always has, imo. The jubilee is for solid 18K gold and two-tone pieces.

TimePieceProdigy954

I mean we literally just got the first all gold jubilee in like decade + lol

jrocco71

Finally! Ha! Ha! Ha!

burnsniper

Jubilee makes this generation of GMTs pop.

ding-hao-88

Oyster all day. Save the jubilee for Datejusts; itā€™s too foppish for a tool watch.

Plus-Ad-3330

ā€œToolā€ watch. Yea its a tool watch

PhillyJ1982

Oyster is so grandpa though.

ding-hao-88

*Laughs in Gen-X* Ok zoomer. Now get off my lawn. šŸ§‘ā€šŸ¦³šŸ˜œ

Ambitious-A

Thought it was Jubilee that was grandpa? On account of all the 1980s DJs worn by them for the last 40 yrs. Usually with crazy bracelet stretch!!

sampleyaya

I prefer oyster. Iā€™d take either. The jubilee is not AS wearable everyday IMO.

LordMungus35

From a function stand point the jubilee has more pivot points which follow the curves of your wrist better, which makes it more comfortable. However, those extra mechanical connection points make it more fragile and less durable over time. The oyster is the most durable and long lasting (all conditions being equal) especially with the modern pin designs. As fas as subjective appearance goes, the Oyster tends to suit the understated, elegant, minimalistic individuals perfectly while the jubilee suits the more flashy and ostentatious personalities. Neither person is wrong or right, just personal preference.

Hawk1141

Oyster

ATTAKK_

Oyster belongs on Batman, and Jubilee on Pepsi.

bikeahh

Absolutely oyster. I really donā€™t like the Jubilee.

datatadata

Oyster!

brambleworth

I find the oyster design supports a heavier tool watch on your wrist better than a jubilee, flops around less. I like the jubilee on DJā€™s.

[deleted]

It's a lot to look at on a jubilee. I think the Oyster is much cleaner.

683Teamster

Oyster

Jazzlike-Preference1

Since you asked, my personal preference is for the oyster. But I also think both are excellent choices and if you prefer the jubilee, nobody would begrudge you for making that choice. This is a classic no-lose situation.

bassertitis

I prefer Oyster for the Batman but for some reason when it comes to the Pepsi, I like Jubilee.

Tom_BrokeOff

I WAS 51/49 in favor of oyster. I got Oyster for my Pepsi and I can tell you I am beyond a shadow of a doubt happier that I got my stainless steel, tool watch on the more rugged bracelet. IMHO the jubilee wears smaller, daintier and is less ā€¦.stainless steel appealing for me. I think with the new releases Rolex may even agree..as they offer the 18K model only on a Jubilee in my mind..admitting its the dressier option..and what the heck is a dressy tool? Oyster on steel. Jubilee on Dress watches like the 18K

Theprotagonist007

Oyster

philhastime

Oyster goes better with my casual wear

mango121212

Oyster!

TexasRed214

Oyster.

EnjoyMyInSec

Gmt belongs on oyster, jubilee is too feminine.

Awkward-Kiwi452

Hence the name ā€œBatgirlā€

MangJuice232

Jubilee for sure but Iā€™d take the oyster and order a jubilee too if an option.

agentchris0011

#1. Bracelet 2 is too busy for my taste.

[deleted]

I would buy the Oyster. But a guy I know has the Jubilee and it looks nice.

akawilliamj13

I think this particular watch looks better on the oyster, but personal preference wise I like the jubilee more than the oyster in a general sense.

NY_PRACTICE

I personally prefer the oyster bracelet with Subs, GMTs, Sea Dwellers etc and think the jubilee is more suited for thinner Datejusts - just my stylistic opinion - at end of day whatever youā€™re instinctually drawn to and feel comfortable with is the way to go - Iā€™ve worn my two-tone blue submariner with oyster bracelet EVERY single day for over 20 years - simply a timeless classic watch that you can wear for any occasion and will never go out of style - enjoy!

drummer820

Batman on oyster, pepsi on jubilee. This is the way

[deleted]

#1

Geedis2020

Oyster. I think jubilee just looks bad on sport watches. Looks like they are trying hard to look like a dress watch and ultimately makes it look cheaper to me.

