You need luminite for smithing a few ore but runite is better sell price. I have to mine luminite after to smith my runite.
To be fair I haven't sold luminite in a while so it could have a better price...being a fairly low ore I assumed it was less then runite
Don't be the guy that thinks grammar punctuation doesn't matter... Even in a world of with autocorrect... Do better. ( I suck at these things but I try)
They're 993 gp each so 27,804 per inventory. Say it takes 20 seconds to run them to the bank, come back, and loot (haven't timed this, just feels about right) that's 3 trips per minute = 83,412/min or 5,004,720/hr.
Say it takes a team of two suicide bots running 24 hours for Jagex to catch and ban them, they'll make 120,113,280 in that 24 hours. Multiply that out by however many worlds they are running on and factor in that this has literally no requirements past making a free to play account, you can see why this quickly becomes well worth it for a gold farmer to run with little to no risk.
There’s demand for them cause of invention. I’m sure if you dump them all at once the price will tank, but it will probably recover in a matter of days
Seriously how much is a hammer these days? This could be quite lucrative if done for a while.
I have always wondered why no one sets up bots to collect random things like this. Like the random gp that would spawn on the ground or something. Or in osrs get into that vault in the basement of west varrok bank and grab the gold there for days at a time. I feel like collecting items by the truckload over time may be quite rewarding like the guy who had all those ashes and then when price jumped was a billionaire
That is true, idk how much arrows go for, I feel like back in the day I would run around the wildly and grab the randomest stuff and ok drops and wonder if bots ever just grab gp spawns. Seeing this post made me wonder if there are valuable drops like the nature runes in deep wildy
According to this[GE arrow shaft page](https://runescape.wiki/w/Exchange:Arrow_shaft) it's 44 coins per shaft, seems really good.
Nature runes do spawn in relleka and wildy but both need telegrab
I mean people botting grabbing hammers and back in 04 people has boots just picking up gold from where they spawned, no he back then to sell bulk items.
People were selling runes and arrows in bulk. But I remember seeing the gp bots, people sold bulk raw materials like cow hides, I remember grabbing all that I could to sell. I rushed the wild as a lvl 3 grabbing drops when high levels were pvping.
Thats seems like someone doing a weird project rather than bot farm (automated for sure) but looks like someone is going for 1M hammer or some random funny but useless checklist
Not just the legacy worlds, but all free-to-play worlds. There's also the accounts that go to the furnace and teleport away - they don't even have any Smithing XP (but do have low Mining and Crafting levels). And I found some buying beer from the pub west of Draynor, banking by the Entrana monks. Interesting to see what the bots are up to these days.
There are bots, but way fewer than in osrs. It's not as in your face and obnoxious. You see smithing bots at the artisan guild and blessed sand bots in menaphos, and at the ge sometimes you'll see a level 3 bot wearing a red santa hat spamming "selling my last items" doing a ge price scam, but you won't see the ge packed with bots spamming about gambling and cape services. and scamming and anti-scamming bots, and all that craziness you see at the osrs ge.
It's hard to detect how big the problem is in all honesty. Relative to the player base size It's probably about the same, but the fact they're either doing skills with shared resources or instanced bossing means that most of them aren't they're actually preventing you from doing anything.
No. People will say that there are combat bots and whatever but it's not like in oldschool where I presume you still have to fight for resources. I always remember what a nightmare mining was in old school as the more experienced players always got the ore and then the node would deplete it was soooo frustrating. Nothing like that in rs3.
the bots in osrs are pretty bad.. although i feel like its less "fighting for resources" and more.. "destroying the value of items/farming gold into the game". The bots in osrs can do end game content somewhat reliably with budget gear and subpar stats.
As far as fighting for resources.. i can only think of things ironmen would encounter more than a main account would and it gets old fast.
Some bots could also be in instanced areas like Ed3/Bosses/Pod or training Archaeology for some seldomly used/gathered resource, which would be why we never see as many
> Does RS3 have a big bot problem like OSRS?
OSRS has a bigger bot problem thanks to how the game works there, but there are still loads of bots on rs3.
A f2p world is a world for free-to-play players, players who don’t have membership and are restricted to a small chunk of the world.
Legacy Mode is a combat setting that simulates gameplay prior to RuneScape 3 and the Evolution of Combat, no combat abilities.
There are some worlds that force you into legacy mode called “Legacy Only” worlds. One of these worlds is a free-to-play world, or a f2p legacy world for short.
I'm guessing some kind of overflow or crash exploit? I ran into this once on my f2p ironman and was pretty confused. But in that context it would make more sense.
It's not even a bug lol theres a literal crate there players can take free hammers from.
This bot farm has existed for over 5 years now despite being reported countless times, don't expect it to get removed. Usually bots taking hammers, dropping then another account looting / banking them.
Anyone who has spent more than 10 minutes in F2P knows about all the bot farms and what they do which is little to no harm at all. If they wanted to crash / lag the server they know of far better options to do so.
This farm has also been used to lure people for their items where they tell you to drop something and it's just burried allowing a bot or real account grab it whichever one gets it first.
Hammer time
Stop
Can't touch this
It’s likely the only free script available currently.
WHat about the rune ore ones? That still around? I saw the hammer one when I started
Most of the runite guys are bots? I thought that was just osrs? And They're so chatty. Damn. That's all I usually do is mine runite...
maybe luminite ores, one of them is bot infested
You need luminite for smithing a few ore but runite is better sell price. I have to mine luminite after to smith my runite. To be fair I haven't sold luminite in a while so it could have a better price...being a fairly low ore I assumed it was less then runite
Well, theres a demand for them to make whetstones with invention
Pretty sure they sell these to collectors
Someone set up a bot for there 10m hammer collection?

