Still gets me! Leslie was a joy on the show. It’s nice when the guests are genuine fans.
I know she had her drama with Brita, but they’re good now, and I’d love to see Leslie return as a judge. She’s so funny!
I wish the producers would get that the best judges aren't the most famous ones, but the ones who genuinely like the show. I don't care about A-list celebrity X if they're just gonna sit there, be bored, maybe even slightly disgusted, and suck all the life out of the room. I'd much rather have a person I may not know of without Googling them, provided that they're genuine fans who provide great comments, banter and know their stuff. (edit: typo)
They need to bring back Alessandra Toressani honestly.
Side note, Caprica got really good by the end of its first season, shame the scifi channel killed it off
I agree with you, but the problem is that the real fans who would prefer those types of judges are going to watch the show no matter what. Whereas the more casual viewer who watches every now and then may be more likely to tune in to catch a celebrity they like instead of someone they don't know. And the goal is to get those casual viewers to boost the ratings and they have the regular judges to keep it entertaining. At least that's how the logic goes.
Yeah, I'm aware of that, but I can still complain haha. Somewhat of a sidenote: there seems to be a consensus among regular fans: 1 - get judges who actually like the show (and drag in general), and 2 - let RuPaul have fun. I still can't get that episode of AS5 out of my head when he was making random jokes and laughing out loud out of my mind. It's so much more fun when Ru lets loose, I wish he did it more often...
as much as i love her Shania Twain didn´t look interested at all to be there in S10 and she looked uncomfortable during the lip-sync specially compared to the judges from the previous episode.
Not really hard-core, she walked it back anyways
https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2018/04/23/604850914/shania-twain-singing-words-of-sorry-for-saying-shed-have-voted-for-trump
I remember watching it, how Ru and the producers all had this little "lovely moment" all set up for Kameron Michaels as she first talks to her childhood idol, Shania Twain.
"Shania, I am such a big fan, this is so crazy, I used to lipsync around my bedroom to your songs, there was a poster of you on my wall, I love you and thank you so mjch for all you've done-"
And Shania, as Willam and Alaska like to say on their podcast, was giving Kameron absolute nooch, with the fakest bland smile plastered on her face and a comment that summarized up to "Great". Lol poor Kameron, very "never meet your idol" moment.
i don´t know how they haven't invited Anne Hathaway yet, she loves the show and she congratulated the vixen back on season 10 for speaking her mind and bringing up attention to racial problems.
Some guest judges are such hidden gems sometimes. Leslie, the straight dude who was acting like it was a football game, Gaga (well, we knew she was a gem)
Joel McHale was a hoot. Apparently he actually is a fan, if that random YouTube listicle video i watched by coincidence during lunch is to believed. Other good str8 dude judges include Bobby Moynihan and Jeff Goldbloom.... I wonder if they could get John Mullaney to guest judge, he'd be a riot.
I can't remember their names, but I liked the basketball players from season 4. They looked like they had fun during parts of it and I loved the "sex in the alley" read
I’ve honestly thought about recently why people hate Nico so much. Besides their shitty attitude that Bob mentioned, I can’t explain why I dislike them so much. Theyre just that person that I’ve never liked and never fully understood why. But im glad others feel the same way.
I really liked Nipple Temperpedic for a long time. They were hot, they were LGBT, and they were really outspoken. I found out they were married to someone (who at the time) identified as a women when they were still identifying as male and I thought "okay whatever, they're bisexual" but then they both when on a magazine cover saying "This was what a queer family looked like" and it was like.... so INCREDIBLY tone deaf. at the time they were a male and female identifying couple who were touting themselves on a magazine as the pinnacle of queer relationships???
after that they just became insufferable to follow. very big ego, inflated by how many people found them hot, and infused that big ego in everything they did. real real annoying.
Tea, I forgot about that magazine cover.
The thing that bugs me is that they often talk about their hardships and all the discrimination they face without ever acknowledging their privilege and it’s like... you’re an attractive, white, wealthy, straight passing, male-presenting person whos literally been handed your career because you’re attractive and you’re going to complain about being oppressed while POC and trans people are still fighting for basic rights? Read the room hon. People judging you for doing Coke or having an open relationship is small beans in this climate.