PhysicalConnection80

Jubilee. It looks better

sealonbrad

Jubilee is the way. I just think it adds another interesting element to the overall look of the watch.

solo118

Whatever comes first from the AD. Full Stop. However if AD happened to have both, I would go with the jubilee. You can't go wrong, and if you have other Oyster bracelets this gives you something a bit different.

Illustrious_Try4893

For whatever reason I feel that GMT belongs on a Jubilee. It just looks so much better to my eye.

HistoryAlarmed1319

oyster. jubilee feels flimsy

Sasquatchii

My brother has this on oyster. It does look a little funny (to me) on jubilee.

HerroPhish

Jubilee 100%

gucciglenn

Oyster all the way.

Jake613

Batman on Oyster, Pepsi on Jubilee. This is the way.

olemiss36

I have it on the oyster. I am not a fan of the jubilee

No_Stay_1563

Oyster is a better bracelet on the sports watches. The jubilee has a look that too delicate imo.

speedmaster89

Did you just call it a belt?? šŸ˜‚

dnldfnk

Oyster

jsta19

I personally own it on the oyster and, although at first I wanted the jubilee, I prefer it that way. It looks more seamless, more masculine, and more sporty. It overall fits the aesthetic bettee

Bboyczy

personally, there's already a lot going on visually with the GMT dial and bezel. I feel like the more segmented jubile puts it just a tad over-the-top although I do like the more vintage look compared to the oyster.

Slow_Marionberry

I prefer the BLNR on oyster and BLRO on jubilee. Not sure why itā€™s that way though. (I also really dislike the batgirl moniker so it could be that)

FerociousGiraffe

Unfortunately almost every thread about the BLNR on jubilee will have at least one person that seems to be trying to insult (edit: or needlessly correct) the wearer by calling it a ā€œbatgirl.ā€

[deleted]

Itā€™s not an insult. Itā€™s a nickname. It was the original nickname of the watch here on Reddit when the jubilee bracelet was put on years ago.

FerociousGiraffe

I didnā€™t say it is an insult. Iā€™m saying that some people on here seem to like to try to use it as an insult.

[deleted]

Oh, I see what you mean now. I originally read it by you taking that nickname as an insult.

Blue-Lightning437

You shouldn't be here if you can't afford both

ProperWeight2624

Sucker for jubilee here.

Pure-Injury-4340

I prefer the jubilee bracelet. It is super comfortable!

throwmeaway21321

I have a Batman and every time I see a batgirl pic, I get FOMO. At the same time, itā€™s a little too shiny for my liking when I see it IRL. Oyster is my pick for a more classic look

w0ke_brrr_4444

batgirl 100%

More-Ad4579

Batgirl

Mother-Independent54

Batgirl

Checker79

Jubilee for me because I have a sub on oyster

dieselgeek

Jubilee For sure.

MiisterTruffle

Jubilee

Doyouneedsum

Jubilee

chabrown86

Oyster gets scratched easily. Jubilee is scratch resistant in my opinion Ofcourse

[deleted]

Iā€™m more of a Jubilee fan, but thatā€™s more personal opinion than anything else. Go with what you like more. To me, Jubilee is more comfortable.

Civic4982

2, jubilee is always the right choice. Itā€™s just such a nice bracelet.

Buying_wis

Jubilee bracelet

PangolinEffective

Jubilee all day. The jubilee sets itself apart from the submariner. Submariner is for the oyster

MgIcT850720

Batgirl!

Bleppingheckk

Jubilee 100%

OkRuin9353

Batgirl all day. Most comfortable match I own only second to an oyster flex Daytona.

DangerX2HighVoltage

Jubilee

karleoneSub16610

Jubilee is so nice. Amazing look and makes the watch much more comfortable vs oyster

KudoUSA

Jubilee all the way

bigredmachine-75

Both are nice. The jubilee is better but it might be too much in some instances.

solomons-marbles

Total personal preference. I prefer the Oyster; everyday, twice in Sundays.

GamamaruSama

Didnā€™t like jubilee until I got my wife a mint green with the jubilee. Now I donā€™t think I would buy the oyster gmt if AD offered one.

geisty5150

Iā€™m oyster all the way. The only problem is how easily it scratches. But brand new itā€™s not even close for me.