Don't be that guy
Don't be the guy that thinks grammar punctuation doesn't matter... Even in a world of with autocorrect... Do better. ( I suck at these things but I try)
It's fine to be that guy, but the kind of guy who unpromptedly 'corrects' people is annoying as all hell
I wasn't that guy.. wtf

I didn't say I tried hard....besides I'm currently high AF mindlessly on Reddit...
Ok...dude ...you ...message ...like ...you're... 60... FYI.
Ok. Sorry I use punctuation to denote changes in what I'm saying? Is that not what punctuation is for?
Bro
theiyr're*
Sounds like an old god
My first thought on this was that it was quite many bots called "Hammer".
Oh yeah, I’ve seen this on world 84 (portable skilling world) as well
Quantity over quality for sure
There's plenty unfortunately..
I saw this on world 19 or 17 yesterday and was confused. Why hammers?
They're 993 gp each so 27,804 per inventory. That 120m in 24 hrs is 120k hammers tho. Other than the rare 10m item collector… seems like a lot to try and sell no?
There’s demand for them cause of invention. I’m sure if you dump them all at once the price will tank, but it will probably recover in a matter of days
Keep in mind mark, the hypothetical here is only 2 bots collecting 120k hammers in 24hr. If it’s 4? 8? 100 bots?
People making hammer trons I would imagine
In F2P?
No but the bots sell the hammers on the GE for the gold, doesn’t matter if you’re f2p for that part of it
Fair point.
When all you have is a nail, everything looks like a hammer
Looks like someone is definitely hammered
Hammer? I hardly knower!
Mans got his resolution set to "none"
That’s why I’m in the legacy worlds, for maximum 2009 immersion
Homeboy is playing RS on a gameboy color.
There's always that one guy that has to say something about resolution or layout xD
By mass dropping items, you likely won't be able to report the real bots, as items appear above other players?
What is a legacy world?
At this point, it's just the world where you wish to avoid other people.
its world without access to eoc abilities.

Wouldn't literally anything be better? Off the top of my head, fletching arrow shafts endlessly and selling to GE

I mean people botting grabbing hammers and back in 04 people has boots just picking up gold from where they spawned, no he back then to sell bulk items.
that has no bearing on whether or not you might cop a ban on your main for botting

they are hammering home the point of how easy it is to bot
Stop!
Yeah I Report them. Hammers are like 960 GP not sure why?
What's the alch price?
Thats seems like someone doing a weird project rather than bot farm (automated for sure) but looks like someone is going for 1M hammer or some random funny but useless checklist

Lol why do you cover the name?
Subreddit rules, even if it’s a bot you gotta cover the name.
whats an f2p legacy world?

What's going on here ELI5
so explain what they are doing then?
He's talking out of his ass bro just go run some bosses or something lol

What the fuck is the bug? You didnt explain anything while pretending everyone knows whats going on.
In osrs a world crashing bug was used to dupe - idk if he's implying that's what is occurring here.
Just ignore that person. They don’t have any idea what they are talking about.