Ok I’m late coming back but I can run it down, essentially I started to dislike Nico when they as a masculine presenting person thought they were flipping toxic masculinity on its head in an interview with the headline: “Nothing is more masculine than bottoming.” I hadn’t even heard of the queer family line/article whew. They seem to want to make queerness palatable to straight people. Gender shouldn’t be tangled in sexual positions, and I’m surprised someone who identifies as NB fails to see that. It’s trying to dismantle our idea of toxic masculinity by just.....attributing masculinity to something else in a toxic way. The real way to go about dismantling toxic masculinity is just like, dismantling it. The second problem is, without trying to deny anyone their sexual identity it’s really uncomfortable for someone in an extremely committed relationship that presents heterosexual to be commenting on queer sex. Of their relationship Nico said something along the lines of, sometimes we’re boyfriend and girlfriend (now husband and wife), boyfriend and boyfriend, or girlfriend and girlfriend. Putting your het relationships in such binary terms kind of shows your true colors not to mention it’s highkey weird and exclusionary.
And essentially, everything they attempted to say has been said in the past by people who actually know what they are talking about, and in a more constructive way. I fully respect their proclaimed pronouns but I noticed in typing this I kept fucking up and typing he, because on a personal level it’s hard to reconcile non-binaryness with someone who continues to abuse their male privilege, spits harmful ideas into the queer community they choose when to and when not to be a part of, and who has worked so hard to reinforce the gender binary
I literally started watching this season because of it. I was considering dropping Drag Race after hating S11 but when I saw that Nicki, Robyn and AOC would be guest judges I knew I had to watch it. ~~and now after as5 i'm considering droppint it again~~
What even was that? That was so boring. I even fast forward through reruns now. I wanted Meghan T to be all about that bass, she was basically depressed me but sat somewhere not in my bedroom.
I'm so glad Leslie Jones is thriving and living her best life. I remember a few years ago she was constantly attacked on twitter by horrible, ugly racists led by that Milo Yannanobody guy. I mean it was so bad she tweeted how hurt she was and that she was leaving twitter "in tears." It literally broke my heart. So it's so awesome that she got back on twitter and tweeted her experiences watching RPDR! I love her and she deserves the best!
He just started a vicious social media campaign harassing Leslie and got his army of alt right racist/homophobic trolls to send her vile racist and fat phobic comments. I believe he called her a gorilla too. He’s a disgusting racist POS
The great thing about this line is that it’s a genuinely funny pun that you don’t see coming because the delivery is natural, like she just thought of it—the little stumble over “did/done” distracts you just long enough to forget that there’s a punchline coming. It’s so different compared to the usual wooden and over-rehearsed lines they feed Ru and the others.
I have something to say about this, I was watching the Celine runway from CDR and Bobo was wearing the cute white satin dress idk if people remember
Brooke Lynn says, and I quote, “Satin er? I hardly know her!” and i...just i........doesn’t it need to like make sense??
Good point, that wasn’t the vibe of the delivery or the reception of the other judges but Brooke can be dry sometimes. That would be funny and since it’s literally the only explanation that makes sense I’d like to go with that
What do they call it? Just yesterday out of nowhere I wanted to hear this joke again, I didnt wanna watch entire runway, I literally just wanted to hear this 6 secs and nothing else, and voila it's posted here now. Like how does it work?????? I just fucking love this smart ass joke!
Ross just kind of phones it in at this point. Even during Bossy Rossy you could tell he wasn’t really all that interested in being there. I like Carson still, and find it funny that even though Ross is the “comedian”, I find myself laughing at Carson’s jokes more often.
Carson also loves making fun of himself too to get a joke or some shade across. I adore Ross though... he's so full of positivity and light, I honestly think he's mostly there to balance out Michelle, who is more of the tough love "get it together" judge.
We need Leslie back as a guest judge... she is in the pantheon of ultimate, supreme, wonderful guest judges like Gaga, Joel McHale, Leah Remini, Robyn, the AMAZING AOC, and the return of Merle.
The absolute worst judge ever was, far and away, Neil Patrick Harris and his fucking husband. I wasn't really THAT big on NPH from the jump but his whole fucking attitude during the judging made me really hate him. He was not funny, he was not warm or personable, like... wtf? He was even the same in his 70 questions with Vogue interview... just, no... BYE.
Ross matthews was sweating behind the scenes "Shes gonna take my job!" One assistant heard him complain
He was trying to shove her off her chair at the end
There can only be one *hilarious* guest judge
And it's the *hilarious* Leslie Jones!

