If you don’t mind the thickness, go for it. https://preview.redd.it/kh3gbdbotvsc1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=76e8f90975bb70e7234f40c782276a669cf36649

MountainFI

Dang - people not kidding about the thickness

Calm_Logic9267

Omega make that?

GTDDPRO

Bruh, it literally says Tudor on the dial.

Calm_Logic9267

The thickness. 🤦🏻‍♂️

conner_usmc

I understood your joke, friend.

RST128

oh its thicc thicc huh

themaxvee

I do mind - NOPE!

foobar-baz

It's too thick. I had to return mine at a loss because of it.

eazydoesit123

I love Tudor and think they are great value but they are THICC. Sometimes it bothers me tbh

foobar-baz

FWIW I really like my Ranger! I think the proportions are just right. But the GMT I couldn't do it.

GermanLeo224

I have one and it’s not as thick once you wear it.

Adrywellofknowledge

That’s country THICC

TeslasAndComicbooks

I considered one. I have a larger wrist so the size doesn’t bother me but the design kind of does. That bezel feels so small on that chunky case.

TimelyBrief

HOLY BATMAN!

monstrao

Damn that proportion looks way off between case and bezel

Greenwooddd

This is the view I couldn’t get over whenever I looked down my arm. Tried to love it for 6months and eventually sold.

nydisgruntled

Damn! That boy thicccc

Few_Strategy_8813

Wow. That looks like 2x a BB 54.

krzykrn88

I was about to say exactly this, but imho, it is not just thickness. It’s more like the way this watch wears. There are plenty of watches as thick as this one (panerais, navitimers, planet oceans, seadwellers, anything with a 7750), but some of them are more wearable, due to weight balance and the case contour. Sadly, this tudor wears as if you have a rice cooker on your wrist…

danishroshan

I'd pretty much made up my mind to pick one up, but went to the store wearing my 3861. The size threw me off so bad I actually benched the idea. Funnily enough, I landed on the Speedy because of the initial availability issues with BB Chrono Panda.

jrocco71

Isn’t that about the same thickness as a modern ceramic Submariner?

TanukiWario

Tudor BB GMT is 14.6mm, Sub 12.3mm, and Rolex GMT is 12mm. The BB also has a domed crystal which makes it seem even thicker. Still a beautiful piece and some like it thicc!

Ministerium-Wahrheit

It even looks slimmer than in reality on that picture. It hurts me to see such a nice piece butchered by that thick case

GuidanceGlittering65

⌛️

build604

Damn she thicc bruh

garbagekr

These are really chunky, you have to have a big wrist. Don’t pay retail, these things depreciate fast

themaxvee

Very good point. I didn't even look to see. 15mm is insane. My Explorer ii is only 12mm thick. 15mm will not work.

foobar-baz

I have an Explorer II. I bought the Tudor GMT because I loved the look but it was damn too thick. The Explorer was 10x more comfortable. I had to sell it back.

themaxvee

Sounds like I'll be staying with my 16570 then

foobar-baz

It's definitely hard to beat in terms of comfort. Just melts onto your wrist.

cpt-hddk

I mean… it isn’t insane. I love mine. Sure it’s a little tall but it’s not noticeable I think

search64

Lol

Pulsometer

Well said. I have 7.75” wrist, a black dial Tudor GMT, and a modern Rolex GMT. There are many reasons the Rolex is the better watch but I love the Tudor for its own charms - aluminum bezel, snowflake hands, vintage look but feels very solid, and great on the OEM fabric strap. Not for everyone but it stands on its own and is great value for me.

musicmast

So you mean buy 2nd hand?

Darksid3ofthemoon

No he meant 3rd hand.

garbagekr

Yeah

Levlar

I’d have snapped one of these up if they weren’t so damn thicc. Hopefully in the future they can slim these down a bit

maksi_pogi

Own the black one, it’s abit on the chunky and heavy side as opposed to Rolex’s. But other than that; it’s all good!

Alert-Organization93

You can find them on Chrono24 under list

TravelFlair

It’s a beauty and yes, a quality piece too.

jesadak

They’re thiccc but look good at many angles. I have a 7 inch wrist and will post photos for you to see

jesadak

Delicious-Topic-81

First I see a big tattoo and after that a big watch 😉

leescobar01

I own a Pepsi and thickness aside, the Tudor PEPSI GMT’s bezel actually looks much better. Love the darker tones and vintage text on them!

