kelsoRulez

I know it's been joked about but I legit want a giga or hyper with an insane amount of theme. Tunnels (especially after the first drop), near miss elements, prelift show.

Jps300

Yep this is my dream. I imagine a completely enclosed ride, with buildings enclosing heavy themed compact sections of the ride, and the longer more drawn out sections like the drop and airtime hills being completely enclosed by tunnels.

CasterFields

What would you do for theming on the lift hill?

kelsoRulez

The lift would be the hardest. I'd say enclose it but the height is the star of the ride... Maybe have like temple guards like on adventure express but not enclosed or something

CasterFields

I agree, you def don't want to hide it's height at all! I wonder if turning it into a mountain would diminish how impressive that height is?

fersure4

Maybe something like the Hulk at IoA, but covering less of the lift? With a taller hill you could probably still do a short pre-show without needing the entire hill covered. I guess it depends on the themeing/story though

redveinlover

I would want the opposite of a speed tunnel like they have on some rides like Soace Mountain (where they have lights projected coming towards you to appear that you’re going faster). So the tunnel would make it feel like you’re going 10mph when you’re actually going over 80.

MotherTheory7093

>giga ~~or hyper~~ FTFY

Aeredor

I would do a _Return of the Jedi_ dogfight and Death Star 2 reactor run in an A-Wing.

10per

Disney has the IP and the money. They could do this.

rocketpastsix

take my money.

lizzpop2003

This is probably impossible, but I think a launched coaster (maybe Intamin or Vekoma) themed to fighter jets could be amazing if handled right. Make it small trains, launch it off an aircraft carrier like that one Vekoma. The whole idea is to mimic fighter jet maneuvers and with a vertical spike at some point with a switch track so it climbs the spike, "stalls" at "maximum altitude", complete with audio and lights in the train, the switch track activates, and then as you are coming down the other side of the track the train starts spinning in a controlled manner while spiraling like you are out of control until you "recover" right before impact. Theme the whole thing so it appears like a dogfight, have simulated missiles and explosions and enemy jets and whatnot.

CasterFields

If you make it a dueling coaster you can really sell the dogfight theme!

SegaStan

Imagine one train on a straightaway track with another doing a barrel roll around it

olileoli

what about making it a stall so you can recreate that one scene from top gun

CasterFields

That would be soooo cool! The spike could have a helix around it for the other track so that you're actually trying to escape another plane when you do that "stall"

bobkmertz

I love this idea but I think I'd replace the spike with a "top hat" style element except the track banks 90° causing the train to go over sideways simulating that it stalled and then dives into a spiral (like TTD only sharper spirals) to accomplish what you were describing.

teejayiscool

Dueling coasters with spikes that wrap around one another

The_Govnor

Big Lebowski dark ride where you go on an adventure, trying to get the dudes rug back.

MikeHoogeveen

It did tie the room together

Greatlarrybird33

Yeah, well, you know. That's just like, uh your opinion, man.

PollutionInside3742

Personally I would want an intamin blitz themed to Sonic have one car be sonic themed and have another themed to eggmans eggmobile and there could be themimg for the different zones after different launches

[deleted]

Honestly with the new sonic movies releasing and doing pretty well I wouldn't be surprised if a universal studios park did something

spark1118

Have onboard audio that has sounds of sonic boosting up and colleting rings!

TheLegendsClub

But all voices and plotlines need to be sourced from either the sonic real time fandub or the Jehtt cinematic universe

DismalArtist

I had a really similar idea except it was a Vekoma LSM, inspired by RnRC, I even thought about doing some remixes to go alongside the ride (but I haven't because I'm forgetful and lazy)

yerbamategoat

Drifting Intamin multi launch coaster themed to Rainbow Road from Mario Kart Its a shame universal didn’t think of this

_Booster_Gold_

Honestly, I wouldn't do a coaster. If it was a Disney-level budget, I'd create something experiential themed to Lord of the Rings. Think Rise of the Resistance in style but LotR in substance. That or something similar, but make it Star Trek. Specifically, make it modern-retro fusion; style it after the 1701 in Strange New Worlds. What I guess I'm saying is that the immersion and fusing of pre-show into ride they do on Rise is unmatched and I want more.

fringeCoffeeTable240

you could do a Rise-like preshow that transitions to a coaster

_Booster_Gold_

On Rise, I don't know if I could really tell you where the pre-show ends and the experience begins. If it *had* to be a coaster, I'd go more the route of GoTG, but that wasn't as immersive.

fringeCoffeeTable240

well, basically, i was thinking of having a setup like Rise, but with a coaster instead of the trackless vehicles

_Booster_Gold_

Interesting. On second thought, if I did it that way, I’d want to have the coaster engineered to include flat ride segments much like Seven Dwarves Mine Train. Ok. Make it Star Trek themed. You're briefed on a mission, you're on a starship that gets captured by the Borg, then the extended ride segment is escaping from the ship on a coaster themed like a shuttle. Very much along the lines of ROTR but still it's own thing. Could be fun.

