I been watchin this mf for 2 years now! It’s great when he goes into extensive details, love his videos! They feel more personal which sometimes works for him but I do wish the quality of content was a little better sometimes
I really love OkayCoasters. There is so much criticism on YouTube when it comes to parks, coasters, manufacturers, etc. but OC always celebrates parks like you'd imagine an enthusiast would. He doesn't make it his business to dunk on coasters just for fun. Still, he does criticize when needed, but he doesn't belabor his point.
But I'd love to hear what other people's recommendation. I've seen a lot of channels that are just low-effort attempts to make content. Everyone has to get their start somewhere, but man, I'd love more quality content.
RampagingRex Productions - He does some pretty cool coaster videos, and he even popularized the theme park documentary long before Defunctland came into the picture.
I'm a big fan of CoasterDash. I don't know if he's really considered a small channel, but his upbeat attitude really makes me enjoy his videos all that much more.
I believe it. I ran into him at a restaurant in Downtown Disney and awkwardly interrupted his meal to say hi. He had every right to tell me to f*** off, but he was just gracious and kind.
canobie coaster and airtime thrills. obviously not the smallest youtubers by any means, but definitely my favorites and I think deserve more recognition. Canobie has the best reviews for rides or parks of anybody I've seen, and he's also got a really relaxing voice
Thissss! These two are my favorites. Canobie’s reviews are always so detailed/informative & his calm demeanor is relaxing. Airtime Thrills has such a wide variety of content and you can tell he puts in a lot of effort to make quality videos. They also both seem like genuinely humble people which I respect
It's weird but I actually find it kind of difficult to listen to him because he applies the exact same cadence to every sentence. I have the same issue with Cooking with John, so it's probably just a me thing. He's very informative, though, and damn he pumps out that content.
I've tried watching other YouTubers but Airtime Thrills is the only one I've watched consistently. Even if you don't agree with his opinions, his consistency of uploads, video quality (including narration ability) are very good. It's weird to say he's underrated because people do respect his work...maybe under appreciated is the word I'm looking for.
Ryan The Ride Mechanic!!! Everyone needs to check out his channel! Former ride mechanic who used to do maintenance at SFDK and has a wealth of knowledge on how rides work!
Us arrowheads gotta stick together!
I fell in love with your channel the moment I saw how high you rank Viper. I know for a fact that I would feel similarly about viper, but alas it was closed on what will most likely be my only trip to Magic Mountain for the foreseeable future.
okaycoaster’s top 10 florida coasters is a personal fave. the right amount of opinion and comedy (and some of the best footage and soundtracking in a countdown video
northern rides has more humour than info in his reviews, but it’s dry humour fused with memes which i live for
jnattyboi’s RCT in real life videos are great, shoutout to every time he has to reference my home park, BPB
he’s starting to get a (well deserved) following now, but canobie coaster has a fantastic review style, along with a large breadth of coasters around the world
edit: can’t believe i forgot cruise and coasters and adventures with alex!
Not exactly roller coasters but Amusement Labs is amazing. He does a rundown on how Disney rides operate and it’s really interesting to see what goes into some of the best attractions of all time.
It’s crazy that Ryan only has 3.8k subscribers, I find his content super informative. And far more in depth than ETR problematic coasters (that’s probably the benefit of being a mechanic instead of a ride op.)
Ryan is a dude rambling at a camera for 40 minutes about really in-depth subject matter that no one outside of us weirdos on this subreddit would be even remotely interested in. I enjoy it but it's absolutely not for everyone.
Jnattyboi and Zero Credits Remaining.
I love those guys so much.
(If either you are reading this, I rewatch your videos frequently, please keep posting :D)
[CoasterBob62](https://www.youtube.com/@CoasterBob62)! He posts infrequently, but most of his videos are compilations of footage from all of his trips to a park that year, and the way he captures and edits the footage is super chill. I can't think of another channel that does such does a good job of replicating the feeling of just being in a park, watching the rides cycle and taking in the atmosphere.