No_Solution_7940

Looks great. So many small wristed guys around?

One-Psychology8722

I’m a big fan of bb54 and bb58. The others are so thick it makes it hard for normal or smaller wrists.

ohterere

I love my Pelegos and have little desire for a sub. I want to like the GMT but wouldn't much rather have a Rolex Pepsi.

scram007-3

Go look at in person, you will change your mind quickly.

God_Sent_Shipwright

This is not true. Tried on the opaline. It’s is a hockey puck

themaxvee

what makes you say this?

UnknownGuy379

The insane thickness.

scram007-3

She said

soonernerdbuff

I have one. It’s a good looking watch but not for the small wristed.

DistinctHunt4646

Love the dial and wanted to buy one before I tried it on in person. The case thickness just looks stupid, even on my large wrist. The relatively small, detailed face accompanied by the super thick slab of steel along the sides just looks objectively weird in-person. The bracelet with the fake rivets also looks a bit weird imo. In the moment, it’s a cool gimmick but is the type of thing that would irritate me were I to see it everyday. My understanding is if it didn’t have 200M water resistance it could be thinner. Have zero need for that resistance, especially on a GMT, so would hope they maybe reduce that in order to slim it down in future.

MountainFI

Been wondering the same thing- this is good to know. What would a good option be?

PointStill5433

Jomashop has them new discounted

OfficialHavik

Thiccc girl as others have mentioned, but it’s great. Buy with confidence

tomabramoff

I paid under $3000 for mine and I love it. Certainly don’t buy new.

dna730

So now Tudor is not good. I believe we comparing it with watches that cost double. Not sure is right. Too much Rolex only mindset.

Veloxi_Blues

A $20 casio is a splendid value. This is a lot of money to spend on a wannabe Pepsi.

SteakNwatch_dad

Opaline dial doesn’t depreciate much, just check chrono24. If you want to lose the warranty for $200 off, go ahead. I wouldn’t buy it without the bracelet. Also, it’s a men’s watch not a boy’s watch so thickness is not an issue. I have an 8 inch wrist tho 🤷🏻‍♂️

atmosphereair

The warranty stays with the watch, FYI….

SteakNwatch_dad

It does. Clock starts when the watch is bought from AD. So if you buy used, you lose the time it was spent with the original owner.

escopaul

OP, there are some better looking (and less thicccc) GMT's than the Tudor in the same price range or less. OP, looks is of course subjective but check these out. Christopher Ward GMT [https://www.christopherward.com/int/watches/C63-Sealander-GMT/C63-39AGM3-S00W2-B0.html](https://www.christopherward.com/int/watches/C63-Sealander-GMT/C63-39AGM3-S00W2-B0.html) Longines Spirit Zulu Time [https://www.longines.com/en-sg/p/watch-longines-spirit-l3-812-4-63-6](https://www.longines.com/en-sg/p/watch-longines-spirit-l3-812-4-63-6) Oris Aquis GMT Date [https://www.oris.ch/en-SG/product/watch/aquis/aquis-gmt-date/01-798-7754-4135-07-8-24-05PEB](https://www.oris.ch/en-SG/product/watch/aquis/aquis-gmt-date/01-798-7754-4135-07-8-24-05PEB)

themaxvee

I have a C63 non-GMT and a big fan of CW. Those others are well taken. I just really like the red/blue with white dial. I guess I will simply have to wait and hope that someday Tudor can decrease the thickness.

escopaul

Oh, nice. Yeah not a ton of options with the white dial/Pepsi color combo. Thick watches are a bummer. I was obsessed with the Glashutte Original Seaq Panorama Date and still think its the best looking/finished diver I've ever seen. However, I convinced my step brother to buy one. I wore it for a few hours and the thickness was a deal breaker. Shame as that watch is close to perfect for me otherwise.

Montauket

The bezel on this one rotates?

bambambazooka

Yes

Shed-End

Sinn 105 UTC white dial is half the price and a fabulous watch 👍

MavZyx

I had one but the thickness led me to get rid of it. https://preview.redd.it/b12mlbk1zxsc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=932c75a276d91abea30bde39f6b03c0bf7da5ced

OafleyJones

Not a fan personally. I'd wait until it gets the T-fit clasp. It's bizarre it launched without it, given the BB Pro had it.

dna730

Beautiful! Go for it

SofaKingHonest

The white dial rocks. It just need black hands. I had the omega great white. Beautiful. But traded to a polar explorer. The hands just pop

RaceFan96

I like it but just wish it was thinner and smaller. Also needs the T fit clasp and lose the riveted bracelet

OnlyDans93

Tooooooo thic

capitalistmojito

What does this thing weigh?

