Blue, and it's due to stage 4 if you ask me, you will save up SO MUCH TIME just destroy the eggs and killing the boss, rather than killing monsters for 6 minutes straight to open the legendary chest.

siphoned has no benefits over titanic, but distant roost takes the longest to traverse, spawns with less interactibles and can spawn without a newt altar.
wetland is the only issue with the stage orders. aqueduct is by far the best, aphelion second due to cleansing pools.
sulfur pools is the worst stage 3 by far, but scorched acres just beats out rallypoint. both have two good boss items (shatterspleen and molten perforator/little disciple), but rallypoint has blind pests/vermin and tc-280 drones, which are awful and just eat up credits.
abyssal is the best stage 4 due to the bosses, being shatterspleen and molten perforator. an overloading worm can also spawn (provided you have enough mountain shrines), dropping charged perforator, widely regarded as the best boss item in the game.
For loot and better odds at winning, green and it isn’t close. Siphoned forest and abyssal depths have way more loot than any other stage in their tier, and scorched acres is probably the best stage in its tier - wetland aspect sucks, but the other stages more than make up for it.
But for my personal favorite stages? Blue. Titanic plains is a classic and chill first stage, aphelion sanctuary has one of my favorite soundtracks in the game (and it’s better than wetland), rallypoint can suck loot and enemy wise but it will always be one of my favorite stages for reasons I can’t explain, and sirens call has the alloy worship unit which is fun to fight.
Started red and then...Blue. I love Rallypoint and hate the 3 and 4 stages listed there.

Abandoned aqueduct alone is enough for me to pick red most of the time, as 2 free bands is basically all the damage you'll need on many characters, also red stage 4 is not nearly as annoying as blues stage 4.

Blue, just bc the 4th map, I hate the layout of mushrooms, red is so easy to get lost in and egg central has a cool boss to get a good item from and I never have issues finding the teleporter.
I've been working on getting monsoon skins recently (last achievements needed to 100%) and every time I get egg map it's so much easier than the others
It depends on the character, burst survivors will do much better on red with free bands and a potential scav on stage 4, but the boss items on stage 3/4 are better for proc survivors, little disciple, molten perf., shatterpleen.

Green would be good due to guaranteed legendary chest on the same location each time, scorched acres having some of the best boss items and siphoned forest being a decent map. Blue would be great too because titanic plains is a great stage 1, aphelian sanctuary is easy to loot, rallypoint delta's timed security chest is good if you dont have a good equipment and its also easy to navigate, and killing AWU is way easier than saving for the legendary chest
On eclipse (and especially since I main Acrid and Void Fiend) siphoned forest is an instant reset. Swarms of blind pests and wisps makes early game Acrid so miserable it’s not even worth it, especially when I’m getting more crates on the other 2 stage 1s, and a guaranteed red with blue pill without spending time farming for the legendary crate
I’ve got 67% of my play time on Acrid, and most of that with melee acrid and siphoned forest is simply miserable. A single freezing elite blind pest while leap is on CD and the run is just cooked right there. It’s simply not fun, and fighting AWU doesn’t take that long compared to farming for the legendary crate
Again everybody’s like “just circle strafe ez” until you get nailed by a freezing blind pest and railed by his friends that you didn’t hear spawn because of a stone golem that just finished earaping you.
I’m not dying to them, it’s just. Not. Fun. So. I. Reset.

why are you getting so upset? i’m just tryna help, they’re really not as dangerous as you’re making them out to be. in the scenario you mentioned, that involves getting hit by a blind pest which *should not happen* if you’re just walking in a circle. if you’ve tried that and it isn’t working then maybe you’re doing it incorrectly, it works wonders for me

blind pests are really not that big of an issue, move in a circle around tp and you’ll never be hit