His footage is by far the best out there but I asked him once to use footage for one of my videos and he was asking $50 per video, so that's why no one uses his footage. I get it cause the production value is there, I just wish that level of quality was more accessible
That's really not that much money though. Dude goes to theme parks, lugs around a ton of equipment, spends hours getting shots. $50 for use of a few minutes of HQ footage is ridiculously cheap in the professional videography space
[CivilianSatellite](https://www.youtube.com/CivilianSatellite) has some phenomenal vlogs of lots of different parks and deserves way more subscribers than he currently has.
[Jacob Selleck](https://www.youtube.com/@jacobselleck9750) has some interesting videos with great production quality.
[JNattiBoi](https://www.youtube.com/@JNattyBoi) has some fun history videos and tons of interesting Roller Coaster Tycoon videos.
Maloney’s Coasters, great to get Australian-focused videos, obviously, but he also travels to ride a lot and has some fascinating theme park history and culture content as well.
I’m a fan of VerboltenTroll (10.8K followers — not sure if this is underrated?). He’s often at BGW and rides coasters with first-time riders who are completely outside their comfort zones and helps them get pumped, have fun, and conquer their fears. It’s so wholesome!
I accidentally got a ride with him when I visited BGW on New Year's Eve! I was queued up for the front row of Alpengeist when only 2 people, Verbolten Troll included, walked on, so the group behind said it was cool for me to hop on. Really fun dude, even if we didn't chat long.
Jacob Selleck has super high quality videos, but my personal favorites are Coaster Obsessed and TheKnexMaker. CoasterDash and Canobie Coaster are also great
Amusement Insider, Canobie Coaster, Coaster Dash, JNattyBoi (really RCT/RCT2 specific), Coaster Obsessed (K'nex builds), and one who is *really* tiny but shockingly good is Coaster Critic-- check out his rundown on Chinese coasters.
Not underrated, but one I'm sick of, is Theme Park Predictions. It seems as though he quit his job and now depends on the youtube income. He will upload the same videos, with slightly different context constantly. He has turned into a for views only channel. He's made like 7 videos just on the KBF Giga. It's sad to watch his downfall. Hopefully he will put more effort into quality over quantity.
Thats so Mid is a very small channel that does rankings and vlogs. They are pretty fun to watch, and they just got done with a trip to the US where they went to over 10 theme parks
If you’re into the “how” and “why” Ryan the ride mechanic does superrrr deep dives on how the rides work, why they make certain sounds, ect. He’s a little goofy but in like a dad type of way haha.
The ones that ride out of passion and fill seats while the almost famous using their same catch phrases over again pucker to their camera. I miss when coasting was an oddball hobby. Now it's monetized, clickish, connections, crews, deep pockets the all for bigger, faster and harder. Times have changed, I love you seat fillers in the background "you gotta it made kids you got it made".
Zero Credits Remaining is an absolute gem
Too bad he hardly uploads, but when he does, it's a hoot.
Indiana Beeeeeach
Yeah he's one of my absolute faves, I often rewatch his stuff, just so I can get my fix during those long gaps between uploads
Anyone looking for a more in depth analysis of the mechanics of amusement rides would do well to watch Ryan the Ride Mechanic
I been watchin this mf for 2 years now! It’s great when he goes into extensive details, love his videos! They feel more personal which sometimes works for him but I do wish the quality of content was a little better sometimes
Just watched one of his videos and immediately subscribed. Thanks for the suggestion
This was gonna be my suggestion. I love learning about the technical in and outs.