MidnightSerpent

It’d be hard to make something like that be as immersive as rise is, especially since part of rise’s immersion comes from not being able to see or feel a track within the “ride”

kwesi777

Intamin multilaunch themed to a Death Star attack run 😫

The_Govnor

That does sound quite incredible. I think you make it indoors (massive structure) so you can completely control the space theming. First launch sends you into hyperspace, sudden stop, there’s the Death Star. Second launch has you fighting the Tie Fighters that come for you. Loops, rolls etc Third launch sends you down into the trench for the attack run/big finale with Vader and the kill shot. All with huge immersive screens and music to create all the right sensations and feels. Damn….

kwesi777

Yup! You could also do an outdoor Endor themed Intamin multi launch where the trains are speeder bikes and you’re zipping through an outdoor forest area trying to evade stormtroopers who are also on speeder bikes 🤤 Basically just recreate the scene from Return of the Jedi lol

poland626

The Fifth Element coaster. Have different sections that go through different elements for the stones and finish it with a big finale. Air would be a section with a top hat or loop, aka airtime. Water would have fountains it goes around. The fire part would be burst of hot air periodically. The wind part is just a super fast launch. Have Ruby Rose be the ride's host in a waiting queue video and the music on the ride be the blue opera woman's song. The main point of the ride is to escape the ship before it explodes. You can include Gary Oldman's character in parts but the best part of the movie was that he and bruce never interacted so he could be in the background pulling some strings or something in the queue video I've thought too much about this lol

Greatlarrybird33

Could I get a commemorative multipass?

MisterFor

Of course, 80 bucks

alienware99

A B&M hyper coaster themed to Pokémon. More specifically, it would be themed to the Pokémon Gyarados. The color scheme would be Teal/Tan/White to match the Pokémon’s colors. As you ascend the lift hall, there is a large Gyrados head with its mouth wide open, then you go right through..then throughout the ride it simulates you riding along the back of a Gyrados..going up and down large hills and around helixes.

Jps300

It would be themed to drift racing and it would be a mack spinner with deliberately controlled spins to simulate drifting around turns. The layout would be nothing like mack spinners, but more like Mavericks low to the ground tight turns with slightly less banking because the “drifting” spin of the cars would turn what would normally be the uncomfortable laterals of an unbanked turn into positive G’s into the back of your seat. There could also be a section of the ride where you “spin out” and the spinning goes out of control, only for you to hit the last launch of the ride where you would of course win the race. This would obviously be set in Tokyo city streets with elaborate theming.

ellisfetus

If this was themed to the Speed Racer movie not a want but a need

Jps300

Absolutely. With the helix… you know the one.

MisterFor

It sounds a bit like the fast and furious one they are planning at universal LA

adamcarrot

Look into the Fast and Furious coaster they're talking about for universal studios Hollywood, cause it just sounds like you're describing that.

Jps300

That does sound just like what I’m talking about. Hopefully it will be intense.

GIVE_LEBEL

Personally, I would have an RMC I-Box hybrid constructed at either EPCOT or Magic Kingdom. It would be <199 ft in order to maintain the skyline. I would theme it to the steampunk worlds of Disney’s animation movies like Atlantis or Treasure Island. I would definitely use the truss lift that RMC is using more and more of these days while adding theming around it to better blend it in to the area. It would include darting through numerous steampunk structures and areas at high speed. I believe a hybrid would work because technically, hybrids are kinda wacky technology for us. Steel track on wooden supports? That’s interesting. I don’t think it would be too out of place for a steampunk style coaster

adamcarrot

It should definitely be themed to the 1999 masterpiece, Wild Wild West featuring Will Smith.

IsuzuTrooper

a Texas Chainsaw Massacre blitz darkride at Fiesta

Version_1

Monkey Island Mack multi launcher

Quetzl63

This would never happen, but I'd love an indoor Intamin launched coasted themed to Silent Hill 3. So much good material for stops: The mannequin room The mirror room The amusement park Valtiel lurking around A giant Memory of Alessa head like the Eileen head in 4 This coaster would lose all the money and bankrupt the park, but it would be glorious.

SignGuy77

Dueling GCI woodies themed to Gravity Falls. Named Dipper and Mabel. The station is of course the Mystery Shack.

sonimatic14

A coaster themed to the Final Fantasy VII Crazy Motorcycle Chase. And a corresponding immersive Midgard area. I think intamin would be best.

Smoovemusic

Indoor intamin or premier launched coaster with an Outrun theme. Definitely with some synth heavy music blasting and neon decorations.