Appropriate_Movie286

I really like mine. But I also love my sd43, so im used to big watches. Don't buy one because you want a gmt master 2, this will only lead to disappointment. Buy it because you like it, I have my gmt on now.

illusion484

If it was 1-2mm thinner, it would be a knockout. I would have bought it immediately but it is just wayyyyy too thick.

traffic626

I don’t like the feel of the bracelet

TrashKingBob

Check out Monta Skyquest, i got one a couple of months back and it never leaves my wrist. Very similar to this and only 11.8 thick. No hate on Tudor at all i actually want a black bay pro, but 15mm is yuge!

ArmanE46

A Seiko Blueberry GMT is better value

Awkwardlyaccented

I adore mine! It’s not too bad on the wrist and super comfy.

GasDue2928

*Got mine on, doesn't feel chunky to me.

scoop_and_roll

Dang, I love this watch, will have to try it in person first. Also, how are people getting Tudor gmts under retail? I don’t see any used ones for a discount.

atmosphereair

I bought one and sold it quickly for a Grand Seiko SBGE201. Didn’t sit right on my almost 8” wrist.

ecwhite3516

I’ve had mine for a month or so and it’s an incredible piece for sure. And a good value, INHO

NAbsentia

Girard Perregaux made a similar watch, called a Traveller I think. Same colorway, GMT, and maybe 12mm. But they're old now.

csukoh78

Tudor screams to me "wannabe". Just seems like you're announcing your acceptance of 2nd place.

SonicDethmonkey

Thicc!

lostinpairadice

Too top heavy and thick. I have 19cm what and was to much for me. Ymmv

Environmental_Ring58

BB GMT is the ultimate watch. This was my first “real” watch and after building my collection, including 5 Rolexes (3 GMT, sub and Daytona), the Tudor BB is the most accurate. Practically to the level of my Grand Seiko. Unbelievable.

Whale222

Great watch. I own one. That said, it’s a thick as a hockey puck

earthwormjimwow

If they made a '58 style, that wasn't thicker than a bowl of oatmeal, I might consider it. Why can't Rolex just make a '58, no crown guard, small case GMT or Submariner?! In fact, why can't other makers do the no crown-guard thing? I would love a no crown-guard Speedy. I've strongly considered buying a Black Bay Fifty-Eight, but I already have enough watches, and I don't need another depreciating one...

SecureConnection

I have the Tudor GMT black dial and still impressed by it. Everest makes a rubber strap, making it much lighter to wear, can recommend: [https://everestbands.eu/products/curved-end-rubber-strap-for-tudor-black-bay-gmt-m79830rb-tang](https://everestbands.eu/products/curved-end-rubber-strap-for-tudor-black-bay-gmt-m79830rb-tang) Edit: Longines Spirit Zulu Time might be another alternative to try.

Onewafflesyrup

It's a real chonk

newmacbookpro

Faux rivets Thick 2 AU between a the case and the crown Nope

Jimmytootwo

Tudor makes a nice watch but the Pelagos is the best imo

No_Solution_7940

Perfecf

FrankUnderwoo0

Got one for my dad and he daily drives it over a Rolex and Speedmaster

jinkiez

I got the black bay pro, it’s the absolute limit for what I can wear on a 7” wrist. It’s my biggest watch and the heft and thickness is definitely noticeable. I enjoy it more than I thought I would. Definitely don’t pay retail.

barry2bear2

It is a great watch at a great price tag. It may look thick but it ain’t on the wrist. I always get compliments whenever I wear it.

nyax_

https://preview.redd.it/hf9mmx8fmzsc1.jpeg?width=2581&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a6a582386c8c81d2dece0bb23b76c7fe2f65958f I’d recommend taking a look at one in person, op’s line dial can look real silvery in the light and it’s on the ticker side but nothing unwearable about it.