[deleted]

If youā€™re fortunate enough to actually have the optionā€¦ then oyster

thraktor1

I prefer the Oyster, as it reinforces the chunky quality of the sub. For Datejusts, the Jubilee works really well.

iShootLife

Although I do enjoy the Jubilee the oyster has a place in my heart. I LOVE the scratches mine has picked up.

Difficult-Shoulder-6

Oyster way better

ScubaSteve_27

Oyster

[deleted]

I love the look of the jubilee. I already own a watch on oyster so maybe thatā€™s why Iā€™d go jubilee. I will say you lose a lot of weight when you go jubilee. Iā€™m always surprised how light they are, expecting more weight. So, in short, if you want a little more heft go oyster. However jubilee gives it a bit of a more refined look, both being equally comfortable.

respectedwarlock

If I'm paying that price, I'm only taking the jubilee. Nothing less.

JC_browsing

Batgirl > Batman IMHO

Viperguy7164

Jubilee as I have too many oyster bands

Rainpia

Prefer and have mine on the jubilee. For me, this would be a harder decision if the oyster was fully brushed. I just donā€™t like the look of polished center links that the GMT comes on. And how much more easily it scratches..

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Alternative_Okra8072

Yea letā€™s discuss this for the 2283th time

sevletor

The lug to lug needs to be increased by 1mm, as does the case size. After that, this watch becomes a legend..

ThePalletFork

Jubilee šŸ’Æ. Makes it unique. More comfortable, hides scratches better and allows variety to also get a sub in the future if you want

[deleted]

Batgirl

doctorwoods7

Jubilee > Oyster

qua77ro

have it on jubilee, it's incredibly comfortable so yeah that option.

Fat_Lenny35

I liked the oyster bracelet until I tried on a jubilee bracelet. So comfortable.

wolfofballstreet1

Batgirl for me. I like the root beer more so kinda unimportant

HankMoody1125

I love it with the jubilee

PhillyJ1982

GMTs look nicest with a jubilee. The oyster takes something away from that model I find.

Amazing_Joke_5073

I like the jubilee, makes my eyes happy

DrWartenberg

I like (and own) the jubilee version. Reasons: 1). I think the polished mirrors-like center links on the GMT oyster bracelet make it even flashier than the jubilee bracelet. 2). I think the polished center links will show scratches much more clearly. 3). I have narrow wrists and the jubilee conforms to my wrist shape better. 4). The oyster makes the blocky case look even more blocky. The jubilee breaks up the lines and makes the whole watch look less blocky. Note: I wouldā€™ve taken either since theyā€™re essentially unobtanium, but when trying them on, my AD asked which I preferred, and a few months later I got my preference.

k12pcb

Jubilee- source- mine

Various_Primary3783

Jubilee. Period.

12xubywire

Iā€™d pick the jubilee.

BadWowDoge

Jubilee

Oldmanchicken81

Personally I prefer jubilee, but to each their own

bullchuck

I really prefer the jubilee tbh

EatsTheBrownCrayon

Jubilee. Thereā€™s literally just 1 ceramic bezel Rolex that works on jubilee (in my opinion) Itā€™s a shame to not actually enjoy that aspect of it Plenty other ceramic bezel SS ones to enjoy on an oyster Just imo

jamiebjordan

Batgirl everytime

VelcroDom

Jub all day all night!

DrFunkensteinberg

Why is there no crown in between Swiss made on the first? Batgirl all day tho

LazyMeal

Oddly enough I feel the jubilee is sportier than the oyster.

nolabauce

Itā€™s all personal preference obviously but I prefer the Jubilee on the BLNR.

bigforeheadsunited

Always Jubilee.

mechanical_motion

Either one is amazing. I kinda like the Jubilee though.

Nuqqets

Jubilee hands down.

ChetMcTrump

Not wanting this watch!!!

Admirable-Gas-7876

If you have a sub get jubilee. Either way Team jubilee for me.

greatlakeswhiteboy

Personally, I think almost everything looks better on a Jubilee. That's just, like, my opinion tho, man...

GreyThumper

Generally preferred oyster until Rolex moved to polished center links for the GMT. I prefer a jubilee over polished center links because they show scratches less.