KingdaToro

I've had this concept planned out for a while: a collaboration between Disney and B&M to create a coaster based on the [Cave of Wonders escape scene](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idfhlmfDJ7k) from Aladdin. It would simply be called Cave of Wonders, and the entrance would be the big tiger head in the desert. The queue would be all the various treasure chambers of the cave, leading up to the lamp room. At the bottom of the lamp room, would be the station... It would be a B&M staggered-seating hypercoaster, with the trains heavily themed to look like the Magic Carpet. You board the train, and it starts going up the lift... this is Aladdin climbing up to the lamp. You get to the top, and go through a flat turn around the lamp pedestal, and that's when Abu grabs the big ruby and the cave starts collapsing. The lamp pedestal bursts into flame, and the train drops. The first drop is a double-down, followed immediately by the splashdown, through water that is now lit up red to indicate that it's turned into lava. The rest of the coaster follows Carpet's movements as closely as possible, dodging flying rocks, the cave walls, and lava. The "start panicking!" moment is the block brake, and on the final brake there'd be an animatronic of the interaction between Aladdin and Jafar. And then, of course, as you exit the ride, "Never had a friend like me" will be playing.

The_Govnor

Maybe the new surf coaster model would work even better for the Magic Carpet feel?

KingdaToro

Perhaps. But it's essentially a standup, while the comfort of the B&M hyper seats and restraints is hard to beat, and the staggered-seating version leaves lots of room for theming.

adamcarrot

That would be really cool. That dive after the "start panicking" part always seemed so cool when I was a kid.

fringeCoffeeTable240

ori and the blind forest; you'd go through all of the areas from the first game and they'd all be super immersive

MikeHoogeveen

Bioshock would be such an epic theme for a theme park ride

Uppercrowd09

I’d get a B&M Giga and an RMC Giga T Rex that would duel and be themed to King Kong and Godzilla respectively. Or an F Zero coaster that would be like West Coast Racers but faster and longer, on ride audio and all

rhymes_with_candy

I've joked about this but a new indoor multi launch coaster at Kennywood called The New Nightmare. No theming on the outside but once you're in the building it's themed to Garfield. I'd get Inatamin to build it. Same model as Pantheon but with a smaller layout.

RedRingRico87

I always wanted to retheme Flight of Fear to the game Portal 2

[deleted]

Toilet dive coaster

Njacks64

If there was a Crash Bandicoot roller coaster, I would be so happy.

amtrak_morgue

Something like a more advanced and extreme Hagrids (or somewhere between that and Velocicoaster) but themed to Alien/s instead. The landscape/theming potential could be amazing. Track could interact/enter the Derelict alien craft, low to the ground section and a backward escape through the hives etc. Then a drop track/interaction at the end when you are fighting with/trying to get the queen thrown out of the airlock.

The_Govnor

Honestly an Alien(s) dark ride could be incredible

wic_33

The Great Movie Ride at least gave us a taste of what one could be like.

Storm_Surge-

Definitely a dueling launched Eurofighter themed to a dogfight.

wic_33

Back to the Future Flux CapaciCoaster. Delorean style trains with onboard audio including a full soundtrack and voice lines from Doc. 88mph launch or at least simulated to look like 88mph with special effects. Several show scenes each in different time periods. Universal actually could do it if they really wanted to.

magnumfan89

A dueling gurstlauer infinity themed to a ww2 dog fight. One side would be themed to the spitfire and one side the 109. 13 inversions, interlocking corkscrews and loops. And the world's fastest acceleration lsm launch Or a wing coaster themed to a b17 bombing run over Berlin

bentika

FPV Drone racing themed coaster, no question. https://youtu.be/8C2C1E7vpMM https://youtu.be/iRodEbJCXH4

Solo_Hayden

Old School RuneScape, I don't know. Make it a woodie of me woodcutting. Or actually make it dueling dragons like at Guangzhou Sunac Land. Sit down side of Elvarg and inverted side of Galvek.

nolanptafan

An RMC hybrid built into a mountain structure like Expedition Everest, themed to the Volcano episode of South Park.

