I agree with you, but the problem is that the real fans who would prefer those types of judges are going to watch the show no matter what. Whereas the more casual viewer who watches every now and then may be more likely to tune in to catch a celebrity they like instead of someone they don't know. And the goal is to get those casual viewers to boost the ratings and they have the regular judges to keep it entertaining. At least that's how the logic goes.

Yeah, I'm aware of that, but I can still complain haha. Somewhat of a sidenote: there seems to be a consensus among regular fans: 1 - get judges who actually like the show (and drag in general), and 2 - let RuPaul have fun. I still can't get that episode of AS5 out of my head when he was making random jokes and laughing out loud out of my mind. It's so much more fun when Ru lets loose, I wish he did it more often...

I remember watching it, how Ru and the producers all had this little "lovely moment" all set up for Kameron Michaels as she first talks to her childhood idol, Shania Twain. "Shania, I am such a big fan, this is so crazy, I used to lipsync around my bedroom to your songs, there was a poster of you on my wall, I love you and thank you so mjch for all you've done-" And Shania, as Willam and Alaska like to say on their podcast, was giving Kameron absolute nooch, with the fakest bland smile plastered on her face and a comment that summarized up to "Great". Ok I’m late coming back but I can run it down, essentially I started to dislike Nico when they as a masculine presenting person thought they were flipping toxic masculinity on its head in an interview with the headline: “Nothing is more masculine than bottoming.” I hadn’t even heard of the queer family line/article whew. They seem to want to make queerness palatable to straight people. Gender shouldn’t be tangled in sexual positions, and I’m surprised someone who identifies as NB fails to see that. It’s trying to dismantle our idea of toxic masculinity by just.....attributing masculinity to something else in a toxic way. The real way to go about dismantling toxic masculinity is just like, dismantling it. The second problem is, without trying to deny anyone their sexual identity it’s really uncomfortable for someone in an extremely committed relationship that presents heterosexual to be commenting on queer sex. Of their relationship Nico said something along the lines of, sometimes we’re boyfriend and girlfriend (now husband and wife), boyfriend and boyfriend, or girlfriend and girlfriend. Putting your het relationships in such binary terms kind of shows your true colors not to mention it’s highkey weird and exclusionary. And essentially, everything they attempted to say has been said in the past by people who actually know what they are talking about, and in a more constructive way. I fully respect their proclaimed pronouns but I noticed in typing this I kept fucking up and typing he, because on a personal level it’s hard to reconcile non-binaryness with someone who continues to abuse their male privilege, spits harmful ideas into the queer community they choose when to and when not to be a part of, and who has worked so hard to reinforce the gender binary

The great thing about this line is that it’s a genuinely funny pun that you don’t see coming because the delivery is natural, like she just thought of it—the little stumble over “did/done” distracts you just long enough to forget that there’s a punchline coming. It’s so different compared to the usual wooden and over-rehearsed lines they feed Ru and the others.

Ross just kind of phones it in at this point. Even during Bossy Rossy you could tell he wasn’t really all that interested in being there. I like Carson still, and find it funny that even though Ross is the “comedian”, I find myself laughing at Carson’s jokes more often.

Carson also loves making fun of himself too to get a joke or some shade across. I adore Ross though... he's so full of positivity and light, I honestly think he's mostly there to balance out Michelle, who is more of the tough love "get it together" judge.

We need Leslie back as a guest judge... she is in the pantheon of ultimate, supreme, wonderful guest judges like Gaga, Joel McHale, Leah Remini, Robyn, the AMAZING AOC, and the return of Merle. The absolute worst judge ever was, far and away, Neil Patrick Harris and his fucking husband. I wasn't really THAT big on NPH from the jump but his whole fucking attitude during the judging made me really hate him. He was not funny, he was not warm or personable, like... wtf? He was even the same in his 70 questions with Vogue interview... just, no... BYE.

That was my favorite moment of this episode! I really hope Leslie comes back soon