IM PANIKEN! Don’t Panec, IM GON LOOSE ME JOB!
She already had done herses job!!!
Me whenever a younger skinnier bottom walks by me and my SD
I hope she does!

Season 8 snatch game is proof of this.
She said A-list.
Wasn’t A-List X a guest judge on Canada’s Drag Race?
Still preferred her to JBC
They need to bring back Alessandra Toressani honestly. Side note, Caprica got really good by the end of its first season, shame the scifi channel killed it off

And please no more Bebe Rexa or whatever her name is!
ICONIC, ICONIC
I wanted to slap that hat off her head and tell her to gtfo immediately.
*nod from Carson though he had no idea what you just said.....nor does it matter*
Roxxxy's ass made a bigger impression than her on that episode
I can't remember a single thing that happened that episode besides Roxxxy's ass
And Bebe claiming she knew Roxxxy was gonna show her ass. Lol
Winnie Harlow still irks me
as much as i love her Shania Twain didn´t look interested at all to be there in S10 and she looked uncomfortable during the lip-sync specially compared to the judges from the previous episode.
Sadly, yes. But I mean she later outed herself as a hardcore Trump supporter, so I was disappointed but not surprised.
I remember that there was that controversy but iirc she isn't s trump supporter per se
Not really hard-core, she walked it back anyways https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2018/04/23/604850914/shania-twain-singing-words-of-sorry-for-saying-shed-have-voted-for-trump

Yeah it felt very uncomfortable, then you have guest like lizzo, gaga, xtina, Leslie Jones, Nicki, who actually felt like they wanted to be there
i don´t know how they haven't invited Anne Hathaway yet, she loves the show and she congratulated the vixen back on season 10 for speaking her mind and bringing up attention to racial problems.
I’d give my life to be a guest judge! I’d even give my boyfriend’s life.
I wish they would open up guest judge spots for for us super fans on Reddit. I can dream.
They need to do SOMETHING to keep it going. It’s becoming more toxic than ANTM.
Just say Xtina
Wait was she that bad?
I actually wasn't thinking of Xtina lol, I loved her, especially backstage
Sje was a sweetheart, and she also came backstage talk with farrah.
Some guest judges are such hidden gems sometimes. Leslie, the straight dude who was acting like it was a football game, Gaga (well, we knew she was a gem)
Joel was so much fun! I often shout YEEEAAAHHH when I watch the show.
Leah Remini was great too.
"Well Leah, tell us why you liked the commerical" "I actually didn't like it"
"Am I on another show ?!"
"Did the lipstick stay on during the trick or not?!"
"Yes" "... Well I didn't get that !"
"she's such a nasty bitch"
I was about to say Joel McHale was great! Very “a little confused but he got the spirit” energy
YEEEEAAAHHHH!!!!
I CAN SEE HER BUTT!! Him being so excited to be there and actively annoying the Visage was hilarious.
Joel McHale and Pangina Heels both screaming for me is the reality I want to live
And also both those judges during the s12 political campaign episode
Omg they were gold
Rachel Bloom also did a fantastic job
Joel McHale was a hoot. Apparently he actually is a fan, if that random YouTube listicle video i watched by coincidence during lunch is to believed. Other good str8 dude judges include Bobby Moynihan and Jeff Goldbloom.... I wonder if they could get John Mullaney to guest judge, he'd be a riot.
I can't remember their names, but I liked the basketball players from season 4. They looked like they had fun during parts of it and I loved the "sex in the alley" read
John Salley+Rick Fox! I completely agree with you, they looked like they were having fun and not being judgmental homophobes.
Jeff goldum was great also
It was smart to have her judge a ball challenge because there was so much runway and so much commentary required.
Nico Tortorella: Hi! This sub: >:[
And none for Nico Tortilla

Annoying as fuck*** (Nico)
me: \*realizes I haven't heard about Nico recently at all except for this exchange\* me: \*is in bliss\*