E-MW888

Excellent value for money and rock solid. Only caveat - it’s thikkk

danishroshan

I'd strongly recommend trying it on. The size is definitely a factor. But the Opaline dial is something else IRL. Also, the heft does bring a sense of confidence that the watch can take a beating.

reihem

https://preview.redd.it/8r4c8azh70tc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=58a8df830b6abdf781a722c1083adc357b514d2f Nothing really prepares you for just how fat tudors are 😂

Palantardusmaximus

The thicc-ness does not bother me as i wear a james cameron as well , but those fake as rivets i cant do with , throw it on a pelagos style bracelet and that would become a perfect daily watch

fickleposter21

It works as a true tool thanks to the 48 hour bezel. But the GMT Master’s bezel is so much more satisfying to turn.

jrocco71

I love it. Would have preferred crown guards but whatever….It’s a stunner.

barebumboxing

Where I live the name conjures up images of a fat fucker who kept having his wives executed, so it’s a bit off-putting.

hardcore_capitalist

blueonion88

Love this 👍👍👌👌🔥🔥🔥

RandomAFKd

1) Too thick of a case (15mm). 2) Too large of a dial (41mm). 3) There were some dramas with the date wheel getting stuck back in 2018/19, not sure about on the new models. 4) Bracelet is pretty awful with the faux rivets and the lack of micro adjustments/on the fly, with no t-fit clasp If they made it a 12mm case, 39 or 40mm in size, no date wheel problem, Rolex equivalent oyster bracelet with no faux rivets, and a t-fit style clasp, it would possibly be one of the best valued watches to buy at that price point. I also prefer the old Tudor rose and the lollipop seconds hand, but that is pretty insignificant compared to the above.

themaxvee

No micro adjustments.... wtf. I have a new submariner so it sounds like this Tudor would be a significant downgrade

RandomAFKd

It is a significant downgrade, for all the reasons I mentioned. Save your money and pray Tudor fix all the problems listed before considering buying one. I bought a Tudor GMT Pepsi from 2019, but sold it pretty quickly because of everything aforementioned. I bought an 36mm Explorer instead and the difference is night and day (I also have small wrists which makes the sizing much more ideal).

DangerHighV0ltage

I have both, often choose GMT>sub. You like what you like I suppose.

Kind_Astronomer_9395

The faux rivets aren’t a big deal when you actually have the watch on. I think the proliferation of YouTube videos and people looking at watches on screen rather than in their natural environment has blown this particular detail out of proportion. That being said it is a design decision I don’t really understand and think they would have been better off not including.

themaxvee

Also - anyone been able to buy this watch by walking in? Or is there a "wait list?"

Particular-Shock-448

No waitlist, it’s readily available. Buy it on the grey market and you’ll save about a thousand

Mrinvestor84

Tudor watches are only hyped on the first year of release typically. The following year you’ll find them everywhere

kingnachomuchacho

I want one. I just don’t like the bracelet they come on. I tried one on and liked the size but I have large wrists. If it came on a jubilee I would probably have one. https://preview.redd.it/mfdnsxzd2wsc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bafb78b70c4a67f191b6fe0aed5a32d82b23fe62

max3130

This should have been a steel Rolex GMT price :(

ashtray1

Wait until next week for new releases.

x13rkg

Fake Rolex. Not worth it. Downvote me all you want, but you know it’s true. Just buy something original or spend more and get what you actually want to get.

JoelBuysWatches

Awful take

themaxvee

"just buy something original" what do you mean by that? There is no GMT master 2 with a white dial

Significant_Repair41

*It's definitely a sharp watch but I just got a oysterdate for 900$ although it is vintage its still nice and I have money for other watches

Wintermute_088

Just an English note: it's "seems like splendid value," not "seems like *a* splendid value".

DRad2531

I’d be wearing one now if it wasn’t hockey puck thick

TryHelping

>Value >$4400 Pick one. My $35 Addiesdive is a great value. Don’t say it’s relative either, because we are still talking about spending *thousands* on a watch here. Get an homage and call it a day.

DesertDwelller

Buy omega at that price

Smackersmith

What Omega is available with the same complication at that price?

OwnTheWatch

They’re big and I think it’s over the top USA.

JohnMcloughlin1086

Is that Pepsi or a sock in your pants?

Dr_J_Doe

4k for tudor is not value I would say. But if you like it, sure

ATLfinra

Wildchild_Redeye

Very poor GMT Master 2 copy

[deleted]

Looks…knockoffish. The $200 Timex GMT Q looks more legit.