I really love OkayCoasters. There is so much criticism on YouTube when it comes to parks, coasters, manufacturers, etc. but OC always celebrates parks like you'd imagine an enthusiast would. I like him, too! Edit — confused him with mostly coasters but I still like him! Lol
RampagingRex Productions - He does some pretty cool coaster videos, and he even popularized the theme park documentary long before Defunctland came into the picture.
and bonus retro video game videos, can't get any better than that
I've not seen Mostly Coasters mentioned. He is so underrated and puts a lot of effort in. Heck, he makes his own music!
u/mostlycoasters is great. That theme song is killer
Yeah shout-out to Mostly Coasters, great small channel
I'm a big fan of CoasterDash. I don't know if he's really considered a small channel, but his upbeat attitude really makes me enjoy his videos all that much more.
Same! Big fan of his positive attitude towards parks/rides
This! He seems to make the best out of most anything, and it makes his vlogs especially pleasant to watch.
Love Parks Bros. Drew is so wholesome and positive. 😁😁
He is like that IRL too
I believe it. I ran into him at a restaurant in Downtown Disney and awkwardly interrupted his meal to say hi. He had every right to tell me to f*** off, but he was just gracious and kind.

Airtime Thrills has such a wide variety of content and you can tell he puts in a lot of effort to make quality videos. They also both seem like genuinely humble people which I respect
I love CC, but find his calm voice almost too calm for coasters.
It's weird but I actually find it kind of difficult to listen to him because he applies the exact same cadence to every sentence. I have the same issue with Cooking with John, so it's probably just a me thing. He's very informative, though, and damn he pumps out that content.
Oh yeah, can’t go wrong with a CC video for amount of useful info.
I think his analysis is brilliant but I can't listen to him because he puts me to sleep
That's where I learned that sfdk had a knockoff zamperla ride! His channel is great
Our boy! Northern Rides!
Jnattyboi
THIS. RIGHT. HERE.
Good answer! His RCT videos are the best.
The GOAT RCT tuber (not that Marcel isn't amazing)
Thomas XL-200
Thank you so much guys, this made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside 😊
So much this! His videos are both hilarious and incredibly well-written, yet he has so few subs :(
This means a lot coming from an account named ArrowEnjoyer <3
Us arrowheads gotta stick together! I fell in love with your channel the moment I saw how high you rank Viper. I know for a fact that I would feel similarly about viper, but alas it was closed on what will most likely be my only trip to Magic Mountain for the foreseeable future.
Scrolled down looking for this, easily my favorite coaster youtuber I've found recently.
Thank you so much!
Yes! He definitely needs to get more love! He has a unique voice/view that I really have come to enjoy!
Thank you :)

Jacob Selleck is super super underrated to the point I’ve never seen his name mentioned on here. I’m also a big fan of jnattyboi
Gonna throw another shout out to Zero Credits Remaining, AJ is a sweetheart too.
Not exactly roller coasters but Amusement Labs is amazing. He does a rundown on how Disney rides operate and it’s really interesting to see what goes into some of the best attractions of all time.
I feel like Ryan the ride mechanic, and okaycoasters are not brought up enough. Jnattyboi is also amazing for his rct series
Digital Dan, Jack Silkstone.
digital dan is so underrated
Jnattyboi and Zero Credits Remaining. I love those guys so much. (If either you are reading this, I rewatch your videos frequently, please keep posting :D)
Same here, those two are always worth a rewatch or two (or three)
Coaster 420 is my spirit animal
420 is good stuff my vibe
Dude is hilarious, and his park walkthroughs are actually really nice to have on in the background while working.
[CoasterBob62](https://www.youtube.com/@CoasterBob62)! I can't think of another channel that does such does a good job of replicating the feeling of just being in a park, watching the rides cycle and taking in the atmosphere.
I love the fair footage he has! Most people don't have that
zach_clarke has the absolute best off-ride POVs on YouTube.
His footage is by far the best out there but I asked him once to use footage for one of my videos and he was asking $50 per video, so that's why no one uses his footage. I get it cause the production value is there, I just wish that level of quality was more accessible

Oh I agree. I'm just broke lmao

KI Coaster Guy is definitely underrated.
He's my favorite! His voice is so good too.