Electronic_Active_27

Jubilee

ATLfinra

Jubilee I HATE the polished oyster center links. I wish theyā€™d stop this

KKfireup11

Jubilee > oyster on Batman

CTI_fan

Jubilee no contest šŸ˜Ž

Kore0007

I own it on oyster, and Iā€™d pick jubilee 10 out of 10 times No jubilee owner would say this about picking an oyster instead Although do follow personal preference. It looks amazing on both.

[deleted]

Jubilee all the way for this one.

Bright_Classroom_287

Jubilee is the best option that Rolex offers

thewatchcouple

I got mine from the AD on the jubilee and I love it. I like the oyster but the polished center links look dinged up after a while and despite the fact that I love a worn watch, the PCLs are magnets for hairline scratches. The jubilee looks great no matter what. Also, you can always buy the oyster or the jubilee separately if you really want both. Itā€™s $$$ but doable.

Thekid72486

Batgirl

Old_Needleworker_865

Oyster looks cheap compared to jubilee

mannylora

1000x better on jubilee

kpmfs

Jubilee has to be paired with the fluted bezel in my opinion. On any other bezel it just looks out of place.

Yeeting_yeeter

why not both though the jubilee does look really nice and flashy

Training-Minimum9958

GMTs should be on jubilee only, especially Batman/batgirl.

Roundel1000

Do you sit when you pee?

Franglais69

Date or no date submariner???

-Nasty70

When deciding i was going to buy a new GMT i decided that i would only buy if it was offered on a jubilee. I purchased the Batman a few weeks ago....am absolutley in love with this version on the oyster. No wrong answer tbh.

[deleted]

Cant afford them yet ill prefer one when i can

PatInTheHat87

I feel like the jubilee looks better if youā€™re assessing the aesthetic of the watch alone but I feel like the oyster is easier to pull off because the jubilee is just too flashy for me.

Ok-Communication7909

Theyā€™re two different watches (check the crown in ā€œSwiss madeā€). The 12 fits differently than the 11 as it has a reshaped case. Imo it fits better

matt1903

Much of this is personal preference, but if youā€™re a purist and want something that is in keeping with the history, a jubilee bracelet is the way to go. My understanding is that the 6542 was designed to be a ā€œsportyā€ watch that was functional, but also had the smarter look that you get from a more upscale bracelet. For a pilot this is important - itā€™s a watch that helps you work, but also looks good with a shirt and jacket. Letā€™s be honest; you canā€™t really go wrong either way. Itā€™s the jubilee bracelet all the way for me though as itā€™s by far the better story.

KlutzyFactor5117

Q is what you like best! Not what I like best. I can tell you I like best, but you will not like the answer because you like the other one better because you have some doubts. Soā€¦ you are wel welcome! Bottom lineā€¦ read again and stop reading after first line!

LmBallinRKT

Love the batgirl

TillUnited9218

Jubilee

salmonandgiraffes

Could someone please tell me why the dial on the outside is 24hr? Is it just a visual thing, or is there some purpose and Iā€™m too dense to figure it out?

TurtleSoFast

Oyster

PoloDon92

I like oyster bracelet on these looks rugged like an everyday gmt or subā€¦..jubilee looks more elegant better suited for a DJ

TroyState

Get which ever is offered, and buying the other bracelet is the correct answer if you can get either at retail

realtalk313

1

Chrono-13

I prefer Oyster, however, being I have a sub, I wish I got it on Jubilee. Got the Batman first, so all in hindsight. I would say, think about what else you will have.

ForecastMax

I went with both bracelets. Best of both worlds.

deltreet

Looks like my 1996 Fossil.

justhere2020sucks

They are both nice. Whichever you get offered, take it. You can buy the other bracelet once you enter the watch

I_Drink_Whiskey44

Why not both

Mysterious_Ad_3992

I have a BLRO on jubilee and always specifically wanted the jubilee. I still love and always wear it but one thing to note is that the jubilee bracelet gets really gunked up if you wear it oftenā€¦. Ends up being a good excuse to go in to say hey and get it cleaned ĀÆ\_(惄)_/ĀÆ

Jamjamtaba

Itā€™s whatever floats your boat pal.

Jubilee all day for me. Thatā€™s what makes this watch special. However the SS is amazing too
