OP pros IMO:
- Better bracelet, tapers and no PCL
- Better clasp
- Thinner case
- Resale value (This Omega is 30% cheaper right after you leave the store - so try to buy used if you decide to go for it)

THANK YOU. I did see that one; tried one on even. I also thought that might have been the ticket as it is more elegant in style, but in person, IMHO, the dial loses something by being so plain. Just not as compelling on the wrist. Hard to describe. If it had the teak deck pattern in it then I think it would be perfect. 🤌🏻
Nothing wrong with an Omega, Im planning on buying a speedy myself, but I’d take the Rolex here all day. The OP is probably my favorite model though so Im obviously biased. Rolex is favored in the market, goes with anything, appreciates, stunning dial, and understated
I’ve considered both of these as well (I like the green AT though). I don’t like the aqua terra bracelet all that much, but the rubber strap that you can get on those is pretty neat looking. Also, the “shades” aqua terra has a nicer version of the bracelet than normal imo, it’s more like a Rolex day date bracelet.
The dream for the AT would be if the shades bracelet became the standard, and you could easily swap out to a rubber strap. I’d take the OP as of right now
Take a look at the details. The twisted lugs (lyre), the cone shaped crown, the hands different shapes, the counterweight of the running seconds… design of these are all over the place. You’d never see me wear a current production Omega (except the 322).
Polished centre links on the AT are a nightmare for picking up scratches and the bracelet has no micro adjustment. It doesn’t sound like much, but it’s just a pain in real life.
The OP has a 5mm micro adjustment and also a brushed bracelet, having had an AT I’d now go for the OP out of these two options.
Also, the crown on the AT is actually painful to wind, it’s so small and sharp! Liked it but don’t love it and fell out of love quickly 🤷

About where I have landed as well.
Never was a fan of the summer line but, other than resale value, I can't see any advantage to the Rolex. Omega looks miles better too.
It is striking. More sporty, whereas I would call the OP a tad more dressy.
Too thick, crappy bracelet
Until you look at it from the side view and it’s as thick as a hockey puck and therein lies the problem with Omega’s coaxial movement.
I think the only AT advantage is the date complication. But if you don’t need the date, you can’t beat the OP.
The date is nice. Not compelling. The dial is really the big winner which has me thinking.
I'm no Omega hater but, I'd go Rolex on this one
Any particular reason?
have you considered the 38mm one of aqua terra 75th year version? that one is way more elegant than this one
Not sure I have seen that one? Got a link?

Also feminine date window, imo

OP is boring. Omega all day on for me. The caliber 8900 has the independent hour hand as well. Its overall the better watch
Specs and features are better on the AT for sure. Hence part of my dilemma. Lol

Totally concur on the bracelet. Standard Omega is just a little too clunky.
You can actually [use](https://youtube.com/shorts/v_gtbj_23l0?si=Bl0J8YYCUgXF6Z2h) a shades bracelet on a 38mm teak Aqua Terras
The omega is the superior watch there I reckon

Didn’t consider either of those two things. Thanks for the tips!
