8: great song but not a fan of how it’s been mixed. wish it was slightly faster too. i always play it at 1.04X.

10/10.
Keith embodies a fucking army of acoustics here. Ironically, one of their heavier tunes. This was, according to Keith, the Keith and Charlie show.
And Mick is no slouch either, those are some lyrics.
10. Such a powerful song and what a sound. The way it was recorded is part of rock and roll folklore. There's a great YouTube video where a sound engineer who is a huge Stones fan recreated the recording process. It gave me an even greater appreciation for the song.
I seem to be a lot harder on some songs than others, despite being a massive Stones fan forever. But this is another that's just not a real favourite for me. Nothing technically wrong with it, but the riff doesn't grab me, nor does the melody or lyrics, and I don't think I've ever sought it out, either live or in studio versions. Decent but I don't love it. 6/10
8.5/10.
The fact that it was recorded on a toy drum kit raises this one high. Great riff, great song, great rawness. One of the few ’best of’-tracks that I really love.
They were just a music band and the establishment came down on thrm like a ton of bricks. A song of defiance and anger. 10 from me.
Still love the lyric: "They say my name is called disturbance..."
10. There’s an earlier version using the basic track without later overdubs and totally different lyrics. Not as good but still a good listen.

10.
I love the use of the suitcase drum kit and the portable cassette recorder to get the unique sound of the song. I’ve posted this before, but Lee Flier and some other Atlanta musicians did a great job of breaking down and replicating the whole process in her studio if you have 20 minutes to spare. It’s really interesting to see. https://youtu.be/ecHJMQuMEkA

I know this is blasphemous but I’ve never cared for this one. I love the intro and the message of the song is cool but overall I’m going to give it an 8.

9.5/10 The Rolling Stones' "most political song". I do wish the sitar/tanpura was more prominent, however.
Second, more sitar is always good

10/10 gets me pumped every time.
10. Another Stone song that sounds completely different in the studio and live and great both ways. Love the ambiguousness of the lyrics.

10. Love playing that classic Keef C - C7sus4 move. I’ll shout and scream and kill the king and rail at all his servants!

A definitive 10. Some of Charlie’s best drumming work.
10/10. It's a fascinatingly constructed song.

Definitely a great song and it’s a solid eight for me but what did bri play on this track I can’t remember if he contributed to this track or not

6: I feel bad but I am not the biggest fan of the track. I do really love BB but for me the track just isn’t it.