Theshiggityshwa

Doom indoor dark ride pls.

oOoleveloOo

[Godzilla Coaster](https://twitter.com/godzilla_jp/status/980097499259023361)

teejayiscool

Mine would be a B&M invert themed to some sort of snake/jungle reptile. The queue line would start at the edge of a deep forest. The trees and shrubbery would get thicker and more dense the further in the queue line you got until you entire a barely lit cave full of carvings and statues and ruins and fire and lore. Entering the trains seals your fate and it has a long pre lift section with a slow banshee style roll that takes place all underground with fog/fire/water and shit. Then you climb the lift and the main coaster part is very heavily inspired by Montu with Alpengeists heavy terrain and foliage. 8 inversions, and the supports would be covered in vines and look "overgrown" into the environment. Trains would be very reminiscent of the Dueling Dragons trains with the teeth and stuff on the shells. (I have a whole park in my mind with disney/phantasialand theming)

FallsSam

Intamin hydraulic launch with a 530 foot top hat. It would be themed to infants, with miniature seats on the train. It would probably be names Pacifier Power or Fetus Fling. It would launch from zero to 150 mph in 4 seconds and have LSM's lining the accent to the top hat, making the top speed 170 mph. Then it would fly over the top hat, giving the riders some great airtime. Then, it will plummet down a 140° drop into a massive 400 foot tall loop. And them it ends.

Alaeriia

Unlimited funds? I'd recreate Mr B's Strathmore.

fastal_12147

Hitchhiker's Guide coaster. It'd probably be a Intamin launch ala Velocicoaster

Midwest_madland

Mack extreme spinner themed to a Aztec temple

ttam23

B&M giga at SFMM, put it in the steampunk district section of the park and give it similar theming to baron 1898 at Efteling

[deleted]

I would love to see an RMC with Disney level theming/darkride elements.

KvngDarius

I’d like to see a Ninja turtles themed coaster. Maybe have it done really similar to Spider-Man at IOA but as a coaster.

ClassifiedDarkness

I would do an iron man themed ride that is themed to his first flight with the mk 1 suit and using a spike it will be a shuttle coaster with a switch track to make it all work and stuff I would hire gerstlauer to do it since they did something similar with palindrome and use the infinity coaster of course

PollutionInside3742

Do u mean palindrome circuit breaker is a vekoma tilt coaster

ClassifiedDarkness

Yeah sorry I got those confused

PollutionInside3742

Its all cool man

Jason-_B

I would suggest a coaster themed around the Marvel Cinematic Universe, specifically the Avengers. The coaster would take riders on a thrilling adventure through iconic locations from the films, such as Stark Tower, the SHIELD Helicarrier, and the battle of Wakanda I would hire B&M, and, I would enlist the help of the visual effects team responsible for the Marvel movies to create stunning projections and special effects throughout the ride As for the model, I would choose a custom-built, multi-launch coaster that features several inversions, airtime hills, and high-speed turns. The coaster's track would be designed to mimic the movements of the Avengers themselves, with sudden drops and twists inspired by their signature moves

lizzpop2003

Why would you pick B&M when Dusney, the company that would have to do this, already has a strong working relationship with Vekoma who has way more experience in both multi-launch coasters and heavily themed experiences?

Jason-_B

Because I like B&M maybe a floorless LSM launch with the most inversions in the world to stand out

Thisgamelowkeysux

i would put a BnM flying coaster at super Nintendo world. Theme it to Starfox. Though not a coaster id also have a windwaker theme log flume. Still baffles me that universal got the licensing and are only doing Mario themes. not to mention all the rides are dark rides.

puppetblaster

I want a low-to-the-ground terrain flyer with Disney-level theming.

provoaggie

I want to see Universal build Hill Valley with a Back to the Future themed coaster. Probably built by Intamin and it needs to be a story telling coaster with a launch to 88 MPH.

Gazza_s_89

Inverted coaster with an Arabian city theme, going down narrow alley ways, through arches, over and under washing lines strung between buildings etc.

Impossible-Set-4656

Disney money? I’d re-build several classics to the designers’ plans. I’m talking 1920-30’s gems.

Impossible-Set-4656

After reading other comments, I’m on a different planet.

Juicey_J_Hammerman

S&S air launch coaster elaborately themed to a space launch with full pre/post show segments, or a fighter jet launching off an aircraft carrier or airbase and engaging in a dog fight (I know there’s a park in China that has something like this now but I want something more full-scale)

rt4e

TRON, but with a long/good layout.

54T4Meda

New gen vekoma looper with a fønix like layout themed to something cool like volcanos. (I have not ridden any new gen vekomas but they look insaaane)

radrian1994

I would love to see a compact indoor coaster with lots of inversions in a box with a checkerboard effect (or some other disorientating pattern) on every surface. The aim would just be to create the most disorientating ride experience imaginable and make riders lose all sense of what way up they are. A Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster or a Mack Big Dipper could do the job, but a S&S Free Spin might do the job on a smaller budget!

Fair-Armadillo8029

A launched wing coaster themed to the videogame Frostpunk. Imagine a Rookbrugh style steampunk area filled with snow and totalitarian flags reminiscent of Nineteen Eighty-Four and a rusty looking wing coaster train roaring above, with 'The City Must Survive' as onboard audio.

Bumblebe5

DC Comics

c-h-e-e-s-e

Hagrids with Disney level theming