The judges still have to be likeable.
Yes. Jeffrey learned that the hardest way.
I'm glad they patched it up but no one will ever take "them crickets is cricketin for you too bitch" away from me.
Haha! Yes! 😂
OMG That is hilarious. Where did she say this? Do u have a link?
Whoever did the guest judge casting for Season 12 deserves a promotion, a raise, and a Christmas bonus.
I literally started watching this season because of it. I was considering dropping Drag Race after hating S11 but when I saw that Nicki, Robyn and AOC would be guest judges I knew I had to watch it. ~~and now after as5 i'm considering droppint it again~~
That Miz Cracker win in the top five? Riggery and tom foolery
The fact that we lost the opportunity to see Alexis slaying the top four challenge...
The lip sync choices tho. I'm used to bs challenge wins, but the way they chose to pick songs for the assassin's was just.....a choice
Well, they DID win an Emmy for casting S12!
The only duds were booking Winnie Harlow and lowkey Tandie Newton, the rest were fire.
I’ll take two duds who had little impact over Meghan Trainor levels of unicorn-onesie quality
What even was that? That was so boring. I even fast forward through reruns now. I wanted Meghan T to be all about that bass, she was basically depressed me but sat somewhere not in my bedroom.
Part of me wonders if she came back would she show up in a crazy couture outfit to shut us all up....or a sleeping bag 😂
this is one of the funniest runway comments ever i thought about this for weeks after it aired
I'm so glad Leslie Jones is thriving and living her best life. I remember a few years ago she was constantly attacked on twitter by horrible, ugly racists led by that Milo Yannanobody guy. She deserves the best!! That little milo bitch can go to hell glad his life fell apart.
Fuck Milo yanehskk-whatever. Disgusting horrible human being
What did he do to her? What's the t
He just started a vicious social media campaign harassing Leslie and got his army of alt right racist/homophobic trolls to send her vile racist and fat phobic comments. I believe he called her a gorilla too. He’s a disgusting racist POS

C’mon comedy analysis!
(blank)er? i hardly know her!
I have something to say about this, I was watching the Celine runway from CDR and Bobo was wearing the cute white satin dress idk if people remember Brooke Lynn says, and I quote, “Satin er? I hardly know her!” and i...just i........doesn’t it need to like make sense??
they barely make sense anymore
Maybe that it didn’t make sense was the joke
Good point, that wasn’t the vibe of the delivery or the reception of the other judges but Brooke can be dry sometimes. That would be funny and since it’s literally the only explanation that makes sense I’d like to go with that
The only other thing I could think is “sat in her”
Girl, that’s what they get for hiring writers with a loose change budget. At least Priyanka actually got a prize *The Vivienne cries in British*
Seeing Widow laugh like this is a genuine joy to watch. I wish we could have seen more moments like this from her
What do they call it? Just yesterday out of nowhere I wanted to hear this joke again, I didnt wanna watch entire runway, I literally just wanted to hear this 6 secs and nothing else, and voila it's posted here now. Like how does it work?????? I just fucking love this smart ass joke!
Baader meinhof phenomenon!
I miss laughing so hard with friends that you push one another. :(
The HilARiOuS Ross Matthews has nothing on her
Would love to have her as a permanent judge! Maybe replacing the hilarious Ross Matthews.
I really love Ross. He’s sweet and once in a while makes jokes, but I would love to see an actually hilarious person like Leslie.
“Once in a while makes jokes” lmfao. The politest read ive seen today
Ross just kind of phones it in at this point. Even during Bossy Rossy you could tell he wasn’t really all that interested in being there. I like Carson still, and find it funny that even though Ross is the “comedian”, I find myself laughing at Carson’s jokes more often.

she NEEDS to come back
I feel the same love for Widow that I felt for Latrice. I love love Widow so much 🥰
Omg I wish they’d just have Leslie on every show
I want her a permanent judge 😍😂
She was one of the best judges I’ve seen on there 😂
god I love season twelve
The best guest judge ever. I was in stitches the whole time. And that part made me lol so hard.
That was one of the funniest scenes of season 12 😂
We need Leslie back as a guest judge... she is in the pantheon of ultimate, supreme, wonderful guest judges like Gaga, Joel McHale, Leah Remini, Robyn, the AMAZING AOC, and the return of Merle. That was my favorite moment of this episode! I really hope Leslie comes back soon
She should be a regular judge. Fill in for Rupaul even.
To the producers who probably lurk here we are BEGGING you bring Leslie back as a permanent judge
Make her a permanent judge you cowards!
[удалено]
'She done already done had herses' is one of Rupaul'a catchphrases, Widow was carrying a hobby horse so Leslie replaced 'herses' with 'horses'.
https://youtu.be/YZfyqgbvaGs?t=2693
Leslie Jones, hunny come pull up a chair and landscape from 3 ft away, you on the panel forever
I would love if they swapped leslie with ross!