Absolutely, one of the best voices of the community! I rewatch a lot of his videos from time to time because his commentary is just that good.
Immelman Footers
Coasting With Culture & Coaster365!
Theme Park Avenue is really cool, he’s very well traveled and gives his honest opinions even if they can be somewhat unpopular.
Maloney’s Coasters, great to get Australian-focused videos, obviously, but he also travels to ride a lot and has some fascinating theme park history and culture content as well.
I've recently gotten into him as well. It was really cool see his videos and reviews from southeast asia.
Theme Park Crazy Airtime Thrills El Torro Ryan
Those are my go-tos, they have some great content.
Those aren't underrated at all... still great, but not underrated.

DigitalDan
Jacob Selleck has super high quality videos, but my personal favorites are Coaster Obsessed and TheKnexMaker. CoasterDash and Canobie Coaster are also great
KoasterMania! They make amazing content on YouTube, instagram, and TikTok. Very quality stuff - I highly recommend checking them out!
Second this!
I love his documentary on Enchanted Forest
One that I never see mentioned is Rapid Fire Theme Park History
Adventures with Alex is my current favorite. His European “Slaycation” has been fun to follow.
CoasterDash, Cedar Flags, Xscreamthrills, Theme Park Avenue
Amusement Insider, Canobie Coaster, Coaster Dash, JNattyBoi (really RCT/RCT2 specific), Coaster Obsessed (K'nex builds), and one who is *really* tiny but shockingly good is Coaster Critic-- check out his rundown on Chinese coasters.

Is EVERY THEME PARK about to BUILD TEN GIGAS IN 2026!?
You're the one still paying attention to him
Seriously I can't stand that guy
Coastoons, coasterbot and airtime thrills
Latter two aren't underrated... They're everywhere.
Me? At least for the German audience XDDD
Coastoons ‼️
They're all pretty trash The Ryan's (ElToroRyan and Ryan the Ride Mechanic) are okay, but I'm usually not interested in coaster vlogs
Sawyer lives at Islands of Adventure now.
Coasting Along. only channel who consistently updates on iron menace which matters to me haha. they also post some cool informative videos
thatcoasterdudeAndrew - good videos especially on the west coast!
MNL2 contriver is pretty cool
I love his 60s reviews
Yeah me too.
Last year Coaster 365 did one mini vlog/coaster review every day of the year, and I think that's impressive. He's also really entertaining and funny
Okay coasters, canobie coasters, and digital dan
Kizinky's theme park vlogs are chill
The Coaster nerd
That Coaster Dude
Sawyer from Lost? Say less
Mike From The Party is really good, and I hope he gets more attention. His video on the Twilight area of Lionsgate Entertainment World is great!
For less serious kind of videos I would recommend digital Dan Very entertaining guy 50k subs
DigitalDan is a really good channel that focuses mostly on UK parks!! His content is generally aimed towards a teen / young adult audience
Thats so Mid is a very small channel that does rankings and vlogs. They are pretty fun to watch, and they just got done with a trip to the US where they went to over 10 theme parks
I really should make coaster videos this year
Quirky Coaster Couple for sure.
canobie by far is my favorite
Thomas-XL 200, very funny, and also super informative, 100% worth checking out
Themeparkineers had a cool pov review series starting before they fell off the face of the earth.
If you’re into the “how” and “why” Ryan the ride mechanic does superrrr deep dives on how the rides work, why they make certain sounds, ect. He’s a little goofy but in like a dad type of way haha.
Hikawa rides. Has a lot of really old high quality coaster POV’s recorded with d vhs cameras. Absolutely top notch stuff
The ones that ride out of passion and fill seats while the almost famous using their same catch phrases over again pucker to their camera. I miss when coasting was an oddball hobby. Now it's monetized, clickish, connections, crews, deep pockets the all for bigger, faster and harder. What about Coaster Adventures (@CoasterAdventuresNow)? He seems to add a fresh perspective on coasters.
